My cpu idles at a frosty 25 C, hell even with games running I've yet to see it go more than 35 C.Under load it is miles reduce than with the stock cooler. And you can't hear it more than my 4850x2 so... I guess its pretty quiet. IT IS Enormous!!!!!! (Not genuinely a con... as.. properly.. whatever.. >_>) The installation was mainly painless...It blocks fairly substantially each and every connector on the upper appropriate corner of my motherboard.I had to push the 8 pin for my CPU in with a stick...But all that aside, I appreciate this cooler.Just don't be dumb like me and plug stuff in prior to you screw your mobo into the case...As of posting this... my CPU is at 27 C.If you have heat troubles GET THIS Issue! They will go away suitable quickly when you pop this undesirable boy in.

Pros: Small Tower Cooler92mm Push/Pull Fans
Comment:
I bought this cooler to replace a Coolermaster GeminS524 Top Down Cooler in an HTPC NMedia 2000b case. The Gemin S524 could not keep my OC'd Phenom II 965 below 62 degrees c 4.03Ghz(1.4125v).I removed both 92mm fans that came with this cooler and replaced them with Coolermaster Blademaster 92mm PWM fans. I priced matched the fans down to $5.x each. This N520 cooler can actually keep my Phenom around 57-58 degrees under full load which is 5 degrees cooler then the Gemin S524. The fans do spin up to ~2800rpm's 100% to obtain this temperatures. At idle I am seeing a steady 43 degrees with both fans c 45% (~1800rpm) which is what the stock fans spin at that come with this kit. I would say that this cooler is at it's limits with a 125watt tdp cpu.

Cheap. Nice strong headsink. Its Large. Get prepared to get rid of side fans or get out the dremel.Kind of tricky to set up.There is no airflow diagram to show which way air flows by means of the heatsink. Despite the fact that prevalent sense told me, by searching at the fans, and the truth that the "Cooler Master" stamp would be upside down, I installed the heatsink exactly as it was shown in the "diagram" (if you want to get in touch with it that) and the picture on the box.The diagram and box are incorrect. Immediately after discovering that air flow was reversed, rather than get rid of the heatsink, I removed the fans and switched them.

Beneath me is a Ryan who thinks this requires two folks to install it cracks me up two far more hands would be in my way. then I read a stevo who says his air is becoming pushed in the wrong direct and thinks it is built incorrect. Hey Stevo why don't you spin it 180 degrees rather than blaming something incorrect with it? It will go either way absolutely nothing different about it obtaining to turn it about. It actually goes the right way so that you visually see the great side of it rather than they back side of it when it is pushing air out of the case. Men and women right here crack me up pondering points are to blame on the hardware when they don't know how to do one thing or can not get some thing to work because they lack information. I'm employing it on a 965BE OC'd to three.6GHz, which isn't a lot, but it's sufficient for me for now. When I want additional power later on, I'm sure it will be simply overclockable to three.8-four. GHz, and this cooler will be good nonetheless. With C&Q turned off it idles at 33c, and max is 44c at complete load with Prime95. First one particular came defective (It was missing threading on a leg), but Newegg's buyer service a lot more than created up for it, and the second one is ideal. I would definitely purchase a single again, and would advise it as well.Because it's also smaller than most heatsinks, I'm confident it would match in most smaller sized instances as well.

Wonderful value, match perfectly inside my case, keeps CPU at area temp when its not under anxiety. Keeps in the in the mid 40's when beneath strain.OC'd my CPU from two.four - three GHz and it nonetheless kept it below 55C w/ max anxietyIncredible job for the cost. It didn't bother me also substantially but don't get this considering you can slap it on your in CPU in a couple minutes - install is quite tedious but that can be mentioned for most bigger coolers Just some install guidance - take the mobo out for easiest installation, if someone can lead you a assisting hand get it. Install is fine by oneself but it would go less complicated with a person else.

Does an adequate cooling job for the cost. Lowered CPU temp 5C from stock fan/heatsink (AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE). Hope it will drop a handful of additional degrees after the Arctic Silver five has broken in. Loud. Quieter than my stock fan/heatsink (nicknamed "The Banshee), but if that's 19 dB, it ought to be measured at about 5 meters. Other fans (that also claim 19 dB) are drowned out by the vibrating hum of the 92mm fans. Want I had gotten the bigger 120mm push/pull, at least then I could very easily replace the crizappy loud fans with actual silent ones. Perversely, they're Coolermaster, also. Wasn't also hard to install, but not the most enjoyable experience in a mid-tower... Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Telling from your description, it sounds to us the fans are operating at complete speed. Please check with your motherboard manufacturer to discover out how to get them to run at a steady medium speed. The great factor about this cooler is that even under full tension from intelburn my 965 BE at 3.4 only reached 50 C. the sound of the fans compared to the stock one from AMD is like night and day. Sort of a pita to set up for an AM3 but offered a tiny bit of time it genuinely isn't to hard to do. Also the directions do not show how to place on thermal paste. So you may want google how if you don't know how. Seeing how it is the most essential aspect. Large =)

The cooler does what it's supposed to. The fans move a TON of air and I haven't identified them to be that loud at all. The install was a bit confusing. Given that the cooler is 99% symmetrical, it was difficult to inform which way it went. The instructions had the slotted portion of the front facing downward, so that's how I place it on (label was upside down). It turns out that this is backwards and blows air towards the front. Rather than taking it out and reapplying Arctic Silver, I just unscrewed the fans and flipped the over. Fairly easy and now it runs like a dream. Men and women require to quit complaining about the size of this point. The dimensions are listed when you obtain it, and it's honestly not that massive.

