Cons: Glossy screen: while being part of the reason the picture quality is so sharp, will produce glare if you have a light source behind you. Height not adjustable, it just swivels and tilts.
Pros: Huge screen. Insane contrast ratio (60,000:1) makes colors rich and vivid- it's hard to find monitors which have anything *close* to 60,000:1. Very even backlight. 0 dead pixels, awesome considering the vast screen size. Glossy screen helps produce amazing contrast ratios and high color intensity. In-built speakers surprisingly good. Stylish piano black bezel. HDMI input. True 1080p resolution.... 1920 x 1080 means no downscaling- a *real* HD monitor! Standby mode light is an understated steady orange LED, not a flashing blue one which drives you crazy and forces you to manually turn it off! Very wide viewing angle. Basically most things you can think of- it does them very well! |

It's not for nothing this averages 4.5 stars on Amazon!It replaced my 19" Samsung 940BW, and comfortably beats it on size, contrast ratio, and brightness- and awesomeness. Going from matte to glossy is a nice change. The slightly dimpled surface of my previous matte screen degraded picture quality slightly for the sake of reducing glare- I prefer to have the best picture quality possible and deal with the glare myself. Hooray for glossy screens!!This is an awesome LCD all-round, with solid construction and great attention to detail. I thought not being able to adjust the height would be an issue, but it's not: the monitor is quite tall anyway, so I find the height works well, whether I'm sitting at the computer, or on my couch watching a movie.Great attention to detail: have you ever seen a screen where you can turn the power light LED off in the menu? Well this has that option- so you can put the black marker pen away.It's a huge screen with vivid colors and an extremely high resolution- as close to perfect as makes no difference!
