It does what it shouldWorks well with PS3, Wii U, PC with HDMI extender over Cat6I give it 4 stars just because of the HDMI output is on the side of this box. I dont understand why they did this, it's messing up clean cable management setup. |

This is surprisingly small, with a fair amount of inputs (3).It does not require an external power adapter, even though a power port is installed. An HDMI source provides enough power to activate it. I don't know if my Nikon 1 camera with its mini-HDMI port will, but my WD TV Live sure does.Its function is very simple - it's just a switch. The handy IR remote reflects this - it has 3 port buttons and 2 port up/port down buttons. My Logitech Harmony One was able to take over this remote largely without issue, though there's a lag.If you should ever lose the remote or if you don't want to keep it around, there's a small button on the switch which will switch ports.The audio and video going through this switch are not degraded at all, as expected.I'm very pleased with it and I'm even more pleased that I got this on sale. |

Giving it 4 stars only because I have nothing to compare it to.However, as stated in the "Pros" section, it does what it's supposed to at a reasonable price. And my Harmony remote can control it - IIRC, the Harmony database had an entry for it (i.e. it did not have to learn the codes).Would definitely recommend. |
I was looking for a cheap HDMI Switch for my TV in my room. My TV 19" TV only has one HDMI port. So I was always unplugging the set top box when wanting to use the Blu-ray player or Apple TV.This fixes the issue, and even has a remote for switching.Only cons to this device so far, is that I can't power it off so I got to sleep with this thing lights shining at me.It has a power port if needed but doesn't come with the plug, it has to be bought.And the out port for going to the TV is on the side instead of the back. Which makes it un-neat.
