Cons: Not really

Pros: Good simple design, and it's usb 3
Comment:
use it to replace an older usb 2 adapter, and this one design is a bit more simple than my old usb 2 one

Cons: -Connecting sata Hard drie, you need to be carefull, do not push hard, in case you can broke HDD connector-Doesn't seems to have smart support over USB3? my External HDD has.

Pros: -Small-USB3, so fast HDD speed-Connected on first try, with 5 HDD
Comment:
I don't have the product for a long time, but I do have the USB2 version and this one is cleary better. Worth a a 4 star, because it doesn't seems to have the SMART over USB3 (will have to test a newer drive) and because of the price (needed to price match :D)

Cons: Problematic/incompatible with Linux

Pros: Every HDD interface ever madeUSB 3.0 allows full drive speedThe only USB3-IDE adapter in existence
Comment:
I thought this was the perfect solution to reuse my old IDE drives for backups. The USB 3.0 interface allows drives to operate at full speed. As far as I can tell, this is the only USB 3.0 - IDE adapter in existence. It has 3 interfaces - IDE, 3.5" SATA and 2.5" SATA.I wanted this to work in Linux but initially it didn't. I even filed a Linux kernel bug against it:https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43279It worked after a workaround involving plugging other devices in at the same time or allowing the drive to spin up before plugging it in.Now, however, I can't get it to work at all. Once it's failed on USB 3.0, it may work once or twice on USB 2.0, then it won't work at all.I know hardly anyone runs Linux and because the manufacturer doesn't list support for it, it was a risk. But it should have worked...Don't get this if you run Linux.

Cons: A little fiddly, had to power it on and off a couple of times before the right lights came on, and the connectors don't seem to connect firmly.

Pros: Does exactly what it says it does. Got it to transfer old IDE drive data from non-working computer. Worked fine.
Comment:
Manual is minimal. Product is simple to use. Very convenient, does exactly what it says it does. Read older IDE off the bat. Couldn't get it to read my SATA SSD, but then again neither could my computer, so I'm blaming the SSD.

Cons: For some IDE (PATA) drives you'll need to set the jumpers to master to work, You may need to plug it in the back USB ports to work.

Pros: It has a wall adapter, Not the big Brick one.
Comment:
The SATA connecter & power SATA is in one connecter on the USB Adapter. It uses a floppy drive power connector from the USB adapter to a Molex connector to power your older IDE (PATA) HDD's & DVD Drives. The AC/DC wall adapter has a on/off switch on the wire. This is a Good smart design for a USB adapter, I'd buy this again.

Cons: none

Pros: Super fast, easy to use
Comment:
I bought this to replace my USB2 IDE/SATA to USB adapter. I must say that i'm impress with the USB3 speed. My drive are as fast ass if they where directly conencted to Sata/eSata port.

Cons: First one was defective. Had to RMA.

Pros: Works well with both HDDs and Optical Drives.
Comment:
It's nice to be able to actually plug-in a HDD without having to take the computer apart and go through the hassle of SATA. Something to note with IDE optical drives is that the sides of the power-connector rub against the unit itself when you try to plug it in. It still works fine, it's just not connected 100% snugly. My first unit was defective, and actually caused one of my hard-drives power connector to spark. I'd recommend being a VIP member if you're going to get one of these to make RMA painless if you have the same issue.
