I got this cooler 3 days ago from NCIX.com. It only took me few minutes to install and it is very quiet with excellent cooling power.

Pros: Quiet, cools my 7600gt nicely

I purchased this to cool my 7600gt KO as the stock heatsink was too loud for my liking. Put it on silent mode, and I can't hear it. Cools very nicely. Idles around 44c and load is like 48c. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-19-07 11:17 PM

Pros: -Cools GREAT!-Silent!
Comment:
I'm REALLY happy i purchased this GPU cooler for my 6600GT. Cools it extremely well. Temps were around 60 on idle, now its around 46 degrees on idle. Haven't checked load temps but you can bet your bottom dollar its going to be lower than stock. Its also a silent cooler which is awesome because my stock fan was ridiculously loud. Overall i'm very pleased with this!

Cons: has a 3 pin power connector so couldnt hook it up to the 2 pin cnnector on my card. had to plug it directly to PSU which made it a little cluttered, but no big deal

Pros: cheap, easy installation, good cooling
Comment:
slapped this on my BFG 7600GT because the stock fan is WAY too loud. this thing fit perfectly. had it up and running in about 15 mins.

Cons: - Voids the VideoCard warranty- Air is low in the case compared to ArticCoolers (out of case)

Pros: - Quiet in Silent Mode- Efficient- Easy Installation
Comment:
I purchased this to replace the stock cooler of my ATI Radeon 9800PRO AGP which was starting to make alot of noise. After restarting my computer with it installed, I had to check to make sure it was working because it was so quiet (in silent mode) and my card runs cooler too!

Cons: none

Pros: Super quiet and cool running.
Comment:
I installed the VF700-ALCU on my BFG 6600 GT OC to get rid of the excessive fan noise with the original cooler. The installation was very easy and although I wanted to keep the original ramsinks because they were bigger, I had replace them with the Zalman ones because of fan clearance. I am running the Zalman on "slow speed - 5V" and my card runs just as cool as with the original fan, plus it is almost silent. Big improvement and I can always speed it up if I need more cooling.

Cons: Fan not temperature controlledOnly semi-compatible with 6600gt AGP cards

Pros: InexpensiveLightweightSilent and power fan modesEasy installationGreat cooling
Comment:
On EVGA 6600GT AGP, this cooler dropped the temperature by about 10C idle (59C to 49C, according to rivatuner). The load temps dropped by more than 15C. On the EVGA, the heatsink sticks out by a bit more than 20cm, contrary to the 30cm posted by Zalman (see uploaded pics). The ram sinks will not fit, however the fan blows directly over them so it will not make a difference. If you keep the fan on silent mode, it's practially inaudible. Overall, great product.

Cons: Ramsinks don't fit on some AGP cardsInstructions were somewhat lacking

Pros: Efficient coolingExtremely quietFairly trouble free install
Comment:
I purchased the VF700 ALCU to replace the stock cooler on my EVGA 6600 GT APG because the stock cooler wasn't very good at cooling and it also had a very high pitched buzzing. I was worried about removing the stock heatsink as I had heard that most video card heatsinks are thermal compound glued onto the chipset, luckily the EVGA heatsink did not and it popped right off. After installing the Zalman heatsink I had no room to install the ramsinks. Overall the card is completely silent compared to my case fans in silent mode and has fulfilled the goal I set for it.

Cons: takes up a lot of space

Pros: quiet, cools very well
Comment:
I installed this on a sapphire 9800 pro atlantis to replace a fan that was in the process of seizing up. Prior to installation we were getting artifacts and the heat sink was hot to the touch (the old fan was still spinning, sort of). It took a few minutes to install and it takes up at least one adjacent slot, probably two, but the results were worth it. The system is running properly and the fan is super quiet. It looks kind of weird with all of the heatsinks but it does an excellent job of cooling. When I installed it I thought there might be a problem with the metal collar around the video chip preventing the base from making proper contact. After seeing a couple of posts that described the problems if you remove the collar I decided to leave it in place. Everything is working perfectly.

Cons: May still be found loud running in some systems even in quiet mode (5 Volts)

Pros: Very quiet compared to stock cooler, relitively inexpensive compared to other options.
Comment:
This cooler was very simple to install and included simple step by step illustrated instructions, very simple on tool required in a screwdriver. Extremely versitle great to keep your cooling when upgrading. MUCH quieter than stock in all cases, made from 100% copper and aluminum where stock heatsinks may contain cheaper and less efficient alloys. Patented design maintains low noise while outpreforming most other cooling options. Not reccommended for anyone not concerned with noise in their system or do not plan on OCing, stock cooling is adequate for all cards.

