This power supply is Really quiet -- so a lot that you'll require to take a flashlight to the fan to guarantee it is in fact spinning. Cabling is a mix of fixed wire and modular wire. For a basic create, the fixed wires are all that you will need, but contains addtional modular 6 & 8 pin PCI-ex power cables, as effectively as several sets of SATA and older four-pin D-connector power. This power supply is limited to fitting into three of Antec's cases. The P183, P192 and the 1200 -- if you don't have 1 of these cases, don't get this supply.Even though the four 12V power rails are distributed fairly well, unless you are running a single graphics board that requires two 6 or 8 pin connectors or two or a lot more graphics boards, the 4th rail will be unused. Provide ships with a heavy power cord, use it and be aware of the total existing draw of the devices you have plugged into the exact same power strip and/or UPS. At max output, the supply could draw more than 10Amps at the 110V outlet; keeping in mind that the common home outlet is rated for 15Amps.

The power supply is general fantastic. I do not have a lot experience with PS's tho. The point is large I have a Hurrican 2000 CSAZ-2000 Black SECC Japanese Steel ATX Complete Tower Computer system Situation which is large and the power provide doesn't fit. I just have it chillin in the bottom of my situation vertically. Plus its not completely modular and the cables that aren't modular are not totally applied so they just lay in the case. I have to return it and I just hope I can get anything together to return it.

Supplies power, more than I'll ever want.Fits the situation perfectly.Seems to run incredibly cool. Extremely huge. There is one unused 8-pin cable that isn't modular.Very large cable bundles as properly, barely fit my cable management side panel on. It has a 120 mm fan strapped to it.. quite huge.

Wonderful PSU output & functions for the price. Size is absolutely big and it will ONLY fit a handful of Antec circumstances. If you don't see your case listed, it WON'T FIT. I was rushing to get an order together for a different process & ordered this PSU, thinking it would fit, but it didn't. Newegg really should place in huge bold letters across the title that it only fits a handful of select cases, not that it's 'compatible'. I seriously didn't want to give it an egg rating, but one particular is required.

Great price for the quantity of energy, its modular connections are wonderful for cable management, its created by antec so its strong. ONLY works in antec instances. mine was DOA when received. At first glance, you wouldn't know that this is precise for ONLY specific ANTEC cases. I purchased on a whim to install in a Lian Li situation...nowhere in NEWEGG's heading does it state its ONLY for 1200 series cases and other Antec situation. Had i clicked for a description, i may possibly not have bought this. I did however hook it up to my ASUS P7P55D EVO motherboard to at least commence the load of my new built technique - it powered on for a split second and then died. Hooked up an 650 Trupower i had as a spare - method started up just fine. 1 Egg rating for semi-negative listing on neweggs portion, even so, 4 egg rating if you get this for your 1200 series case.

The CP-1000 is the absolute finest gaming PSU obtainable on the market. The CP form factor need to be choosing up steam with other case and power provide producers soon. Its the obvious evolution in power supply style. The bigger space and straight by means of airlow creates a massive PSU that is practically silent, and substantially cooler than the ATX spec can deliver. The ATX spec can no longer hold up under the huge demands of nowadays's high end multi graphics card gaming rigs. Get this and get an Antec twelve hundred to mount it in and you will have the finest, coolest, greatest obtainable PSU for your multi card gaming rig. That other case vendors are not placing in the knockout to accommodate this style. Come on guys, its clearly an improvement!

I don't have a single, but it sounds like a fantastic energy provide Not a normal size energy provide. Can only use it in the Antec 1200, DF-85, P183 and P193 -5 volts is no longer utilized in PCs and is not in the current Pc power provide regular. It was utilized in AT computer systems for the ISA bus.It was in the ATX and ATX12V versions so that the then new power supplies could be use in older computer systems. It was created optional in version 1.2, and was removed in version 1.three. It has not been in the typical considering that.

It came exactly as advertised. Okay, so I knew going in this was a major unit, designed for distinct instances, but I decided to try it anyway. I tried to fit it in my Corsair 700d case....this is a large case, but no way. I couldn't even mod the case to make it fit unless i cut a principal assistance. DO NOT get this unless you own the correct case! I had to RMA and pay a significant restocking fee.

