Like the title says it slow but certain. Really slow create speed but a seriously nice device.I enjoy havng this on my keychain to connect to my auto Kenwood 5120 stereo/GPS, it holds all of my music securely. Slow write speed and a little rubber seal on the inside is effortlessly lost when open and that's the only drawbacks. |

Excellent price tag, lots of room, nicely protected PAINFULLY slow compared to the Flash Voyager GT - which this has replaced (only due to size!).A bit bulky. I would Much rather have a bigger GT than this device. |

It's built like no other. I bought it for the metal since I kept breaking other flash drives off my keychain. 16 GB is a lot of storage for my everyday transfers in between property and work. Soooooooo slooooow. I transfer a lot of little files, couple kb. What employed to take about 2 minutes on the last three flash drives I utilised takes up to 7-ten mins. It really is ridiculous. As talked about in other evaluations, large files Ɠ+ MB) transfer more rapidly but nonetheless really feel slower than standard flash drives. Corsair rep mentioned that the speeds were continual with the "standard speeds" primarily based on the test app they had me run on the drive, but I'm confident it's testing with big files and not a much of tiny files like internet content. I am searching for a faster drive built as nicely as this but have but to uncover 1 with a metal essential chain point. 3 eggies for the toughness which is now a requirement, but not four or 5 since everyday I transfer files and it's like watching my life tick away at fiveᚨp waiting to go house. |

Really pleased with this flash drive so far, seems to be rapidly enough for my needs. none This issue is huge , the actual memory component is not but the case is. If your searching for anything little and compact look elseware. But if your hunting for protection this is it. |

The "Survivor" title is indeed warranted. This point can survive a vast quantity of abuse. Can not format to NTSF. This is truly the only draw backs for me. A answer to this is making use of a free system named "The File Splitter." This can resolve the maximum 4GB file size concern. There has been a good deal of discussion about the speed of this drive. I have identified that the drive is not as slow as some protest. Though I do have to say that the drive is not lightning quickly it does execute well sufficient fpr the storage space and the durability of the drive. One tiny factor, the rubber on the cap rotates. I ended up super gluing mine and it ended up getting just perfect. I glued beneath the rubber and rotated it and let it set. No much more issue with that. If I didn't glue it, the rubber probably would have gotten lost. If durability of a flash drive is what you are definitely concerned about surely get this drive. You will not be disappointed. This drive will not give you lightning quickly transfer speeds you may well discover elsewhere else but this drive will guarantee your data is secure through physical protection and electronic encryption via True Crypt. I have suggested this drive to various people, a few of which decided to acquire one particular and exactly where glad they did so. |

None!!! Just opened the new Drive and began to move data to it when it failed. It is now a “READ ONLY” Drive. Can’t Repair ItFormat It Delete something on it. It is now a .00 lead weight. Can’t RMA it because of the sensitive data that is on it. |

There are no pros to a drive that doesn't preserve data. I have 2 of these, both are providing corrupted file errors right after 3 months of use and following reformatting. |

-Feels sturdy as opposed to other flash drives i have had.-Bought it so i could back up all my school operate and lab data. Wanted anything i knew wouldnt get ruined in my pocket or on my keychain and I feel like Corsair delivered.-Produced by corsair will need i say much more! None so far I understand that having the "connection" to my keychain attached to the physical flash drive delivers additional protection against loosing it. That getting stated, I generally have to get rid of it from my keychain (due to weight difficulties) and then unscrew it to use it. This entire obtaining to take away it from my keychain appears to defeat the goal of attempting to retain from losing it. Personally it feels weird to me and perhaps would choose the case aspect be connected to my keychain and the flashdrive itself unscrew from the case/keychain. Just a random believed and not a complaint. Have usually been impressed with my Corsair products and so far this is no various. |

Works as it's supposed to, no difficulties. Of course it does not take a PHD to use these factors either. But it's solid and good. None. Forgot to mention that it is rugged, as advertised, my 9 year old ran over it with his 4 wheeler (it fell out of my pocket) and it nevertheless works completely. |

It is virtually indestructible. I normally keep it on my important ring and it goes everywhere I go. I do a fantastic bit of aquatic investigation and if it gets dirty I just wash it under the sink. Very nicely built and the cap is tight fitting. Speed, but this isn't their GT drive and frankly, how quite a few men and women are going to really will need that significantly speed on transportable storage? It tends to make an awesome baby teething toy. My 9 mo old niece wants it every single time she comes to the residence and has beat it, chewed on it, and thrown it on the floor repeatedly. If it can survive that, I do think it can survive just about anything. |

