Got this for $220MIR on sale. Great GPU. Plays all my games on highest settings with highest AA no problem. It runs quite and still one of the best cards out there especially for $220.

Cons: Older GenLongCreates a lot of Heat

Pros: Great performance, especially for Double Precision Math(Milkyway, Bitcoin)Clean Look
Comment:
Great card at a great Price. When I saw it on Sale I just couldn't help myself and despite not planning on it, decided to Retire my 4850. The upgrade was not without it's issues, as I quickly discovered my old Case(Thermaltake Xaser III Skull) with low RPM 80mm fans was incapable of removing the extra heat fast enough. Case was getting old though, so replacing it has been on my mind.

Cons: - Current mid-range cards are as good as this last gen high-end card.

Pros: - Still the best last gen graphics cards- Handles ultra high graphics on games pretty well
Comment:
Really good graphics card, even if it is a 'last gen' card. It is still one of the best in the market, especially at the sale price and MIR of $210.I honestly have no graphics card to compare it to since this is my first high-end card. My games looks awesome on this thing. Definitely recommend it at it's sale price.

Cons: -cannot change voltage on it-can't touch memory clock or else becomes unstable (the overclock i got for this card was 900/1200 on stock volts)

Pros: -cheapest HD 5870-excellent performance for lower power consumption-comes with an awesome Double lifetime warrenty (Make sure you register your card in the 30 days of purchase)-fairly quiet compared to reference cards
Comment:
It is a very good card for the price. I really can't complain too except that you can't change the voltage of the gpu and just overclocking the memory clock a bit makes it unstable (i oced to 900/1200. So a tip is to leave the memory clock untouched).

I bought the 5870 mainly for gaming. Replaced the 8800GTS and it is a huge framerate difference. It is worth it.

Cons: None at the moment

Pros: Very fast and quiet
Comment:
This card is an incredible gamer. Crysis, Battlefield Bad Company II, Starcraft II, no problem, highest settings with AA and AF, no problem! The Cooler too, WOW!! Its Cool, and its whisper quiet, in loading tests I cant get this thing past fifty without and thats without ramping up the fans. I am still experimenting with over-clocking, but I got an extra 10% out of it without any effort, or adverse effects. I think there is extra overhead beyond that, I am still experimenting.

Cons: ..I'm here to complain about being able to buy this as a "combo" only deal. WTH? When did Newegg start this rubbish? Enthusiasts come here to pick and choose parts, not buy package deals, especially ones in big combo packages including a PSU. Pathetic.

Pros: Card is excellent, great reviews online, great warranty support by XFX. EVGA is better for warranty, but they sell NVIDIA-based cards only, so it's XFX for best warranty with ATI-based cards.. But I'm not here to review it...
Comment:
Boo to "Combo Only Purchase"! And if you're reading this review after Newegg split the combo to sell this separately, then we complained and they listened. Until then.. BOO!

Pros: QuietDX11Double lifetime warranty.Low power draw and heat.

This is my second XFX 5870 though the first one was a reference model. It was just sent back for a noisy fan and I'll be getting another one of these in return as they no longer make the reference models. This card in crossfire nets me a nice FPS boost vs a single 5870. I've had no issues with either card in the performance department. Great cards!

Cons: A little noisy under full load

Pros: I can run any game on max settings with my 2 cards in Crossfire
Comment:
I just switched out from running a MSI N460GTX Cyclone, I am now running 2 of these in Crossfire, and am running anything i throw at it on ridiculous settings. Bad Company 2 1920x1080 X16 AF x8MSAA 80+FPS never dip below 50

Cons: No Physx

Pros: Fast! Good price
Comment:
This was a great upgrade from my 8600, it's really fast and games run well, but I think I should have gotten the nvidia card instead. Eyefinity would be great if I had 3 montitors, but Nvidia's technologies such as physx and cuda greatly increase immersion and have no match on ati. Few games or programs support opencl on ati cards.

Cons: Tight fit in an Antec 900 case, and still a bit steep in price with the release of nVidia's new cards.

Pros: Nice power house card, have card that can handle future DX11 games I plan to play.
Comment:
Happy with the card in that upgrading from a Radeon 4870 my overall 3DMark score increased by 2000 points roughly. Additionally, there was a slight score increase on the Windows 7 system rating, but overall rating is held down by the hard drive. Even though I got it at $70 off the regular price, I still feel that it was an expensive card to purchase even with the double life time warranty. The HDMI works awesome on this card connecting a 46" LCD HDTV.

Cons: Have to get the latest drivers to be able to successfully run the Heaven benchmark tool for DX11 test so it does not crash the Heaven tool.

Pros: Very powerful card, handles DX11 features and functions exceptionally well.
Comment:
Very good card, does not require an immense amount of power, but still uses 2 6-pin PCIe power connectors. Overall very satisfied with the overall features and performance of this card. One down side is the high cost of the and with the release of the nVidia 470 and 480 cards I was expecting to see a price drop  in this card. Not the case even though this is a very great card still.

You sometimes have to set the scaling on these cards well documented if you know how too Google. geez don't put down a card cause you are not tech savvy. if you just do what everyone on the green earth does and Google the fix would have took you 2 min of your time plus another 10 min googling for the set up. so go back to Nvidia i heard they just came out with dx 11. haha. and you have the nerve to use the grandaddy of video card names.

Bought this to replace my Hd4850 that I bought back in 2008. This coupled with a Phenom II X3 (3.2ghz) runs any game I have at 1680x1050 at Ultrahigh. Expensive due to the shortage, but looks like it will last me 2-3 years without any problems. Looking forward to buying 2 more 22

Me and a friend bought these to get the most out of BC2. A complete mistake. You think your getting the best out there with XFX and how much time they had to work on these. The screen no matter what monitor or resolution has a border around the edge. Native res 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 are completely jacked and the new beta drivers does nothing to fix. Bought a GTX470 and never looked back. FLAWLESS

I think I was like a lot of people, waiting for the 480's to come out and see how good they would be. They are about 10% faster than this card, but a little OC will help shorten that difference a little bit. I went with this card mainly because of the temp issue with the 480's. People say they aren't that bad, but I refuse to buy a card that can reach the boiling point of water. My room gets hot enough in the summer as it is. Went from a 275 to this and the performance gain is incredible. Maxes out most games at 1920 x 1200. BF BC2 dips when the action gets heavy but is mostly right around the 60's and 70's on my i7 920 rig. Multiplayer fares much better than campaign in this regard(usually always above 60). ATI seems to have improved their drivers substantially in a short timeframe as I had some issues with their 4000 series. Saved 80 bucks versus buying the 480 and I can honestly say I'm very glad I got this card over it. Temps are low, fan not too loud, DX11. Very satisfied!
