Cons: Size

Pros: Price. Quality. Looks.
Comment:
This drive is great. Works well and has a great price. It is too big though. If you don't care about size and connectivity, this is fantastic. I wish I went for a slim drive now.

Cons: Not Slim!

Pros: 20x Write speeds InexpensiveLightscribe TechnologyDual Layer Compatible
Comment:
For $18 it's a great deal for people still burning DVD's! So far i've gone through 25 discs and haven't had a single coaster. It's a bit on the bulky side, it's bigger then an internal 5.25" DVD-RW. But it's faster than the slim writers that are only 8x.It's not USB powered, has external power.I can't comment on noise since most writers make noise when burning.Looks like it's been discontinued according the LG's website.

Cons: Warranty

Pros: DVDRWLightscribe
Comment:
I've bought this drive to use with older computers and netbooks, that do not have dvd drives, work as it should. There's really not much to say, it's a usb drive. The warranty is only one year for parts with no coverage for labor for Canada. Also doesn't cover "acts of God" apparently, which is extremely vague as it could be anything. "God" really doesn't have his/her/it's place on a warranty exclusion list like that.