Loads of space, wonderful case, modest enough for keys but huge sufficient to not slip involving cracks. Slow loading and unloading of files. much better to ZIP the files than to upload/download multiple files. Firewire in fact does a number of files quicker than USB 2.Turn into an NTFS instead of FAT32 to fix this (must do protected removal each time in NTFS) Great for storage hogs |

Incredibly rugged, no troubles carrying it in my pocket, tool kit, and so forth. I'm not about to drop it in my beer, but it's very good to know it's also water resistant just in case. Wonderful for backing up user information, and typically enough room to shop your .mp3 collection along with the tools I use for work. Avoid utilizing it without the extension cable; it has some weight, and the connector will bend if it's bumped; it may well even commence to sag just over time from its personal weight. I don't see making use of much more storage than this outside of an external HDD, at least at this point. |

Like i said i ran it over (back and forth four or so instances) and it still worked with just some cosmetic scratches so concerns of ruggedness ought to be answered. as far as the USB its self it quite standard. wish they created it out of steel so that it wouldn't deform or scratch so effortless. the finish of the USB is kind of massive to it could not play nice with other USB sticks but it comes with a USB extender just in case. |

This rugged flash drive is a great cross amongst capacity, speed, and durability. Persons will undoubtedly take notice when you go to plug this factor into your machine. Looks like something out of a spy film. A bit clunky since of the aluminium housing, so might not fit well into thin laptops or tight-profile ports. The important-ring hole along the leading makes it challenging to attach to essential-rings. The integrated chain functions okay, but I would have preferred a ring or clip instead. A co-worker ran over his with a vehicle, and it was untouched. These issues are bulletproof! |

High Capacity. Sturdy. Slowest flash drive I have ever utilized. I wanted to use it for periodic backups of about 8GBs. Not doable at these speeds. Takes a total day of function to copy what I require. I'm using one more brand 16GB drive for the backup. Not indestructible but I can copy what I want a lot more rapidly. Manufacturer Response:You could merely have a negative or failing Survivor. Please allow us to replace it for you.External Link(s): CORSAIR RMA LINK| |

when i saw this drive i had to have it. My last 2 drives were broken though attached to my keychain. This wont occur yet again... i assume. Its not all that huge, i use it as the primary element of my crucial chain and it fits in my pockets just fine... i do agree its greater that most other drives out there proper now. i don't have any... so far i really feel that the transfer of files to and from the drive don't seem as slow as individuals make them out to be. if you ever get in to a bar fight the drive fits in the palm of your hand just proper preventing broken fingers. |

Looks great and solid. Doesn't do what it's supposed to do, which is function as a USB drive. I have now gotten 2 of these (first was replaced for the exact same issue) and the every single time the drive has turn into "read-only" on it's personal. There is no switch I could accidentally flip, and going by their web site I'm not the only one this has happened to. Really disappointed with this product, will not be shopping for Corsair in the future. |

I have been wanting to get a 16gb USB jump drive for a extended extended time and newegg had it for ื.99... Fantastic DEAL. This is replacing a 2gb drive that I have used for at least five years now. I have LOTS of space now. Enjoy IT!!! Following I got it I went back and read the Details once again and no where can I find the physical size in the description? This is a Major HONKIN Jump Drive. It measures three.25" lengthy and if you measure close to the center circumference it is two.75" and if you measure around the ends exactly where the rubber rings are it is three.". Of course this is the CASE measurements. As soon as you take away the actual drive from the protective steel case it is not substantially larger than my old jump drive but it was a SHOCK when I initially saw it out of the box. It also comes with a little USB cable that you can use in case this Large monster will not fit in a tight space exactly where your USB drives are at. Sticking out from my laptop it looks like I have a throttle on it... LOL |

Good packaging, didn't want a sharp tool to open it. *.*Yes anything.... no actually, everything! I can honestly say in my 13 years of IT engineering practical experience, this hands down is the worst usb/jump drive item I have ever utilised. The bottom line is that this unit is so slow, it fully invalidates the use of the storage space. On a number of different machines, all confirmed USB 2., and brand new quad core setups. NTFS, Exfat, NTFS. Transferring a 8-9 gig single image file, this factor took about 65 minutes. As a preceding reviewer posted, this device really should be marketed at USB 1. speeds. I have an old Lexar jump drive 1gb that is 80x and was purchased back in 2001, and it smokes this unit like a top fuel dragster, compared to a geo metro. Stay away from this item at all cost, thats the bottom line, and because Stone Cold mentioned so. Corsair, you really should be truly embarrased and ashamed of putting out such trash item like this. I ought to have known much better and followed my gut instincts when I saw the package, and the speed was not listed anywhere. I will never get a different Corsair item!
