This is my very first try at powerline networking and I need to say I am extremely pleased with this solution. Streamed HD content material from 1 Device to one more devoid of any apparent lag. Much much more constant than my prior Wireless N setup which worked nicely but became inconsistent soon after a although. File transfer speeds exactly where at a steady price of 6 mbs over these adapters. Great produc as a result far! None so far.... I've only utilised on ten럼 pipeline, can't wait to attempt out the gigabit capabilities.

I was in a position to wire my Internet enabled Bluray player to my router using this kit. In my opinion, it's greater than utilizing wireless N for streaming video from the Internet. It was straightforward to install and configure. There was no will need to get in touch with their tech assistance. Absolutely nothing so far. Wireless is not the only remedy for house and small business. If you want to hold your home/business network operating at the highest doable speed AND you don't want to run network cable in your residence/office, Powerline is a viable answer.

Guidelines are fantastic. Initial set-up went well. Sufficient connection & information transfer, although connected. After 3-five hrs, over numerous days, the connection repeatedly drops. The indicator light remains amber, indicating there is a connection, but there truly isn't. Both units look incredibly warm. Bought technique to extend web to upstairs bonus area. Was easiest system. Will request new unit/RMA & try again. If TRENDnet folks are reading this- I'd suggest they design unit for far better heat dissipation.

Connected it to outlet A, and Outlet B(on a separate breaker) is acquiring a 'Good' connection. Now the Television in the living area can connect to Netflix. Appears to be in working order :) It may well be to blame, for my networking troubles with an additional device. Not sure but. The other device is also quite cutting edge. (WD Television Reside Plus). But then, windows 7 could be to blame. Still looking into it. It seems to be carrying out it's job appropriately. It kept me from going below the home once more, So I'm happy :D

Uncomplicated to use. Just plug it in and your completed. 1st 500mbps powerline to industry. Newegg shipped very promptly and the value was excellent. Like a previous reviewer stated, I'm not acquiring anywhere close to the speeds advertised. Streaming regular def t.v. is fine but when streaming HD, things get a little jerky. My household wiring is new. It's frustrating mainly because I really want to like this powerline device but I can't figure out how to get superior speed from this item. Maybe a firmware update may well address this problem. Also, I don't see anywhere listed exactly where you can purchase just one adapter. Getting bought the kit, I would like to acquire a single adapter but so far, no luck. I would like to suggest this product but I have reservations. If you're streaming typical def and your wiring is in quite very good shape, then this ought to perform effectively. Also, if you're connecting to a pc, then you really should be okay for surfing the web. If the price comes down and the speed issues are addressed, this would be a strong acquire. Manufacturer Response:Valued Consumer, We are sorry for any inconvenience this may well have brought on you. We would appreciate an chance to operate with you to resolve some of these performance troubles you are presently experiencing. works with contact of dutyincredibly easy to set upstreaming netflix extremely simple none yet I bought this about a week ago. Shipping was lightning rapid with newegg. setup is plug and play. My home is late 70's electrical wiring, for what it's worth. I played about 20 games of contact of duty on the Xbox 360 with no lag whatsoever. The router and Xbpx are two rooms apart on the very same floor. I tried Netflix streaming upstairs in the area straight above the router on a blu-ray player and received HD top quality video no difficulty. Really pleased hence far. I did not have the blender, the microwave, or any other powerhog appliances running while testing, so I don't know how it does throughout peak periods of electrical use. I did not appear to see how numerous mbps were coming by way of the line, I just know the solution worked for what I expected to do. I am ordering two more for a couple other rooms in the residence. It's also nice to know that Trendnet is monitoring user testimonials to try and assist with their item. That's often a excellent sign.

1. Really straightforward to setup2. Sufficient throughput for streaming (ㆈ Mbps) 1. Poor implementation of utility computer software2. Safety not possible to verify I purchased this kit for the sole cause of connecting a Roku Netflix player in my bedroom. It fit the bill completely; I have had no concerns streaming from Netflix (the Trendnet utility is reporting ~ 80Mbps throughput). My greatest complaint is with the non-intuitive, flaky utility and the resulting lack of self-assurance I have in the safety these devices offer. I attempted to alter the network name which took a quantity of attempts to get past error messages claiming the device password was wrong (which it wasn't) and/or failures to set the network name on all the devices. Eventually, (using the identical values) I was able to execute all the steps with no errors. However, when I go back into the utility it shows "unknown networkname". The devices are still communicating, so I'm actually not confident exactly where that leaves me. Safety is of paramount value to me; I might get one more of these devices to test this out. 4 stars assuming safety is operating; if I uncover no safety - down to 1 star.

