Quality Control could have been better. When snaping the unit inside the case the IDE plug area was not completely lined up with the case. A little lifting with the fingers got the area line up better for the plug. No problem with connecting the IDE Cable. Everything did work but when connecting the ide cable the red line had to be away from the power cable! |

The copy I received will not read any diskette, made in any of 5 machines, past 50-60%. Diskettes written in the drive will not read in any other drive past 50-60%. The actuator screw is machined non-linear, and is not correctable; alignment is adjustable but linearity is not. Drive is also very noisy, with no vibration dampers on the covers. |

This drive will serve you well as a boot drive or a drive for loading this initial BIOS changes etc. Often described as obsolete but essential for some computers and MB's. They offer the perfect floppy drive for your needs. |

Compared to another drive I got, this drive is noticeably louder and slower. Least to say, it could be better. |

This unit works with no extra drivers. Great to have so that you can access all your old files which are still on floppy discs. |

It's easy hook up - Works Great. |
Works as advertised, I mean it's a floppy after all. Even though it was well packed mine arrived with the case cover being bent. It had obviously been packed by the manufacturer like that. That took two minutes to straighten out.
