It performs, it's rapidly, it's compatible with my hexa-core AMD CPU. Regardless of the reality that this is listed as RAM for Intel CPUs, Corsair's internet site lists this kit on its AMD compatibility list. Buy with confidence. Didn't get shipped a 16gb kit by error. ;) I wonder how several individuals are killing their memory sticks by not utilizing proper ESD handling techniques and then reporting them as DOA. An ESD wrist strap costs much less than the return shipping on most products, there is no valid reason not to use a single when handling personal computer elements. Memory is rated at much less than two volts, do you genuinely feel a 10kv+ static hit won't hurt it?

Its rapid RAM and it does its job. I touched it right after a when of usage and doing a couple of points, and they don't even run that hot... guess its the massive heatsinks. None. The heatsinks have smaller slim slits sticking out, so careful inserting these in.

This ram works great! I bought two of these deals to have 16gb's and I am blown away with the speed! Not genuinely a con but look in "Other thoughts" beneath. I've study complaints about people saying it will bring about BSOD mainly because the motherboard doesn't up the energy on them by default. My motherboard fired up operating these at only 1066mhz and at 1.50V's I just adjusted it to 1600mhz and 1.65V's and in no way had an concern!

Fantastic timing, strong core clock speed, simple to overclock, excellent price. None actually, the heatsinks on the top type of hurt your fingers if you push on them to get them set but that's not Actually a con. Hugely advocate it! Excellent deal.

Looks cool. A single of the memory modules was defective. No boot with three various motherboards. I couldn't even get a boot to run Memtest86. At initially I thought it may well be incompatibility but the other module was fantastic, booted on all of the 3 motherboards I tried. I tried pairing it with the "bad" module in any mixture of slots but no dice. I tried the other boards with yet another brand of 2x4GB memory and each one worked excellent. Certainly not a compatibility issue. The irony is thick on this one. The most expensive memory I've ever bought, for myself or a buyer, and it's defective. I opted for a replacement rather than a refund on this, hopefully I don't regret it! We'll see.....I truly like Corsair for their overclockability, I run 2x2GB 1600Ghz dominator in my own machine, CAS 7. Pulls up a 7.7 on the windows experience index. Extremely good stuff. But I haven't been impressed lately by the frequency of DOA's I've received from them, each from DDR2 and DDR3. I hate to say it but I'll most likely have to start off steering clear of Corsair except in circumstances of client requested custom builds (such as this 1). He particularly asked for Corsair Dominator. Then I had to call him up and tell him his memory is defective. Occasionally I consider Corsair is the Jaguar of RAM. Wonderful efficiency, poor reliability.

It was nice to see the 7.6 for this ram. The heat sync flanges brought on me to move it to the black slots due to the fact my heat sync is big. Does not fit beneath a Thermalright Silver Arrow High heat sync flanges the four is due to the hight, otherwise these are a 5. Reduce latency would have overridden the heat syncs

I installed the optional cooling fins (direct from Corsair as there were not on Newegg website) and the installed the memory. The memory is superb. I connected the memory to AirFlow Pro display. The display and memory perform like a charm.Memory was from NewEgg. Display and Corsair extended cooling fins were from Corsair as I could not come across them on New Egg's internet site.Package arrived ontime by way of UPS. A different Fine job from a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters! None. I overlooked the CAS and purchased a set with CAS 9 instead of CAS 8. My mistake. Maybe I should have waited for the CAS8 modules to arrive and then placed my order. My Gigabyte P55A-UD7 is working well with the memory. The Intel I5-750 is overclocked at three.15 GHz and is cooled by Corsair H50. Cores running among 31ºC and 38ºC. I removed CMD4GX3M2A1600C8 2gig kit. This memory did not have the five pin connector for the optional display.I use UPS as my initially shipping option since I a supporter of Organized Labor!

I've been developing my personal computers for a long time and a single of the ongoing difficulties is that I ultimately finish up filling all the RAM slots with low capacity RAM. I was delighted to locate these four gig chips, which will enable me to eventually expand my machine to 24GB or RAM.I bought the Corsair Dominator since that is what Maximum Computer magazine utilized in their 2010 Dream Machine, soon after they checked out a lot of other RAM. None that I've been capable to uncover so far. I've not attempted to overclock the RAM.

Heat sink looks great4gb sticks Didn't run at 1600 by default Ran okay, it was detected at 1300mhz so i bumped it up to 1600. My system kept crashing, I had to manually set the voltage.Barely fit with my Gemini II cpu cooler. If I want to upgrade my memory I would have to take the cooler off the cpu. Not Corsairs fault.

The design fits effectively in my situation and permits for greater air flow than my earlier memory sticks.Wonderful packaging as well! Really eco friendly considering that it doesn't want to waste a lot of components to pack it nicely.Performs with the ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme. Just make positive you input the proper BIOS settings and voltage. Do not believe what ASUS Techs tell you that memory is the concern with BSODs. It's most probably the Intel NIC driver or in my situation, the ATI Catalyst and Toshiba Bluetooth module/driver. Can't think of any... This works properly with ASUS P7P55 series mobo even even though it is not listed on their QVL. You get 8GB with only two sticks which nevertheless works as dual channel; where as three or 4 sticks will not due to Intel's limitations. None, other than when I purchased it a month ago, it expense 贘 more than now! Newegg was excellent even although 3 out of the 10 goods I bought had been DOA (none of them Corsair) they took fantastic care of me.

At first I believed I may possibly have created a mistake when I bought this for my rig given that I had individuals telling me this is Intel ram and it may not work with my AMD Phenom II X6 CPU. Properly I installed it and hoped for the ideal and so far it seems to be running flawless. Most memory Ive utilised so far is 40% and thats with 16 browsers, 1 movie, Crysis,Crysis warhead and Killing Floor all running simultaniously.Existing rigAntec Lanboy Air caseMSI 870A-G54 MoboMSI dual GTX 460 Twin Frozr II'sAMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GhzCorsair Dominator 8GB DDR3Seagate 1tb 7200 RPM LP 32mb cache HDDWindows 7 property premium

This is my second set of Dominator 1600. They've recently changed the fin colour from standard blue to black, and I'm still just as impressed with these DIMM's as I could be.It may seem silly, but the appearance of part is pivotal for me. If you are looking for a sleek and clean build, Corsair's black PCB and heatsinks certainly accent a build nicely. Aesthetics aside, I find these dual-channel DIMM's complement any AMD build out there wonderfully. Having enough headroom to play with 1600MHz gives lots of overclocking potential, considering a 1.65V ceiling as well. The pricing is a bit high for RAM of this level, but you pay for the quality of Corsair's products, backed by a great warranty too. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for flexible, great looking and performing RAM out there.

Cons: Heat sink size

Pros: Great speed and highly reliable
Comment:
Great RAM for the price and excellent if you are a causal or OC fanatic. Easy to install, but if you're like me and have a heat sink that can cover some of your RAM slots the heat sink can be a problem. But overall great product.
