This memory worked out great for adding 8GB to an AM3 mini-itx board. The flyer price made it an easy decision but the Corsair name sealed the deal. Highly recomended! |

I bought this kit to upgrade my Asus UL20FT-B1 notebook's ram. Asus claims it only supports 4GB max, but according to Intel the i3-380UM CPU supports 8GB. So I decided to jump in and see if it worked. This particular kit is extremely overkill for my needs as it's a 1600mhz kit, where my notebook is only DDR3-800Mhz. But this kit underclocks automatically (as do most ram modules), and with great results.According to CPU-Z my laptop is running at CL7-6-6-16 b 800mhz. So I'm a happy camper :)I'd definitely recommend this kit to others looking to upgrade ANY i3 or higher laptop. And for those who can actually make use of the full 1600Mhz speed, this is a great kit for your needs. |

Bought 2 kits to upgrade original memory in a Alienware M17x r3 but one kit was defective out of the box. RMA issued really fast by NCIX team but shipping cost to return it is almost half the price of the kit in special... Will update when I will receive replacement kit. UPDATE: Received the replacement kit and tested it without any error. The installation was a breeze and combined with i7 and ssd, i can confirm it is working perfectly with an Alienware M17x r3. No matter how many programs are open with an active game, i can't even notice any change in performance. For the price, this is a really good memory kit. It's a good memory chip, good build quality but it was not compatible with my hp laptop unfotunately
