This drive absolutely blows every little thing else away from startup to installs this issue is lightning quickly. I was in a position to rip and decode an complete blue ray in 26 min. none I was very careful before ordering checked and double checked for compatibility. Installed flawlessly no challenges whatsoever just installed the driver throughout windows set up and viola windows 7 64bit installed in significantly less than 20 min

Works. Good packaging. Reasonably rapidly. Quiet. Extremely difficult to set up windows on. Not as rapidly as I would have anticipated from 500 sustained study/write. To install windows, you have to download the driver from the OCZ web page, put that on a operating challenging drive or flash drive, and flash the driver whilst in the windows installation sequence. I did that, then had to select *new* on the partitions table, then Format, then install.....then restart and install once more soon after the installation didn't take.

Super-quickly. Incredibly trustworthy so far. Acronis TrueImage 2010 sees the drive and copies a bootable image to it no dilemma. I couldn't get Windows 7 x32 or x64 to to a new install directly to the RevoDrive. Luckily, Acronis TrueImage Property had no issue copying my current Windows 7 x64 set up from my old HDD to the RevoDrive. Asus P6T Deluxe V2, Bios ver. 1108 ྵ Sep 2010).

Can you say fast? Not as quick as this SSD is. Installation went smoothly and I INSTALLED Windows 7 from stratch to commence screen in TEN minutes. The pricing is awesome as properly. If you have a Raptor HDD and are looking for the subsequent upgrade, this is the drive for you. None The price tag point (GB per $) of this drive is just about appropriate for the overall performance. Some individuals might really feel that a 128 GB drive is too "small" for them in the realm of storage space. But if you are a gamer and don't will need a ton of storage capacity, this is the drive for you.

Its fast, Its silent, It has shiney blue leds in the back of the case, and comes with a totally free sticker? none so far This was easier than i believed, installed final evening on a new Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 and it recognized it automaticly. For windows boot youll require to get the drivers from the OCZ site ahead of the set up. I utilised an old 1gb usb drive i consider its around 40mb for the drivers. Instructions are short but sweet, about the sized of an index card. All in all pretty effortless. Did i mention the totally free sticker?

Was a painless set up; boots no problem from a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R in the bottom-most slot. Necessary drivers to install Windows 7, but was as straightforward as loading a driver from a USB crucial for the duration of setup. A entirely silent drive that maxes out the Windows Experience Index. Win. It's ridiculously high-priced - I doubt I'd have bought it except for the 贄 off deal Newegg had :).It's not a short card - be positive to think about your case and airflow layout.

I have been utilizing it for virtually four months as a main (C:) drive and under no circumstances had any troubles. I'm undertaking lots of graphics and video files processing and under no circumstances seasoned crashes or any other malfunction. The initially time I installed win7 on it, I produced an image with Acronis Accurate Image and employed it when, worked excellent!Installation of the card is not plug-n-play but is not that difficult either. Just go to their forum, devote a few minutes reading instructions and you will not have any troubles installing it.The card is extremely quickly! Win7 boots in just a couple of seconds!Card is modest enough to be out of the way of other hardware (hard drives, video cards). None so far. Value is a little high but quickly it will drop just like all new tech.

Fantastic performance, greater than most SSDs. 120 GB is plenty for windows and most of my steam games and other apps. Startup is insanely quick. Can't truly complain about price tag, is in a class of its own. Setup for this card is horrible. I had to unplug all my other drives (including usb) to get this card to cooperate with windows installer. Doesn't support linux, at ALL. HAsn't come close to the 500 mb/s mark yet (mine is about 250mb/s, nonetheless nothing to shake a stick at). Doesn't cook me breakfast The benefits do outweigh the risks, at least for me. Do your homework just before acquiring. The Revo V2's are out, almost certainly better than this.