The powerline adapters sync'd up promptly. Too slow to play a film encoded in x264 at 28.2Mbps with DTS sound at 1.5Kbps without having stutter. I wanted to elimination the difficult wired network running to the HTPC in the living area. I tried 5 distinct outlet combinations with the quickest performing a file copy at 47ㅨMbps. But when I attempted to play a film which was encoded at 28.2Mbps plus 1.5Kbps DTS sound the film would not play with no stuttering. Even though playing the throughput was about 25.3Mbps which was beneath the encoded rate. The quickest throughput I got was 83Mbps whilst each adapters have been plugged into the exact same outlet. Of course this was not a workable resolution. My property was constructed in 1976. Even though this is not the newest residence it is not the oldest either. Your mileage might very.

Simple to use, can get up to high speeds. Don't see any problems with interference even though employing other electronics. The software is balls. I have by no means gotten it to recognize the other adapter. Just doesn't work. This doesn't protect against use although. Occasionally it won't come out of sleep mode when I power on my xbox. This can be fixed typically by unplugging the receiving adapter and plugging it back in. From time to time the link just wont operate. A few minutes of random button pushing and unplugging and plugging back in commonly sets items ideal. Software program undesirable. Gaming speed fantastic.

I've tried a quantity of wireless-n devices and powerline devices to get from the space exactly where I have world wide web, to my HT setup. These rooms had been about 25 feet away Ƒst floor-2nd Floor). I had settled on 2.4ghz Wireless-N, as the efficiency seemed the greatest compared to 200Mbit powerline devices. At one point, I was obtaining 40-80Mbits, based on inteference, etc. Lately, the speed of Wireless-N was finding worse. I believe this was due to neighbors upgrading their equipment to N.I decided to try this device, to see if it was any greater. I tried plugging into many outlets about each locations, to see what outlets were the very best. The very best I could get was around 150-160Mbits (as reported by the devices). Actual throughput at these speeds was about 31Mbits Ƒ way) making use of jperf. Speed was a lot more steady then my N devices though. I was truly hoping for at least 60Mbits. Setup was effortless. Plug and Play. Speed isn't anywhere close to what's advertised. I expected this, but I was hoping for far better than 6% of the advertised speed. Not confident if its worth keeping. Comes with a utility that makes it possible for you to see connectivity more than powerline that displays excellent and some kind of estimated speed that is incredibly high. Super uncomplicated to set up. I just plugged into the wall and added a router and it worked, didn't even use the "link" buttons. Streamed HD beautifully on the xbox 360. Games also reported no lag. No pass by means of outlet. Tiny costly, but the tech is relatively new and this is the only 500mbps accessible. I haven't tested the speed with the blender and the microwave on. But I think the 500mbps will provide a solid cushion.

Pros: 500mbps, gigabit ports, and works with my UPS and surge protector
Comment:
Bought it to expand my network to my home theatre devices connected through an older router (as a switch). Speed is acceptable, and it works even through my Cyberpower UPS or a Belkin surge protector (despite people saying it wouldn't) without any noticeable speed degrade. Though it never went to standby mode even all my devices are off. It will only go idle if the cable is physically unplugged. Maybe it's because my router was still "using" it.

I got this because a microwave oven sat between my wireless N router and my computer. Whenever the microwave was on my network would die. This gadget solved my problem beautifully. The only thing I would complain about is that it is not exactly plug and play. You have to push the little black sync button on both of them before they would pair up and then you might also need to do some power cycling before they would get an address from your router/switch.

I bought this 500M kit to replace my Netgear 200M kit.Yes the speed increases from 29M to 38M. But there is an issue that I have to unplug it and replug it if I need to wake it up from power saving mode(sleep mode). My Netgear kit can be woke up automatically when I turn on my device.I emailed the CS. Unfortunately there is no way to fix this issue even just disable the power saving mode.I would like to give it 2 stars but the system asked for order ID which I can't find on the receipt. OK, just give it 3 stars.

The computer I use is 1 floor directly below the my router. In the past I used a D-link dwa extreme N wireless card but the throughput was worse than garbage (10-30mbps). Now that I installed the new wall-adapter is get about (50-100mbps). While this is a farcry from the advertised 500mbps, it is still an improvement and I no longer get connection drops like I did with wireless. Still, nothing beats a good old patch cable.
