Currently trying to increase the speed on these RAM. BIOS listed the speed at 1066MHz. Read a few reviews that it's possible to go up to 1600MHz using XMP profile. |

Successfully paired with a ASUS P6T board after upgrading its BIOS to the current 1306. The original 1004 bios would only detect 10gb unless set to 1066mhz. Works and stable at 1600mhz at rated spec and voltage by using the XMP profile. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-10-10 05:15 PM |

This is my first experience with Corsair, and so far, I'm very pleased. I'm not a RAM geek, so to me, RAM is RAM. However, this does seem to work really well. I've not had any segmentation faults, or any BSOD. I will say, this is some nice looking RAM. It looks and feels of very high quality. I held it and stared at it for a while before I installed it. I call it my candy bar RAM. :)) It looks very nice through the window of my case, like an integrated part of the mobo. I had to give it only a 4 for value because that's a nice chunk of change to pay. Thankfully, it was a lower price when I got mine but still high. |

These RAM sticks are the pinnacle of extreme! I have a music production studio and these babies are handling the load like a champ! I also play Steam games every now and then (sshh! don't tell) and lag is now... non-existent! BUY NOW!!!! |

I bought this RAM expecting to get CL8, since that is what is listed in the text of the description. However, it is actually CL9, so it did not overclock very well. It quickly became unstable at higher speeds. When run at 1600xCL9 it seems rock solid, but it isn't as described in the description. Note that the MFG part number ends in C9. |

I had to turn to on Extreme Memory Profiles to get the timings and speed rating. At default, I think it was rated at 1200.I had issues of adding memory later in the run (buy a pair then upgrade later). Must be due to that ram now must be "match pairs" and tested. Which is why I bought this 6 pack as it is tested with all 6 together and guaranteed to work. Now where is my 24GB pack :D. |
why is this ram supposedly rated at 1600mhz if no one here reviewing it is seeing 1600mhz when installed? Why are people saying they have to over clock it?
