Anyways, popped two of these babies in there and there was a big functionality enhance! :) Cleaned some malware off of it and now the wife's mom really should be content as soon as they get the laptop back! None Wish I would have waited given that there is a 2GB kit on sale proper now for the value that 1GB of these was at the time.

excellent rice for i gig, not bad. only had this ram for a week prior to it crapped the bed, my laptop was working fine with this ram then 1 day out of the blue, laptop crashes and ram no longer posts, chip got bricked somehow, watch out for this item.

None but. 1 of the bars was negative and kept generating the method crash. Had to go by means of a difficult testing with a self booting cd which the bars passed. I Am now waiting for the RMA number which has been over a week now. Hopefully the replacement will operate...if it ever comes. I nevertheless have to get the RMA, send the faulty ram back and have them send the replacement. Will this take 2 far more weeks? I bought the RAM three weeks ago.

Arrived in 3 days. This Corsair So-Dimm memory does not perform with this laptop. I had to purchase, at a higher expense, the original gear 1GB memory. Manufacturer Response:According to the Gateway specifications listed you can only add a 512MB module.However, this does conflict with the original Via chipset specifications stating 4GB memory support. No difficulties with compatibility. Went into Gateway MX6453 to replace the stock modules. On four-4-4-12 timings they default to 266MHz, which is what I wanted. They will also deal with 200MHz as nicely. No challenges with anything at all. Have had them for about a month now. None I bought these as a replacement to the stock RAM due to possessing far as well numerous program freezes and crashes. Good value, incredibly decent excellent. Unfortunately, this ram isn't fully supported in a Pico-ITX motherboard. It only reads about half of the total memory. Nonetheless functions @ 512MB, but doesn't give complete 1GB.UPS definitely has troubles delivering to firms, so I had to go choose up my shipment in the subsequent town.