1. The item's smaller stature, makes it an easy match into ATX, Micro-ATX, and even some MinitITX situations.2. The card is already configured in with a strip, so futzing about with the controller.3. The overall performance is literally incredible, sequential study speeds (ie, load a game) are incredibly rapid. Don't bother attempting to read loading text, you won't be searching at it that extended.four. The card performes equally effectively in most x16 or x4 PCIe slots. Reference OCZ's website.five. Almost certainly the greatest of all, is the excellent OCZ forums. Where employees on a regular basis contribute, combined with their excellent FAQs, make it an unparalleled resource for SSD information. None thus far, it truly is that excellent of a solution. It's like the first time you you got broadband, played with a DVR, or your very first smart phone, then asked your self:"How did I ever live without one of these just before?"If working with Windows 7, no want for drive alignment, or configuring TRIM. It's all accomplished automagically.

Tough drive acces is the major bottleneck in right now's computer systems and there's no much better way to upgrade the functionality on a computer system system. I just ordered a second a single of these 120GB Revo's to upgrade my work personal computer. The 1st went in my household machine, and the value has dropped to 跋 considering that my initial purchase. Expense, although the prices are coming down! Needs a clean set up from scratch (if you're smart.) Requires a bit far more technical experience than installing a basic spinning drive. You have to use an "F6 disk driver" in the course of installation so Windows can see the Revo. Just adhere to the directions and you'll be fine. When you see how instantaneously responsive Windows is, you'll realize how substantially the tough drive sub-technique slows down most Windows computer. Use this as your boot drive and install a large ƑTB) drive as your second. Then, tweak Windows to place your Customers folder on the D: Drive. These PCIe "RAID'ed" SSD drives are even quicker than the regular SSD's everyone raves about. Awesome technology!

Quickly speeds, effortless set up, great match up for the Asus Maximus IV Intense mobo. I had mine set up with windows 7 and a few applications for about a handful of hours, it started sparking then I got the blue screen of death, on additional inspection it fried the 358 block on the best of the card so now its a 300 dollar paper weight. I would get the drive once again, I consider it might have been just a bad a single or a fluke. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the extremely uncommon challenge. This is my third post. I finally achieved a steady platform following I RMA'd the ASUS board and purchased the GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5!! The drive has been operating for hours performing all varieties of tests. My WEI for the drive is 7.9!! and 7.five overall. (will attempt some OC to raise this a small. : >) It would be good if there was additional assistance from the MoBo folks for this solution. This point is wonderful. I'm pleased I sent the ASUS Mobo back and not canned the drive.

Put this in an ASRock P67 Extreme4 mobo with 3 PCIe slots. I place it in a x4 slot (PCI slot 5). The bios doesn't look to see it in the boot order menus; nonetheless, after I installed windows on it, it boots. Odd, but not a difficulty. This issue seems to load files virtually instantaneously. It takes 40 seconds to cold boot, but most of that time is spent on the bios, the POST, and so forth. Loading Rift, and going amongst regions is very quick. Other file operations are very rapid. I haven't carried out any benchmarks, but the all round user expertise is that I/O is extremely speedy. Be certain to place the drivers on a thumb drive just before you try to set up an OS on it. None other than value (which is coming down). Did really a bit of reading and the garbage collection ought to preserve writes from slowing down in the future. TRIM shouldn't be needed.

Straightforward setup and RAID utility. Ran tests with Everest following installing Win7 x64 Ultimate and the study speed was a continuous 465mb/s and .06 ms latency. Good card so far no complaints. Turned my windows score on my HDD from a 5. to 7.9.Plays games amazingly! No much more long waiting loading screens it's virtually instantaneous when loading zones or maps and so forth.Compared to my SATA II 7200 RPM RAID I had just before the speed is just an insane distinction.3 Year warranty is excellent. Not genuinely a con but nowhere did it state in the description it comes pre-raid so its genuinely 2X55gb. I like a RAID for functionality with games anyway but it must have stated this details somewhere apart from the inner sleeve when you open the box. Make sure you download the drivers and burn them to a disk or place them on a flash drive from OCZ ahead of you install the OS. Win 7 will not come across the device until you do so, Win 7 does detect it is an SSD when installing and will not place the method reserved space 鲤mb) on this drive. If you can, make certain you have yet another drive in your machine for storage and this reserved space for windows.AlsoMake certain you turn off some attributes in Win7 that are bad for your SSD. (superfetch, defrag, and so forth.) just google optimize SSD win7. Windows update will also download an update for Win7 for your SSD.