-Modular, not that I uncover considerably benefit to this function-JUST sufficient power connectors for all peripherals in my Antec 1200 program-A few added inputs on the power block -Quite significant...nye oversized-Incredibly heavy-Exceptionally big cabling doesn't function so much for my Antec 1200 case (which is also really huge) Seriously, this thing is quite heavy and large, but what do you expect with a 1000w power provide. I anticipate a lot of other 1000w power supplies aren't far off.

Great PSU. Replaced a failing PSU in one more case of mine. 1000w can do what ever you want fairly a lot. 120mm cooling what additional could ask for Only works in two cases from antec and thats it. If you buy this it only fits in two cases each by antec. don\'t forget that.

-Extraordinary top quality-Semi-modualar cables-Incredibly quiet fan-Sufficient power and cables to power anything you throw at it. -Price Since Antec created it so huge, it is at present Ƙ-11-2010) only compatible with four of Antec's situations: Twelve Hundred P183 P193 DF-85 So only get a PSU from Antec's CP series if you have one of those four instances to put it in. The cables that are built into the PSU are items like motherboard, CPU, SATA, PCI-E and other people. All the modular cables are additional of what's already present. If you plugged them all in, you'd have 12 SATA, four PCI-E plus a bunch of Molex and a floppy and all the regulars. It does a excellent job and works in excellent machines.

Absolutely nothing. I received this item and had to quickly return it. I really should have read the reviews initially. I commonly read the critiques, but Antec was always a good vendor for my energy supplies. I had no notion that they made a Extremely particular power supply to only be housed in their own situations.I read and re-read the description of this power supply, and it is nonetheless misleading. This is a non-regular size power supply that will not fit in any case outside of the ones Antec lists.I am positive it is a fine energy supply, nonetheless, this item wants to be labeled or described additional elaborately so that people today do not make the very same mistake quite a few of us have. I don't very comprehend why Antec made this weird selection when it comes to selling their power supplies. Only acquire this if you have the right case!

Its got all the energy, cables are crazy lengthy. Fits the df-85 like a glove. Its heavy but doesn't that mean it has great top quality? I like the flow via design of the fan, its pulling air perfect from the bottom front 120 by way of it. Fan on it never ever kicks up as a result.

Looks like it could power a tiny city. I was conned into getting it simply because I also purchased an Antec case, and I am definitely glad I did. Runs cool and quiet. The modular wiring makes for a quite very good clean installation. I also like the concept of a bottom-mounted PS. Initially time I have carried out this and it is terrific. None

Okay reviews appear excellent. It looks excellent and I like realizing it is built for my type of case (Antec 1200) Really wouldn't know anything else. (Read Cons) As I placed an order at 8AM EST Thursday which is 5AM PT I did rush processing and next day delievry as my old psu took a dump i need 1 for my computer system to come back to life. Nicely it must have been here nowadays Friday, but no it nonetheless has not been shipped. A PSU that costs 170 but my total expenses was 230 to get it shipped to me quick failed. Additional 60 dollars for nothing.Egg you have never performed me wrong and often been proper on the income but you have just lost my trust in your odering process. I feel its time after this order to move on. Sucks but need to be performed to show you have earned a ticked off customer.

Cons: CPX

Pros: SilentCoolStable
Comment:
A stable power supply makes a stable computer system. I also own a CPX850. These CPX supplies are rock stable. Just be sure to buy an appropriate case.I have mine in P183 cases and they are quiet as church mice. This case/PSU combo delivers a balance of silence, cooling and stability that is unmatched at this price level. There may be supplies out there that perform as well or better electrically, but they lack the CPX's ability to remain as cool and quiet under similar load conditions. This is the best supply I have ever owned (and I have owned a few).It is unfortunate that the CPX form factor has not caught on.

Cons: None.

Pros: Lots of cabling options.Quiet.
Comment:
Combined with the Antec DF-85 case, they make a great system with lots of options for cabling. Cables are also long enough to make full use of the DF-85 cable management, resulting in a clean install.
