Cons: Price

Pros: Cooler and quieter than stock P4 cooler
Comment:
This unit, when paired with AS5, brought my Prescott temperature down about 10 degrees on load. I originally replaced the stock cooler because it was extremely loud. This unit was quieter and cooler at the same time. I noticed that after around 4-6 months of use, my HSF would collect a lot of dust, which brings up the temperature. So you should be prepared to blow it out once in a while.

Cons: -Heavy

Pros: -Quiet-Good cooling
Comment:
Bought this for my Pentium M for better cooling than the stock Asus cooler. The cooler is not designed for Pentium Ms with CT479 so it was pain in the bum to install, I eventually give up and put this in a P4 which cools it off very nicely.

Cons: Very large, not compatible with all motherboards.

Pros: The fan is extremely quiet for it's size and is also very good at keeping the cpu cool. The adjustable speeds are a nice touch.
Comment:
Bought this fan/heatsink combo to replace my stock one which failed. I'm running this on my Intel P4 3.06 GHZ Hyper-threaded. My old combo kept my cpu at approximately 48c, this new one keeps it sitting at 32c. I am very happy with it and the only complaint I have is that it might not fit all motherboards due to it's large size if you have any tall motherboard components surrounding the cpu socket. Would buy this fan/heatsink again in a heartbeat! This review was modfied by poster @ 11-08-07 09:01 PM

Cons: -Heavy-Installation is a bit annoying.-Replacement fans not easy to find.

Pros: -Very silencious-Quite efficient-Adjustable speed
Comment:
Quite a nice heatsink, a bit heavy but compared to others it isn't that bad, the cooling really is efficient and the adjustable speed allows you to run it very silencious. The only negative point would be that the fan is a specific one, and I'm not sure if it's going to be easy to find a replacement for it, 5 years from now.

Cons: its heavy and the installation is a little hard

Pros: Its cool, and the speed is adjustable
Comment:
Well this giant copper heatsink is great. Versus the Intel Stock cooler, I got 10'c knocked off my over-all temperature. Thats a pretty good amount for air cooling. I also used the thermal grease that it came with. The big problem I have with it is installation. You have to screw in the bracket and its kinda difficult to do alone.. someone has to hold down the steal thing that holds down the heatsink, while you screw it in place.over all its pretty good

Cons: Heavy!!!

Pros: All copperQuietKeeps CPU extremely cool with proper ventilationLooks mean
Comment:
Great heatsink! The heatsink is really big so there is alot of surface area for air to take away the heat. With my P4 CPU overclocked from 2.4 to 3.0 the idle temp is a cold 30 - 33 degrees. At full load (Playing BF2, Doom3) it runs at 40 - 43 degrees. Wicked heatsink provided you have good airflow in your case. Oh ya, the heatsink is one peice of copper so you don't have resistance between 2 pieces put together.

Cons: none that I can think about, other than not enough for an heavily overclocked 165, but then again, you should know that.

Pros: quietall copperhuge dissipation areasmall footprintdoesnt need to remove the mobo to install!
Comment:
Cooler works great, no LEDs which was a nice touch for a silent, "I dont want to know you are here" PCs. Can't say much else, it is all good, but if you want better cooling, get the CNPS7700.

Cons: No instructions for motherboards with retention guides/backplates that are mandatory.

Pros: Great heat dispersionAn excellent size and weight (the 120mm will be difficult to mount on many motherboards and also require reinforcement)Versatile mounting package, makes it easy to mount on any socket
Comment:
I ended up having to mount this directly to the retention guide supplied by my motherboard. The backing and nipples provided in the zalman package would not work, and there was no way of knowing HOW to mount this, so I made due. It seems to have perfect contant and enough tension to be ok, so we will see soon enough. Temps are very low, but I have not overclocked my 3800X2 yet, I will update later.

Cons: Installation is somewhat painfull (MSI NForce 3)

Pros: Silent, Good performance, Great look, Quality components, Overclocking potential
Comment:
Fist, the bad. Installation was not easy since I had to remove the original backplate from the motherboard (MSI Neo2 platinum). You have to use a hairdryer to melt the glue that ties the backplate to the motherboard. Then, the good. I upgraded from the stock cooler and now my CPU runs much more cooler. But the gread thing is that my computer now runs much more silent. I have no problem recommending this product, but make sure that your motherboard is compatible (see http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/view.asp?idx=43&code=009).

