Cons: Sometimes wont work after a power outage

Pros: Easy to setup. Speeds are good.
Comment:
I'm getting 150-180mbps out of the 60 years old wiring of my house.Since I'm using the adapters between my computer and my home theater that's fast enough. On 2 occasions after a power outage the adapters would connect together but wouldn't pass any data. I had to unplug/plug them and redo the setup.I'll most likely buy another set soon.

Cons: None so far

Pros: Plug and PlayFastReliable

I just got these to help someone for use in their apartment. That building had wireless interference all over, and some of the walls were concrete. A wireless signal there couldn't even reach 35ft.With the Powerline adapters, I literally just plugged them in and they worked instantly. I was worried that since the building was around 40 years old, that the electrical wiring might be an issue, but it wasn't.The speeds were also fast enough to max out the user's cable modem (48Mbps).I've never tried Powerline until now, and I'm incredibly impressed. Wireless saturation is so common here, so Powerline is a great alternative.

Cons: Won't wake-up when I turn on my computer, not full 500mbps across 3 floors.

Pros: Reliable, plug&play
Comment:
I connected my PC (on the 2nd floor) to the router (in the basement) and I'm getting 100mbps without any packet loss, this is awesome!!!As expected, 3 floor won't reach 500mbps so it's not my "real" con: it is its power saving features that just won't work with my computer. Luckly, TP-Link have submitted a "beta" program to disable those features. So far I don't have any more complaints!

Cons: Gets hot

Pros: Easy to setup
Comment:
I bought these thinking I can hook up my HTPC in my living room with my switch at the other end of the house. Turns out the wiring in my house is separate so they don't even see each other. Anyways, when plugged into the different sockets in the same room I get around 300Mbps which isn't bad. They are rather large with no passthrough. Also, they get pretty hot after a while.

Cons: Bigger than I expected

Pros: Easy setupAccess to a wired connection in other parts of your house
Comment:
Was initially worried that the poor wiring in my apartment would cause a problem, but none encountered. Increased the speed and reliability of my desktop's connection vs wireless. It also saved me the trouble of having to run an ethernet cable 30ft from my only phone jack to my desktop in another room. Wish I had found these years ago!

Cons: I wish it came with a longer cables. I think they're around 4ft, not sure, too lazy to find/open the box. But luckily I had a few of my own cables lying around. Also, not totally sure if the security works. Don't really have a way of checking it. I just pressed the only button there on both of the devices and hoped for the best. Guess I should've read the manual...

Pros: Plug and play. Not sure about all the technical read/write download/upload numbers, but it seems to be working. Less hangups than the wireless connection I had. Also a huge improvement in latency while playing games like Battlefield 3 and Black Ops. My router is in the second floor while my computer is in the basement. Granted, I'm the only one in the house using this product. Everyone else uses wireless so I cant say much for how this product works with more than 1 plugged in.
Comment:
I've had this product for about a month. Would recommend for desktop users using a wireless connection.

Cons: Small amount of whine from one of the units.

Pros: Easy setup, great performance.
Comment:
Using this kit for a smart tv, rather than wireless. Setup was incredibly easy and haven't had the same issues we had watching netflix with the tv's wireless connection. Only issue is some whine coming from one of the units, but only noticeable if the room is quiet.

Cons: Only one port adapters, TP-Link does not make 4 port.

Pros: Great speeds, minimal interference, easy setup
Comment:
I received my TP-Link TL-PA511KIT AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adapter Starter Kit today, and boy am I happy. No more wi-fi interference for me.Package included two adapters, two cat5 cables, quick set up guide, and tiny cd with a software utility and full manual.I didn't have to do much to set up, just plug each in and (though I'm not sure I had to, press the sync button).Currently using my laptop my livingroom, wired in to one of the plugs, the other being in in my office. With multiple speed tests, it seems I am getting the full throughput of my connection. I can't complain.I just wish TP-Link made 4 port gigabit adapters as well. If I decide to keep this, it means I must also set up a router/switch in my livingroom for all my devices, which means I need an extra plug.I ordered a TrendNet 405E 4Port av500 adapter as well, but it does not seem to want to play nice with the TP-Link no matter what I do. Right now I can't decide if I want to return the TP-Link and purchase another TrendNet, or keep the TP-Link, as I know they work.In any case, if you want a product that works, and don't mind that it's only one port, this is the way to go!

Cons: Price and Bulk

Pros: Great Speed, ease of use.
Comment:
Had wondered how well these worked and decided to get a pair on sale. they are a little bit bigger than I expected, but were very easy to hook up, and provide much better speeds than my wireless does. Works well coupled with a switch.

Very easy to use and install. Plug and go essentially. No more hassle with feeding wires. Works great for smart tvs that do not have the wireless dongle but have the Ethernet port. Fast, reliable and overall superb product.
