Chose this drive over the WD Red line for two reasons. One was that recent RED drives have shown a higher failure rate if you look at customer reviews around the web. Second, the price was less than $100 for a 2TB NAS drive. This drive has excellent reviews around too. Working well in my current Shuttle NAS!