Cons: Not as quiet as I wanted it to be

Pros: well built, cools well
Comment:
Very good for the price, but it could be quieter (even when turned down).. a slight buzzing quality to it..if budget works.. I'd recommend getting its bigger brother

Cons: Bigbit loud

Pros: Excellent CoolingLooks GReatEAsy To install
Comment:
ive been running this thing for quite a few months and have been very satisfied with this heatsink. its big but looks damn sweet, demands respect. it cools not only CPU because its so big. would rate higher if it was a bit quieter. but the size doesnt matter to me, but i can see for others it wouldnt work too well.

Cons: -I have cut myself on it more than once :(-impossible to clean off the part in between the fins when the copper erodes/tarnishes (w/e you wanna call it) and I'm not sure if that interferes w/ performance-not compatible w/ some boards/S775

Pros: -VERY QUIET-very solid mounting hardware for both S462 and S939/S754 so weight matters less-very easy install on both of the above configs-reasonable performance if you're not aiming for silence-looks cool painted UV green :)-included fan mate is very handy, even if you don't use it for the CPU fan
Comment:
I actually have the "A" revision of this heatsink, but I never wrote a review for it and this is pretty much the same thing. I've had this on 4 chips so far and it has done a very good job of cooling all of them, but more important than that, you can sleep in the same room with this heatsink on your CPU and if the rest of your components are also silent. Keeps my 4400+ idle at 40C at 2.42 GHz and turned waaay down so it's very quiet. This heatsink has served me well

Cons: Weight, doesnt cool as well as i hoped for my Prescott C0 (hottest stepping of this chip)

Pros: Silence, external fan controller
Comment:
So far i am very pleased with this HSF, compared to my old Vantec Aeroflow 1 (TMD) it is silent and that's exactly why i bought this Zalman. I should have bought the xp90 or xp120 as they cool significantly better than this, but they also cost more. I recommend this HSF to anyone not looking to overclock and want a dead silent HSF. I may just give this to my gf and buy myself the xp120 :)

Cons: not as good as the loud extreme cooling

Pros: Silence, shape, copper`
Comment:
even though this heatsink cannot cool my cpu as those loud deltas attacked to the SP-97s or the Xp-120s, this gives me peace and quiet. As well, it is very overclockable as it gives me an idle temp of 32 and load temp of 42 at stock settings. Overclocked 400mhz, i still have a load temp of 52. All in *C.

Cons: Hard to install (see summary)

Pros: EXCELLENT cooling, VERY quiet
Comment:
When I first got this HSF, I was impressed. Its all nice lookin with 66 copper fins, all with Zalman's logo over it just in case you forgot who made it. Pretty heavy. The prob is, I spent 2 friggen hours trying to remove the mobo backplate on my k8v-x motherboard. After that, installation was a breeze. I did not try the bundled thermal grease, I used arctic silver 5 instead. Idles at 26c v1600rpm with fanmate installed.

Cons: heavy, fanmate is internal and its wires too short, decent noise without fanmate

Pros: quiet, high surface area, awesome looking, no noise in silent mode, good installation instructions/materials, smooth bottom, runs off motherboard power
Comment:
I've been using this for almost 3 months now. Excellent heatsink, great for overclocking. I am using it with my 1.86 - 2.3 GHz overclocked athlon xp 2500+, runs 35 degrees idle and 40 degrees loaded. Looks awesome thru clear side panels, wish I bought the model with LEDs. Quite heavy compared to other heatsinks, wouldn't want to move comp around often if using a cpu without heatspreader.

If you are looking for a quiet cooler for your system, this is the best out there. The only problem I have with it is it does't fit all motherbooards so make sure you have a compatible motherboard befor you purchase.

Cons: - Heavy- a bit large

Pros: - Good cooling- Silent
Comment:
Very nice design and very silent fan. My Athlon 64 runs at 24C (idle) and 42C (load) while the fan spins at only 1360 rpm (you must use the included fan mate to reduce the fan speed). Almost noise-free at this speed. The heathsink is a bit heavy and large so make sure it fits your motherboard (there's also an included backplate to install it).
