I bought this drive to upgrade my macbook pro 13' removed the superdrive and added this drive in a bracket and it has proven its point. Truely awesome i use my macbook every day for around 14hrs and it is super reliable and super fast. |

Cons: Samsung software for cloning is very bad, took almost 1h 50 M for clone 275GB, and the drive did not start after, use acronis cloning software to do the job
Pros: Fast even on SataII, very large capacity 500GB, boot time 6sec hard drive 63sec, like I said only on sata II computer 3G and not 6GB transfers rate I will recommend this drive to all my friends and family. Comment:

Cons: Due to improving technology, prices of SSD are dropping rapidly. I remember buying this particular SSD for around 350, and now the price has dropped by 100.

If you're looking for an SSD to buy, I would recommend you look at the Samsung 840 EVO series - the performance isn't as great as the PRO series, but for day to day computing, it is marvelous. |

My computer (asus n56,3rd gen I7 chipset, 16gb corsair ddr3, 2gb nvidia video card) is primarily used for autocad civil 3d, and the occasional bit of F1 2014:) This ssd works as advertised. Only drawback is no adapter cable included. I bought a hd enclosure and, once the new drive was cloned, put my old hdd in there. Essentially getting a 750gb usb3 portable hdd for $20 = win for me!I am no computer tech, but the included software made swapping the drives absolutely painless. No program reinstalls or reactivations needed. Out with the old drive, in with the new, and everything worked as before, just waaaaaaay faster! NCIX service and prompt delivery were excellent as usual. Highly recommended! |

Cons: This version (model number ending with the letter BW) is a bare drive. No screws, mounting brackets or USB-SATA data transfer cable.OS migration requires USB to SATA cable (not supplied with bare version)

Fortunately I already had a USB-SATA adapter on hand.I downloaded Samsung's data transfer application and it copied my Windows 7 to the SSD (took about 5 hours for 250GB over USB 2.0). I pulled the battery out of my laptop, opened the back cover (thank-you youTube for your how-tos) and swapped the drive. Rebooted the laptop. Boot time was noticeably faster. My older laptop is just SATA and not SATAIII so throughput is not the maximum the drive can handle. But beat my old hard drive quite well. The application tunes the system for max SSD longevity or maximum performance. Plus it can load up some drivers. It disabled hibernation. All the tech reviews for this SSD are quite good. |

Bought this to replace my aging HDD in my desktop and what a big difference it made. It's not my first SSD but for the price its hard to beat. 500GB is enough for Windows and all my programs so everything loads up fast. Booting and loading anything takes a tenth of the time compared to my aging HDD allowing me to not worry about hibernating or shutting down my PC completely.