Cons: -Can void the videocard's warranty, depending on who it was manufactured by

Pros: -Very easy installation-Looks awsome!-Very effecient cooler-Low noise
Comment:
Quiet and Cool! Those would be the words I would use if I had to describe this cooler in three words or less. Installation was very simple. Intalling the heatsink/fan combo took me only about fifteen minutes where as it took me around two hours taking off the stock heatsink/fan from my videocard. It keeps my eVGA 6800GT PCIe under 75* load at all times with the fan running at a very low 5 volts. This is about 8* cooler than stock. When I first hit the power up button, I was pleased to notice the lack of a high pitched scream from what used to come from the stock heatsink/fan.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to cool their vga card but lower the noise coming from their system.

Ordered it last night, picked it up this morning, and had it installed and up and running an hour later for the whole day. Man, does this thing kick. I have a Geforce 4 Ti4200 (128mb), and I have it overclocked now thanks to this baby. I can now run the latest games with little to no problem. With a new CPU on the way too, I will be a very happy nerd.

Cons: The only weakness (and this is VERY minor) is the fact that it doesn't shuttle the hot air out of your case

Pros: QuieT!!!!!!!!!!!!Cools amazinglyVery affordableWicked companyGood instructional video on Zalman's site
Comment:
I bought this unit locally in Nova Scotia to replace the god awful loud and crappy fan on my BFG 6800GT. The old fan was the dual blue LED fan cooler. Man, what a difference! The old 2x40mm fan was way over 30dba and my temps were around 63C idle, mid 70's load. With the Zalman on SILENT MODE the card idles at 50C and loads around mid 60's !!! And on silent mode it's only 18dba, it's incredible!!!I haven't tried the 12V too much, but I'm sure it cools quite a bit better, however the noise goes up to around 28dba. The only weakness I can think of is the Zalman VF700 doesn't shuttle the hot air out of the case like the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer's do. It just blows the air away from the card, but if you have any exhaust fans in your case (which you should anyways to ventilate the CPU and other components anyways), then it's not a problem at all.EXCELLENT PRODUCT.

Cons: DOES NOT ALLOW RAMSINKS TO BE USED WITH 6600GT AGP

Pros: PriceEfectiveness
Comment:
I just got this heatsink today and started to install it and was a impressed with the quality of the unit. Instalation went off without a hitch except for a very important feature I was lokking for. The ramsinks could not be used on my XFX 6600GT. The position of the ram is too close to the base of the HS and does not have enough height to clear the sinks. The unit did drop my temps by 8c to 10c while giving me an oc of 580/1150. Good aftermarket cooler for this card even though I wish the ramsinks worked.

Cons: - On a 6600gt agp like mine, it sticks a bit off the board. Nothing big, just wanted to mention that. Make sure it fits your card (it should) before you rush to get it. And OH Yes, GO GET THIS NOW!!!!

Pros: -QUIET-HIGH, GREAT Performance-Allows for lots of OCing. Great for cooling ram.-Impossible to mess up on instalation.-Did I say that It is COOL? -Lowers temperatures a LOT
Comment:
I finally got this for my xfx 6600gt. I installed it no probs. First off, it looks heavy, but it is actually a lot lighter than the stock HSF. Go with the Copper version.Temps Before and After installing the vf700alcu:Idle Before: 46After: 33Load Before 66+ (didn't really check how much higher it goes. more than 66C though) OC : 550/1070 After 50 (I never saw it go more than 51.) OC : 600/1200all, in all this is a GREAT product. A note, the "AFTER" is after I had my card clocked at 600/1200. Before it was at 550/1070. So this is QUITE a difference especially considering that I more than doubled my oc, and I am 20Degrees Cooler. NICE.Another note, this product was EXTREMELY easy to install. VERRY easy. It is impossible to mess up your card. I installed other coolers souch as Arctic Coolers on other cards, and had an uneasy feeling. Installing this was less stressful than turning on my pc. It did not even cross my mind that I could mess up my card with this.Great, amazing product overall. Great job Zalman!!!