This N520 is a incredibly nice cooler for 35 bucks. Push/Pull with dual 92cm fans all connected to one 3-pin connection. All round item is very strong with copper base and the installation hardware was a breeze. Keeps my i7 950 quad core correct 30c - 32c ( Idle ) at @ 3.five more than-clock on my Asus p6X58D Premiun Mobo. Also an additional thing is that its only 141mm tall and my main studio computer system sits in a 3U server rack mount so i fit perfectly. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT Underestimate this CPU Cooler People. For 35 Dollars it out performs my Spire Thermax Eclipse II cooler which I'm going to have lapped in a few days for my gaming rig. Don't hesitate if your looking for a good more than-clock or straightforward greater than stock heat-sink cooling. Trust Me I Have 3...... Did I Mention Quiet too, Yes my Server chassis has extra sound dampening applied to the inside but i only hear my Intake Fan......Vaguely I only docked a single egg due to the fact cooler master need to have manufactured a 4-pin connection instead of 3 but i bet they have their reasons for this........ I Know alot of people complain about temps, installation, and so forth... If you know what you want to do regardless of whether its over-clocking, modding, whatever... Do your homework and whats correct for your P.C. Create. If you have to take away your mobo then take away it, use greater cable management. There are alot of components involved when attempting to keep temps low and cool. Peace

great CPU cooler for the dollars. even though i will agree there are naturally better air coolers readily available, they are Much greater in cost per the smaller efficiency advantage you would get. whilst there are some here that appear not to have gotten extremely excellent outcomes from this cooler, i will have to disagree, my temps with CPU overclocked is 32C idle & 45C below load. sadly like other reviewers of this cooler, i will have to agree that it isnt the easiest to mount & directions are for the most part useless. Keeps my CPU incredibly cool (with the enable of my fan set up) I would say its about at excellent as the V8 Cooler Master. It has smooth copper on the bottom to make excellent connection to disipate heat. Could have integrated Arctic Silver rather of thier brand compund. I utilized arctic silver as an alternative of thier brand compound. i have applied it on several systems and in no way had a cooling dilemma. Also for extra facts i am running a Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition 3.5GHz.

Operates with LGA 1155. Keeps my i5-2500 idle at 41C / 105F. Large cooler, barely fits in my micro ATX develop and nearly obscures the SATA connectors for CD drives. The airflow is in the incorrect path!!! This cooler is anti-ATX as it is presently pushing air from the back to the front of my situation. This defeats the purpose of getting a fan in the front of the case to draw air in. If you can, install it backwards from the directions and just reach the power cable the extended way about. Also, it's ideal to have a 2nd person support you with this set up. It's challenging to screw on all the bolts from the bottom utilizing the screwdriver attachment included in the box.

For the low cost of this cpu cooler/heatsink, it certain does cool the phenom ll x6 1100T @ 3.7 with the turbo function. It is not to out of handle big.Match best on to my msi 890fxa mobo, did not cover any of the ram slots, and fit inside my mid size situation(not by considerably but hey it fits)Nice push pull feature with the fans. when mounting heatsink to mounting bracket 1 out of the four screws would not go in all the way.It was either the screws threads that were messed up,or the threads in the screw hole.So as it seemed extremely secure with 3 screws holding it..i went with only three screws...not at all joyful about it,but you get what you spend for. They ought to send a couple extra screws, even though i really consider it was the threads inside the bracket. For the value it does its job fantastic. Cools my i5-2500k @ four.4Ghz with ease, temps droped 15c under load compared to the stock intel cooler! Cooler looks to be quality build, great solid copper base, two fans for push/pull produce incredibly good airflow. Uncomplicated installation except the con bellow.. Manual showed the airflow going the opposite way, so I installed it as the manual showed and hot air was moving away from the rear exhaust fan of the case! I had to eliminate the MB from the case and do it all over once more. Temps dropped 5C when the airflow was corrected! Intel Cooler was so bad that i had to acquire an aftermarket cooler, temps would hit 74-75C soon after just a couple of mins of Prime95 at stock frequency Ɠ.3Ghz) with this cooler my chip is humming in the 65-67C, touches a high of 69C for a fraction of a sec. following hours of Prime95 @ four.4Ghz. After hours of gaming Core Temp registered an absolute high of 60C. Leaves me a lot of space for additional OCing in the future.

Five heatpipes. Dual fans with excellent bearing excellent/balance. Mounting hardware makes it possible for you to either blow to top rated or blow to rear of a tower setup. If you were ever worried your fan was assisting in bending your cpu socket downward, and warping your motherboard additional than it ought to, orienting blowing toward the rear might give you a bit more peace of mind. Seems to cool pretty much as properly as its legendary ฮ Brethren. Beautifully polished copper on the make contact with plate. Not seriously a con, but to control fan speed a single would require a voltage-based, not PWM (standard 4 pin control) based cpu fan handle setting in the bios; an alternative some nicer boards provide. It is a three pin connector with both fans Y-ed into it. Basic is great. Max cooling is very good. Run wide open! This cooler's noise is extremely sensible for having two fans
