operates fine out of the box on my ps3 immediately after formatting and reinstalling firmware (backed up my information to a usb just before removing old) i'm partially deaf ဂ% with no a hearing help) maybe 50-60% with, and let me inform you. this issue is LOUD, if im anyplace close to the method all i hear is the humming from it and with old 40gb drive there was no noise. great for the money, i woulda spent a handful of bucks far more if i knew it was gonna be so loud |

+ I purchased this to upgrade my Black Macbook's 160GB HDD, so far it has worked flawlessly.+ The 160GB HDD that I took out of my Macbook was an Apple stamped Seagate Drive, so if you're upgrading your Macbook and don't trust Seagate, you may already have a Seagate drive inside your computer system.+ It's low-cost, and performs. - now it's less costly than how substantially I payed I bought this drive back in March, and waited 3+ months to create my review due to the fact some persons mentioned theirs died within three months of use. I've kept my old HDD about just encase that happened, but I have but to have any troubles with my HDD, not even "clicking" that some men and women have wrote about.and if anyone mentioned anything about noise, it's just about as loud/silent as my old HDD. |

Quiet operation. The exact same brand as my 80 GB HDD from my PS3. Immediately after installing and formatting the disk and synchronizing trophies, the remaining HDD space was 413 GB and total of 465GB ࿃ GB applied up for technique memory etc..). Restored all my saved gamedata from external HDD and so far there was no challenge at all. So far there is no cons. Seagate is a dependable brand and I normally use this brand. Excellent capacity in a really little drive. I purchased this drive to upgrade my PS3 from 160 GB to 500 GB. Fantastic price for 500 Gb. None so far. Bought this HDD to replace 80Gb PS3 HDD. Designed a backup file, ྾Gb) and installed the Seagate. Did a system restore and had to put the most current PS3 update on a thumbdrive to boot back up. No biggie, just downloaded it from Sony web page and bam! I've got myself a 500Gb PS3 for โ! |

Low-cost though it was a fiar bit additional when I bought it. Premature death at 13 months costing me a lot of time to reconstruct a workstation. Ran SpinRight on the drive for days with no good results so the difficulty isn't just a couple of undesirable sectors. Now I'd have to RMA a drive that is complete of my clientele confidential info - not positive it is worth it for a ์ drive. Low-cost and simple to set up. Drive entirely died immediately after only 3 months. I took it to the data recovery guys on our campus. When they plugged in the drive, it started making the click of death noises and they laughed and told me that I could send it to a cleanroom facility exactly where they could probably recover the information by removing the platters and placing in a new read mechanism. I had a backup and sent the old drive back to Seagate for replacement. I am not certain what I will do with the replacement. |
somewhat economical Purchased this to replace an 80gb Hitachi drive that came w/ my Toshiba Satellite. Whereas my laptop would crash less than after a month through heavy use it now crashes several instances a week. WoW which is incredibly HDD heavy reports corrupted game files (and crashes) 10x much more generally than prior to. Each and every time that happens it requires ㅖ mins to run the repair utility. Difficulties w/ this drive began significantly less than 1 week soon after buy. A variety of Seagate HDDs (both internal and external) have performed well for me over the years so I'm especially disappointed in this unit.
