This product worked great for my Acer. Did what I needed it to do

The drive will not allow my computer to start up when connected. It will not let it shut down if connected after it starts up. It will let me read CD's if I connect it after the computer starts but I have to disconnect it before I can shut the computrer down. Your service dpartment referred me to Omega. They tell me is is my computer. I'm stuck with a product I can't use.

Great (small) footprint; simply works well. I'ven had no problems at all and highly recommend this product.

The burner is light and easy to carry with my laptop and the product is a good buy, but in all honesty, I had a few problems. The biggest problem has been with nero though, and not the burner. The biggest problem is that when I finished my video and plugged in the burner, the computer could not find the hardware and that while troubleshooting showed that the burner was functioning properly, nero could not find it and the burner was not in the list of places to burn to. My inexperience made the product difficult to use, but after a while, I did learn that I needed to plug in the burner before I opened nero and the computer found the hardware that way. Another surprise is that it took a long time to burn a video. For a 25 minute video with audio, it took about 40 minutes for creating menus and transcoding streams. Only 7 minutes for the actual burn though. The quality of the burn was very good though. Lightscribe causing problems now, but I'm learning.

I have an Acer Netbook computer and needed an external DVD to use with it. This product fills the bill perfectly.

I brought this to use with my netbook and the ro DVD burning software package had too many products that I did not need the file was about 400MB on a regular computer not a big deal but on a netbook it will slow it down the drive works great and is durable

awesome product. I gave it a 3 on value because on my opinion it's kind of pricey but like i said, great for netbooks and for traveling as well

Having been using various IOMEGA products for many years. They have always performed well and the DVD is no exception.

This external drive is perfect for notebooks ..works great out the box, just plug and play. Iomega is well known for quality..purchsed a zip back in the day never had a problem. Their products are known for easy installation and operation. Nero software is adequate, but I use Roxio.. All in all an excellent product for the price.

I installed and used the slim hardrive and the nero software with no problems. The dirve has functioned extremely well and is very light and easy to take with my netbook on business trips. It is a very convenient way to add DVD capability to the small computer.

Good Product.Was easy to set up and use. Since it get its power from USB no need to carry an external power supply.

I bought this one because I had a Memorex that wouldn't work for me. I blamed the DVDs, but this one worked on the same ones. There were no drivers to download or install. I used my Nero 9 though Nero 8 came with it. Worked fine the one time I've used it, but I have had other Iomega drives that worked great.

So small,easy to carry around in my bag. Works great with both my desktop and my laptop. Really love the dual layer capability.
