hec Black 7K09BBA30FNRX Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
Comment:
I'm utilizing this case with a MSI G31TM-P21 board, E2200 cpu, 4gb ram, Win7x64. So far so good. -fits in my home stereo entertainment center and doesn't appear like a PC-fit and finish is fairly great. There's a few problems, but overall its a solid case. -airflow and wire routing -no sharp edges to worry about except for the region behind the front bezel exactly where the clips are. -airflow is above typical for a case this size. -LED's on the front aren't annoyingly bright. -its really low-key; simple style that is appealing without getting flashy-has provision for cable lock, and case lock -included power supply only has 1 sata connector-no esata port in the front-you need to get appropriate-angle sata cables to properly clear your difficult drives. The predrilled holes for mounting the tough drives puts the rear of the drives too close to the power supply to use the regular sata cables. -you do not need to take away the power supply to install your three.5" drives. There are 2 clips on every single side behind the front bezel. Sit down and place the case on your lap with the front of it facing away from you. Now utilizing your index and middle fingers on every single hand, you need to have to press the clips inward and then forward. It might be less complicated to do 1 side at a time. -cable routing wasn't bad at all. I applied zipties for the power cables, chasis wiring, and front usb/sound wiring. The additional power cables, firewire, and sata cable had been tucked above my difficult drive. -as long as the power supply holds up, i would say this case is a wonderful value. -I didn't have any proper-angle Sata cables, so I ended up working with the typical ones which barely clear the power supply *IF* you do not mind leaving the screws off of your difficult drive. This enables you to keep the tough drive as far forward as it will go. Otherwise, get the suitable-angle cables, or drill new mounting holes.

Like other people have stated, the case is built incredibly nicely, the buttons on the front, and jacks and front components utilized are of very good top quality. The front plastic feels thick when taking it off to install the challenging drive. Power Supply blew up in my face. (RMA'd) If you acquire this case, you may possibly appear into finding an additional power supply for it rather of the cheap 1 that comes with it.

Create top quality was considerably greater than I expected. Really sturdy, no sharp edges, looks definitely sharp. None so far. I wasn't expecting a lot with this case. I wanted a smaller MicroATX case that I could use in the kitchen but didn't want to spend a fortune purchasing 1. This looks to have fit the bill incredibly well. If it works out as well as I feel it will I will likely acquire this case once more in the future for other builds.

-size -construct top quality-extremely quiet! there are two fans in the case (power supply and front case fan). Your third fan will be the CPU fan. With all that I seems to be extremely quiet.-unlike most individuals the energy supply appear to be performing properly. I believe some folks may have overloaded the energy supply with added drives and GPU. Mine is a straightforward build and it appears to work just fine. Just make confident you effectively connect all the wires. difficult to connect IDE drives mainly because it's blocked by the drive stands.hard to connect input wires for the power and reset buttons and lights wires.I had to connect the wiring to the motherboard partially and than location it in the case. For some reason non of the motherboard screws are tightening, but it's ok since it is held by the gold pin built in the middle of the case. after reading so numerous critiques I virtually didn't purchase this case, but I thought I need to give it a try. I appears like a great price for the case w/ energy supply for a budget create. the metal is quite powerful and will not bend as opposed to most of the cases.I took one star off due to the fact it was tough to connect some of the wiring. they could have cut out some of the drive stand to make the IDE and input wiring less difficult.

Solid case with excellent airflow. I wanted a case with a five.25" bay so I could get a non-slimline Blu Ray drive. Not a 1. In order to install a 3.five" tough drive, you'll far more than most likely have to eliminate the power supply. Just be conscious of that truth and you shouldn't have any concerns with this case. Also, there is only One SATA Power CONNECTOR. So if you require a lot more than 1 choose up an adapter! (luckily I had a spare lying around!)

mATX case couldn't be any smaller. Case fan is quiet, looks good in dwelling theater setup. Power button was installed in factory upside down and didn't work, but an uncomplicated fix. Power supply from an unknown manufacturer, but appears to function fine.

Compact, nice searching case Flawed power supply that fried after power surge. You're taking a risk with the energy supply. It may fry when voltage drops below 100 VAC.

Comment:
Nice outer design and aesethics. Cost. Quiet five.25" slot use entirely blocks use the IDE interface on most newer motherboards. Only 1 SATA power coupler. HDD led is too dim. Internal USB and Audio cables are crazy long. mounting a 3.5" HDD is incredibly massive hassle because of all the other cables and lines in the way. The front left corner of the case can turn into incredibly cramped. Ended up having to obtain further parts to mount a two.5"HDD rather to make this case useful. It is incredibly challenging to squeeze and otherwise manuever all the cables and lines in this case in such a way that does not restrict airflow or run up against the CPU and case fan blades. Overall, regardless of it's nice searching sturdy exterior and quiet nature, I do not like this case and can not recommend it.

Nice searching case, appears to be built nicely.Almost everything fits well. Depth givenྮ.5") in NOT accurate. The case is truly ㅇ.5" deep. Front panel LED sockets are junk(I had to glue the LEDs in to get them to stay. Only front and top vents(Could use side vents)