Extremely quick. Far quicker than I had ever imagined it would be. It was also easier to set up than I ever anticipated it would be. Windows 7 functions fine and boots in about six seconds. Photoshop loads in beneath a second. Game loading screens seldom final longer than two seconds.Obtaining this card is very easily the best decision I produced when building my laptop. Almost everything takes place virtually quickly, since the disk is the bottleneck in so numerous operations on a personal computer. Fallout: New Vegas loads as well rapid for me to be capable to study the tips it offers about the game. That's the worst I can come up with. You'll will need to pull the drivers off of OCZ's web site and place them on some thing like a flash drive so that Windows will recognize the drive. You'll also have to turn off Windows' automatic indexing and maintain from defragging the SSD.Motherboard is a ASUS P6X58D Premium and I use the RevoDrive as my boot disk. It works great.

Quickly, silent, quickly, solid-state, fast -- did I mention it's actually quick? Not the OCZ's problem, but BIOS-world is still trying to handle these devices. The updated AMI BIOS on my Asus P6X58D-E does not see the two "drives" as bootable devices, once you disable the RAID array. Not a difficulty for me, and I'm certain the BIOS designers will catch up. Linux sees the two 56GB "drives" -- it's no problem to install the OS on one of them, but given that my BIOS doesn't see them as bootable devices, I had to use a traditional hard drive for /boot. Ext4 makes a great filesystem, when you turn down the journaling rate with commit or one thing like that, and set some intelligent vm selections in /etc/sysctl. Also mount the /var logs in tmpfs (there's a small further work if you need to save them). I see a drive light blink just about every five minutes, otherwise it's spooky quiet and sooooooooo quick.

Super Fast! when it performs... Will not boot as the only drive. Windows 7 HA09 Motherboard, X4 955 AMD Phenom II, 8 gigs RAM. I attempted it with XP 32, Vista 32, 64, Win 7 32, 64 and it was unstable inside 15 min and crashed... Newegg only provides manufacturers warrenty and the manufacturer will not give your $$$ back so the card is on RMA for now. I hope it is a fluke! I genuinely want what OCZ says it will do. Was rapid - didn't truly notice a major distinction from my run of the mill Kingston 60gb ssd. But is quickly just like any other SSD.I had this set as my boot drive and stored my games on this same drive. It crashed after 1 month leaving me no way of obtaining a refund rather a replacement. When I attempted reinstalling right after the crash it wouldn't recognize the ssd so I'd set up the drivers then couldn't install windows on it simply because it wasn't the major boot drive. So I created it the major boot drive and when I get to the windows 7 install hd selection screen the ssd is not there Once again! I would wait till they great this just before spending 跌 on a PCI SSD. Just stick to the standard SSD's, they are rapid enough. With that getting mentioned, anybody want to get a SSD? I'll have it in a week or so. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Your replacement drive will operate out fine for you. Quickly. Quickly. Rapidly. Fast. Extremely smaller, practically no footprint beyond the PCI-e slot. Can adjust RAID setup.Installation was a breeze. Just before any hardware fiddling, burn the raid controller driver to a CD or place it on a flashdrive.Use only one particular GPU and unplug all other HDDs for the installation.Commence up (w/o cd or flash drive inserted)Click "Install Driver" for the duration of the choose drive portion of windows installation with the CD/Flash Drive inserted.Choose the folder the driver is in with browse.Set up and it shows up and works fine. Can't be this rapidly through a single SATA drive. A small pricey, but you will notice the alter. Remember to improve your cache a small bit and browsing will fly like by no means ahead of.Game load instances are so considerably decreased I cannot envision how I was patient adequate for them just before.
