Sounds good, really nice packaging. It will not run at advertised speed. EVGA X58 FTW3 motherboard can not load it working with xmp profile. Tech support is useless you attempt calling and they are only offered inside our working ours. The web tool for assist is nonsense. I have bought more than 1000 of corsair memory so far and I am starting to wonder why I chosed that company. In no way HAD MEMORY FROM THEM THAT RAN AT THEIR ADVERTISED SPEED. WHEN I Purchased 1333 IT WOULD ONLY RUN AT 1066 / WHEN I Bought 1600 IT WILL ONLY RUN AT 1333 / WHEN I Obtain 2000 IT WILL ONLY RUN AT 1866. I am feeling incredibly stupid.P.S. Corsair sales rep please do not reply with a useless hyperlink. Rather get a phone number with a person on the other side. You sale memory at 300 bucks a pop you can afford magic jack for 19.99 so you can answer a phone. :/

This 12 GB kit worked fine on XMP profile 򜯐 MHz ideal out of the box on Asus Rampage III.Populating only 3 of 6 Mother Board slots leaves plenty of area between sticks for very good air circulation.Boosted my Windows knowledge index to 7.8 The price tag is a tiny high. Wonderful price for 12gb IF it ran at 2000, which it does not! This is the 2nd time I have spent a premium for memory from Corsair that does not run at spec. My program repeatedly reboots when operating eveything stock and enabling the XMP profile. I can manually OC this memory to 1800s and get my technique to boot, but eventually the program fails prime95 and reboots. I am currently at 1.65v and loose instances of cas ten. Runs wonderful at 1033 CAS 7, but that's not what I purchased it for. I'm completed wasting my income and time with CORSAIR Manufacturer Response:We are very sorry you are possessing difficulties running your memory kit at it's rated specifications using the XMP profile. In most circumstances, a manual BIOS setting can overcome this. Please make contact with our Technical Support and we'll be pleased to assist you.External Link(s): Corsair Make contact with Page|

Operating stable at 1004 MHz @ 9-ten-9-27 according to both CPU-Z and SpeccySys specs:Win 7 ProASUS Rampage III MBi7 980-X CPU Takes expertise of how to tweak MB settings to get complete XMP speed (perhaps as effectively a excellent MB). Operating at speeds much less than XMP resulted in somewhat unstable programs from my expertise with it because I got it (did not bump up to XMP for the first month or so though nevertheless testing factors on the process). Instability complications seemed to be solved as soon as XMP was activated.

none, get a less costly kit that is 6 x2. gskill trident is what i had, and i kept it b/c it functions at 12gb 6 x 2gb sticks with 2000mhz and 4. mhz overclock.` only runs at 1600 or 1866, immediately after tireless tweaks, why bother? very surprised with corsair getting the ş brand of high prestige and compatibility, or as I had thought, in the past.G skill trident is cheaper and will actually run at the 2000mhz, even though their other series didnt run at 2000mhz for me either.

Great ram. In my opinion it's the best ram for it's price compared to other memory in it's performance range.

Cost, Availability, SpeedIt essentially runs stable at 7-7-7-20 at 1066, if you care to run it that slow. XMP: There is only 1 XMP profile, and it's clocked at 1862Mhz, not 2000Mhz. I discovered that odd - No biggie for me, but it could be for somebody that's not interested in taking a lot of time to find an overclock at 2000Mhz. I debated in between 6x2GB, and 2x 3x2GB Dominator 1600 RAM for awhile. In comparing costs I ran across this set which was rated for 2000 speeds, giving me a bit more headroom for overclocking. I can't tell you if there are any differences due to the fact I haven't employed the Dominator sets but. I can tell you that these handle 2000 speeds just fine, as I've overclocked my Sabertooth X58 board and i7 950 a lot of unique techniques with these on the board.12GB is overkill correct now, but I purchased this with the plan to future-proof this build. I haven't been able to push my usage beyond 3.5GB without beginning up a VM.

Cons: - Need the 1.65V to run

Pros: - Memory seems stable and fast
Comment:
I put a set of these in my system (Asus P6X58D-E Mb) and they worked quite well with default settings. I believe the BIOS needed to have 1.65V set for the MB to play nice with it. Currently getting 7.7 out of 7.9 in Win 7 Pro. I am curious on how the other reviewer got it to work on the 1.5V and which MB was used (As I might want to throw another set in my system down the road).

Comment:
Got 2 of these sets to have 24GB of ram in my desktop. I've lowered the clock to 1866 in my desktop and lowered the voltage to 1.5V p 9-9-9-25 timings. While experimenting with the ram to get the best performance without turning on the XMP, this set was not fussy at all in terms of having certain voltages and timings at certain frequencies. If anyone else I know needs this much ram in their computer, this is definitely the set I will be suggesting to them.
