This drive is the very best 1 I've discovered in a year immediately after attempting two other individuals. The key feature I like is the cap. You can simply put a small crucial ring on it and then attach it to your keys. Also the transfer speed is quite good at 5MB/s or so which is twice my other drives. Despite the fact that a sandisk drive I tested was posting at 9MB/s. The quicker transfer is considerably desirable on larger thumb drives. Fits securely in the usb port. Works cross platform Win2k, Vista 64 and Xbox 360. Feels a little flimsy. See how extended it lasts. And does any USB device get the complete 60MB/s????!!??

Cost…. Cost-free shipping. Which is negated by poor write performance. Incredibly slow write speed.Poor consumer assistance. Contacted PNY about issue, with no response. As a longtime user of the PNY Mini Attaché, I have been pleased with the price as well as efficiency. I at present have two 2GB units which have performed flawlessly. Nevertheless I lately purchased this 4GB model, only to be very disappointed. The create speed of this unit is unexpectedly unacceptable. Immediately after trying this drive in 4 different PCs (with the same results) I ran a read create bench mark utility on the 3 drives and regularly the create speed of the 4GB drive was twice as slow as the 2GB drives. This is very disappointing! I now have a drive that is twice the size and twice as slow as the 2GB Models. This now tends to make me incredibly leery to obtain any PNY flash goods bigger than 2GB. Due to cost of Drive vs. return shipping price I can’t even return this unit.

Inexpensive and appealing design. Affordable create and study speeds. Case doesn't stand up well. I keep this in a pocket with my Leatherman Micra and one more thumb drive and it's torn up and virtually falling apart.

I utilized a single of these to replace my old 256MB Sandisk which went missing. Incredibly low-cost and trustworthy. Its a bit flimsy for me and the USB connector is slightly bent upward. Could be a small faster but you get what you spend for. Incredibly good starter flash drive for those who aren't also familiar with them.

I accidentally dropped this flash drive outside in September of 2010. I identified it 5 months later, when the snow began to melt in February 2011, and plugged it in soon after creating positive it was dry and it still worked just fine and had all of my data on it. The situation was shattered when I located it.

This drive is insanely tough to kill. I've had a cat swat at it though in a Computer and rip the casing off and it survived with no data loss. Immediately after putting the casing back on, I forgot it in my pocket and washed it...and it survived with no information loss. Most impressive, it remained in my pocket and went into the dryer....and it nonetheless worked with no information loss. Surviving a washer is great, surviving the static from a dryer is just crazy. None. Why are folks complaining about write speeds? Do you actually require quickly read/write speeds from a thumb drive? Dependability is important. Learn to have patience. Moreover, these are old as dirt. My 2 gig is nevertheless going powerful right after about 7 years.

Inexpensive, low-cost thumb drive. I adore how compact it is and the cost-effective design. I use it constantly and carry it with me everywhere. The low price makes me be concerned much less about losing it. Following barely a year, the case just fell apart as I removed it from my laptop. I was holding the case in my hand and the guts of it were still in the USB port. :( Slowish write occasions, but given the cost I don't thoughts too a lot. The reality the case just fell apart on me has me the most bummed.

This factor is fairly amazing, its not exactly something you would want to obtain to hold super huge files like games, this factor is fairly amazing for its price when it comes to holding folders and text files, 12 dollars for a mobile 4 gig Notebook? now that's an amazing cost, i use it for storing my poetry (of course i have 2 and written etc paranoid lol.) 4 gigs is like all the paper in the globe i mean come on its an amazing deal! easy to put on a important chain to to drag about. was a truly great deal! Slow reading and writing rate, its not like your going to be playing games off this thing, besides if you want a very superior read and write rate your looking in the wrong place, a mobile(portable) challenging-drive is the best bet for you as they have wonderful read and write rates along with capacity! Has a pretty light included on it and some subscription to National geographic included. LOL <.<

This 1, I got as an early Christmas present these days and decided to test it out (see cons)PNY as a brand has been generating these for years. These have a new swivel style. Now, onto what you don't know. Now, onto the false advertising."Ultra-compact" - Hardly ULTRA. Its pretty little, but not ultra. I've observed flash drives that are the size of a thumbnail. Those would qualify as ultra."High performance" 1 man's high performance is yet another man's excrement. Seriously, we all hate how these issues tell size and even "help" us translate what 4GB indicates (HOLDS 1,000 SONGS!)...but then they go and tell us nothing as to its speed. So, I'm here to support you out. I benchmarked it a couple of times and came up with an typical speed just for you.It reads averaging in between 15-20 MB/s...not terrible, but not remarkable either. It writes, nonetheless between 1-two MB/s! ick! That's a little low for me. Thankfully this wont be employed for anything that will want a ton of speed. The typical access time is specifically 1ms each and every time I do it. which is low enough to make even me pleased. comes formatted as a master boot record FAT32 and is totally empty. I figure because the maximum 1 file can be in FAT32 is 4GB then this caps it out. Most drives above this size may well come formatted NTFS ([Windows] NT File Method) given that it can have a file above 4GB. Let's be honest though, unless you're ripping your favourite movies at full quality, you don't need to have a single file to exceed 4GB.Great brand, good excellent drive. swivel design. decent read times, no junk software program.bad write times. If you need a fast flash drive, this is not for you. Moving files at 1mb/s to fill the drive would take you roughly an hour to fill it. If time is no concern to your writing abilities, then go for it. Either way, its a decent drive, just don't anticipate miracles out of its speed.

Pros: Capless, fairly fast read/write speeds.

Definitely worth a purchase if you're looking for a plain USB stick. It's speedier than other USB sticks I have.

Not much you can say about a flash drive. It either works or it doesn't. This drive works, and it works a little faster than most. Buy one for yourself and another for the people who borrow your drives.

Worked grat for a couple of months - then the case split. I had to get some crazy glue to hold the thing together. It would cost me more in headaches and postage sending it back. still works, but has glue on both seams to hold it together. Love the concept of no caps, but flimsy design. Keep looking for a different drive. Sooner or later yours too will fall apart... this is not my first one either. 2nd drive to do this.

Was a great flash drive for 3 months. Then crack, casing broke. I do not even use much or carry it around. Loved the design, HATE THE QUALITY. PNY website and tech help sucks!!! Cannot speak with anyone on phone. Have to fill out a RMA request form, wait for 3 days or longer, just to tell them it broke. No ''contact us'' information anywhere. I will never buy another PNY product.

I own a 1 and 2 gb PNY Mini Attache flash drive. I just had to have the next bigger! It works great, it has no caps to lose, and the USB connector is protected by it own swivel cover. You can't beat this drive for the price!

The first thing I did with this was to take 3.5gb of pictures to one of my kids, she liked it so well that she talked me out of it. so now I only have the one left. I think it is one of the best probucts to come along in years.
