I have already bought four of these units and am quite satisfied. They look exactly like the one pictured. On the plus side, this heavy 4-drawer Vaultz cabinet is sturdily built and does seem as strong as it looks. It is very convenient to organize CD and DVD discs, with and without jewel cases. Because of its weight, the cabinet is unlikely to tip over -- like cheap all-plastic models would. I have yet to see a competing product of similar quality. On the down side, obviously the drawers are not on rolling sliders (this would have driven up the price significantly), so opening and closing a drawer may require holding the box at times, but that's understandable. Also there was a very faint glue-type smell with the drawers open, but it never bothered me.

When it arrived I expected much less. However when I opened the box, I was thrilled to see that the product actually exceeded my expectations. All surfaces were black, simulated, graphite-epoxy composite look, with stainless-steal edgeing, with chrome hw accents. This give the cabinet a real hi-tech look. Drawers fit OK. No smell. Looks good next to my black monitor, speakers and kybd.

I have purchased 3 of these cd holders. Some of the construction is inadequate and out of square resulting in hard to close drawers. This is a manufacturing issue all the way. Overall the units are still good.

I bought 2 of these several years ago and loved them. Then I decided I needed another and it was a no-brainer choice to stick with Vaultz. The 3rd one I bought was a bit different than the first 2. The drawers have removable dividers which takes up quite a lot of space, considering how tight it is to begin with, and make it more difficult to fit the sleeves in when the drawer is full. Bad idea. I hope they've changed it by now and the next one I buy will be back to its original design. I should mention that I don't use the Vaultz sleeves since they're cardboard and with multiple removing and replacing of discs shows more scratches than using plastic ones.

I use this cabinet with plastic cd cases, fits fine. Drawers function fine as does the locking mechanisms. I find no revolting odor as in other reviews, but a slight odor from the materials is there. Otherwise, a nice cabinet and a fair price. One review said there was disappointment for the few paper sleeves included in the package. If I spend hundreds on software and really want to protect my investment, paper sleeves are absurd!... so, less than 660 disks can be stored. No problem for me.

I almost bought two of these. I'm glad I read the reviews first. It comes with only 6 sleeves, yet requires 660 sleeves to perform as advertised. To purchase the additional 660 sleeves will cost an additional $105. Total cost for a fully functional storage unit = $175. Not a good deal at all. This is also highly deceptive. Shame on you.

I guess I'm not much of a drawer sniffer (see other reviews). For me the reality issue is drawer alignment. Although, this becomes slightly more of an issue when the drawers are fully loaded. Don't order more of the sample storage sleeves (included with the cabinet). Go for the cheapest price, and order tyvek sleeves with flaps. I've been using my 6 cabinets for storage for the last 4 years. I haven't run into any real issues with their smell, or appearance.

Would've been five stars all the way, except it holds 660 discs... and comes with 6 sleeves. On the bright side, it's built well, and mine doesn't stink! Just be sure to purchase sleeves with it, as it's a bit useless without them!

This thing has quite the odor. I bought two of them and they're in a small room with me. Every time I open a drawer, the smell is pretty powerful - smells like some weird adhesive or magic markers or something. Aside from the smell, this is a very cheaply-made, poor build-quality product. It looks nice from a distance, but get at all close and you can see all sorts of alignment imperfections. But you really start to feel the hackery when you open a drawer (and I'm not even talking about the smell anymore). It slides poorly, the fabric is attached shoddily in places, you can see the glue, and sometimes it takes a pretty hefty push to get the drawer closed because of build-tolerance issues. But I'm a cheap bastard, so I'd buy it again despite all of the above. Its job is just to hold a bunch of discs, after all.

Didnt know a product was meant to be rated on its smell lol. I got some family members who stink and i dont hate them. Oh well, this product does the job and you wont be disappointed.

Glue oder is unbearable!! Whatever they're using as an adhesive is too much for me!! It's been over a month and still overpowering the ENTIRE room!!
