Cons: Instructions are poor. Shipped with firmware that doesn't work.

Pros: Small, included USB power cord.
Comment:
I bought one of these and wasted a couple of hours trying to get it to work in adapter mode. I ended up taking the first one back. It ships with firmware 2.0.1.9, which seems to only have the gateway mode working. It can't find networks in any of the other modes. Upgrading the firmware to 2.0.2.0 doesn't help. I had to downgrade the firmware to 2.0.1.8 to get the other modes to work. The starter guide and user manual are both pretty useless. Hopefully they will provide some updated firmware that actually works.

Cons: Gets very hotCables are two shortNo PoE

Pros: Does what I need
Comment:
I got this one sale on NCIX eBay outlet. I needed an network adapter for my Blu-Ray player in my front room. This thing works great for doing just that. I have it plugged into my Blu-Ray Player using the very short RJ45 cable and for its USB power I have it plugged in the USB storage plug. This thing could be a bit lower in price, for it's size it shouldn't need a USB cable for power as PoE should of worked. And it gets very hot fast.

Super simple setup. Plug into computer, put the ip address listed in the manual (or on the back of the device)into your web browser, login, and choose what you want it to do. Then it takes about 30 seconds to configure and you are good to go. Works 100% with my Xbox 360!

Cons: none yet , waiting on rebate

Pros: small, price , supports WPA2
Comment:
Picked this up on sales and rebate as mainly a repeater working with my Linksys WRT160 v2 ( ya on Linksys FW) and it works liek a charm with WPA2 private key. good coverage and performance is 17+ Mbps down and 2Mbps up on Shaw so not mcuh penatly versus wired.

Cons: Repeater mode does not work. Wireless strength is very weak.

Pros: Cheap. Small.
Comment:
Repeater mode does not work.I set it up as repeater mode after hours to only discover to connect to it you must reconnect your wireless device to the network. This means every time I change rooms, I must disable my wireless the re-enable it, not a true repeater. This is because the device does not do MAC address cloning! To enabled MAC address cloning, you set it to hot spot mode as I did via Asus' online manual. This BRICKED the device! It no longer works. Sent for a refund!

Cons: None that I know of

Pros: Size is compact, price is decent for what you get
Comment:
This is the second of these units that I've purchased.. in both scenarios I needed an access point, as in, a means to connect the device to an already existing wireless network to give network access to another device, in my case, the device is a TV Media Box that needs connectivity to the network without the means of using ethernet. These Asus units work pretty well.. they are not the highest quality devices ever, but their interface is as simple as it comes and it is easy to get working right out of the box. Transfer speeds are decent, so for any HD streaming they are certainly not going to be sufficient, but for regular audio or video streaming will work a charm..I haven't had any trouble yet with them either, so for the price they work pretty well and are versatile units that can be used in several modes. Overall great handy little unit!

Pros: mutiple usesportableeasy setup
Comment:
Easy setup, pretty much just plug it in and use it. I have been using it as a wireless card for my desktop for a year and a half even though i should just get an internal one. Bought it for a decent price, and the mail in rebate money actually came.

Cons: Useless in hotpost mode

Pros: Small and I assume works well in modes other than the one I want.
Comment:
While the device seems fine, it is useless in hotspot mode (which is what i bought it for). While it can connect to a hotspot, there is no way to get to the capture portal that almost all hotspots have (i.e. click here to agree to our terms or whatever). Very disappointing as making something small enough to travel is great, but only if you can actually use it.

Cons: as a repeater it is kind of useless

Pros: Works well a a gatway
Comment:
I bought this thinking I would use it as a repeater when outside.. well it is not this products fault but it's kind of pointless to have a repeater attached to your computer as the signal is already degraded by the time it reaches you. Works well as a gateway for multiple connections to one wifi hotspot however.. for this use it makes sense. Just don't bother if all you want is a repeater, there are far better options out there for not much more.

Cons: An extra ethernet port would be nice, need 11N

Pros: Compact, multi function, usb or adapter powered
Comment:
I use this as a wireless repeater for weak spots in my home. The wireless reception on it is better than my iphone. Also tried using it as a wireless router and it works well.I wish it has one extra ethernet port, so then you can share a wired connection between a wireless and non-wireless device

Cons: Only one ethernet port

Pros: Very compact
Comment:
I bough this on sale for a good price and with a rebate offer in additon. The net price made it a very attractive deal. It is very compact which is the reason I picked it up. It should come in handy when travelling, especially where there is limited or no wireless available. ie only via ethernet. I found the basic setup quite simple. Have not tried to set up with security yet. Would buy again.

Took me around 5 mins. to set it up as repeater. Excellent product, worth every penny! I have this before Zio WLB5254AP Wireless Access Point 802.11B/G and it's garbage! Cheap, but garbage. I bought the Zio for $19 or less when it was on sale. I'm throwing out the Zio.

Only had this little unit a few hours but I'm impressed already. I bought this to replace a inconsistent WAP54G AP I had modified to print to a remote Brother network multifunction printer. Had it up and running in adapter mode inside of 5 minutes and I'm printing and scanning without issue. Highly recommended at this point

I bought one of these to use as a repeater. I had to update  the firmware on the other router before the WL-330GE would work with it, so keep this in mind if you have any problems. It was extremely simple to get working. This is an amazing product at a very reasonable price.

Pics made it look very small, but it's pretty big. I've been wanting something to take with me for travel and this is the solution! 4 modes to use in one device makes it practical to use in a room full of people with no wifi.

Cons: Has some issues accessing it when it changes the IP to whatever it is assigned by the router

Pros: AWESOME, does exactly what it should....most of the timeVery compact, nice case (i don't worry about it breaking)Does the job. Many people can connect at once AND it can share an internet connection which is great
Comment:
I initially bought this for some casual gaming at school....cough cough (or studying...cough cough).... We haven't noticed any significant lag or connection issues.I find it has some issues when acting as a repeater or adapter, your best bet is to just keep it in the access point mode, i find that works the best.
