This drive was a great price when I bought it. Unfortunately I may have purchased a lemon. After using the drive for about 1 month my computer started to blue screen. I re-installed the OS, but on first reboot the PC wouldn't boot if the drive was in AHCI mode. I had to finish my reinstall of the OS in IDE mode. After my reinstall, the drive worked for another month or so. Then the computer blue screened one evening and restarted fine. The next morning the drive was not visible in the BIOS. Tried it on another PC and had the same result. At this point we'll have to see how good OCZ is with RMAs. It's unfortunate it didn't fail during the first month when it was covered by the NCIX Express RMA. :)My rating of the product is based on the time it was working properly. |

This was a build for my wife. I got it for 209.00 after mail in rebate I can not complane about that price when I see them selling for almost 300 now. |

Sata 2 interface,discontinued prodused.For more speed for laptop do not need. Write speed is faster than any hard drive. There were some problems with the TRIM and garbage collection, and there was a problem with sata interface. update d the firmware to version 3.55 now everything is fine! Very recommended use WINDOWS 7 (TRIM SUPPORT) and last service pack update !!! |

Had the 60g version of vertex plus for more than a year now. It is certainly not comparable to those fastest ssd in speed. But you want a budget ssd. It's just fine.
