This router is well priced, easy to set up, and beautiful. I had a pain in the ass setting up this router because i received a faulty ethernet wire with my purchase, but no biggy, picked another one up and set up in seconds. i get wireless about 200 feet from my home

Pros: Bought on sale - refurbished - looks brand new
Comment:
Set it up. Plug and play. Setup the wireless password and it works. No big noticeable gains in range (compared to a bottom of the line TP-Link), but definitely faster if you are going from G to N capability.

Pros: DD-WRT compatible, sometimes has a cheaper recertified model available.
Comment:
Grabbed it at 30$ as a recertified model and flashed it with DD-WRT(Voids warranty!!!!!!) I am using it as a bridge client as it is muuuuch more powerful then a pci-E or usb network adapter could ever be. Works great and gives me an amazing range.

I bought this as a refurbished unit for the time being since i needed a cheap router, and for 29.99 it was the cheapest simple router i could find. It didnt come with any manuals just the setup cd,wires and the router. The setup was really easy and all the dropped connections ive been reading hasnt happend to me as of yet. Havent bothered with the wireless connections yet only using the wired connections right now. Overall i think its a great router for the price i got it for

Got this to replace my WRT300n, its works better then my old piece at least, and lucky i got it on sales (39.99). When more then 5 ppls using at the same times, the traffic will jam a bit and some ppls will get drop  off. still the price is unbeatable, so who care...

Cons: 2.4Ghz band only so there is interference when the microwave goes on and I've got some 2.4Ghz cordless phones so you can hear some background noise sometimes from the phones.

Pros: compact, sits in my living room so the sleek look has wife factor approval, doesnt generate much heat. does the job.
Comment:
I got this to replace a dlink. Its basic and good value for the price. Apparently you can switch to using DD-WRT but the version i got is V2 which apparently doesnt support it. Doh!

Cons: none for my purposes as of yet

Pros: price ( got a refurb on sale )looks kind of cool
Comment:
Got one of these to implement WPA2 security as my old router did not support this. Set-up for me was a bit tricky as I did not want to dismantle my gigabit backbone too much but eventually got the install CD to find the router.I have the V2 which has known issues so waiting to see if they crop up but non problems so farSetup was simple though I was I could have opted to retain 192.168.0.x for my subnet as I had a few devices nto using DHCP but no biggy.Flashed to the latest firmware and set security and I was set. Worked fine with VPN tunnel (MSRA ) and no issues with wireless connections.Wish the wired prots were gigabit sop if I had paid full price , I would look to a router that does.Otherwise I have no issues with what I am using it for. Cons: - 2.4GHz band only.

Pros: - Good coverage.- Good performance.- v1, v1.1, and now v3 can use DD-WRT firmware.- Price.
Comment:
I got this to replace a dying D-Link router and so far it's working great. Setup is really easy, and if you need more features, you can always use DD-WRT. Would be nice if it was dual band, but for the price, it does the job.

Cons: Weak Wifi signalLimiting Web InterfaceDidn't package full usermanual

Pros: it works, but barely.
Comment:
I tried giving this 2 stars, but this interface was broken and wouldn't accept my order number. I was hoping this was an upgrade from my netgear 802.11b router that I purchased 5 years ago, but I'm very disappointed and here are my reasons. First, the real user guide was not packaged. They ask you to install bloated software onto your PC when it's not required. I had to hunt for the user guide online.Second, the number of port forwarding is limited. If you run out of fields, the software doesn't allow you to create  new ones. Since I experiment with a home web network, this was important to me.Third. From the web interface, you can't see the entire list of IP leases. Only the DHCP ones. Dammit, show the entire list! I have at least half a dozen IP's + handhelds running through physical and virtual machines. Fourth. Wireless signal only reaches one bar. That's damn frustrating considering that the old router would give full bars. I think that I made a big mistake by purchasing. $77, and if I regift it, my friends would probably call me for support all of the time. I don't know what to do.

Cons: Relatively expensive for what you get -- 2.4GHz band only, no Gigabit, v3 not DD-WRT flashable

Pros: Acceptable range, good performance
Comment:
I bought this router for a friend. I personally have a WRT610N for performance and simultaneous Dual-N band, but my friend just wanted a "normal" N router. So I bought this one. Generally speaking, it was easy to configure and offered acceptable performance -- it's too bad the latest v3 isn't DD-WRT flashable to unlock all the features.

Cons: - Seems to have a Firmware issue which cause DHCP to stop working, So we had to downgrade the Firmware.

Pros: - N speed- Got it at a good price during a sale

It's a good router and fast enough for treaming video compare to the G technology. We got a Firmware issue but seems to be resolved after we downgraded the Firmware.

I've had this router for 2 weeks now. It was working fine in both hard-wired and wireless modes. However, yesterday it decided to stop assigning IP addresses. Tried everything...nothing worked.Getting a different router. Disappointing for a Cisco product since I work with their high-end switches.

Cons: No External Antennae

Pros: Decent price for what it is.Simple design.
Comment:
Its a router, they are all basically bic lighters, but this is good for the price. It doesn't have the same issues with D-Link if you are on Xplornet or HUGHS internet services (thats what I do for a living so I see so many routers, brands, and issues they have). They are ok. I usually only use these when they are on discount because I like EnGenius routers WAY better.

Cons: Single-band wifi, firmware still not amazing

Pros: Sleek, fast, efficient
Comment:
This router is pretty damn slick, I get about 5MB/s over wifi, which is better than I used to get with g (1MB). I installed dd-wrt on it after three weeks of ownership and it's runs beautifully. The router itself is pretty slick and looks neat too. I recommend getting the WRT610N though, as that one is Dual-Band and would be much better if you're in any way concerned about speed over wifi.

Cons: Unit can get hot.

Pros: No antennas to get broken or in the way.
Comment:
Having bought Linksys for years and only using Linksys routers for years I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless N router. With the easy setup and configuration there is nothing better. Having replaced a Belkin router with this one there is no comparison. Only recommendation would be to make sure that there is lots of airflow around the router as it can get hot under some conditions.

I bought this item on a good sale. Shipping was very fast. Unfortunately it doesn't support ICMP mapping and SNMP support but if you don't need them this deviceis really OK for a small home network.

I bought this to replace a suspected faulty WRT54G. The WRT54G was rock solid for several years, even with the stock firmware. It started dropping connections, & DD-WRT firmware didnt fix the prob. Reliability made me want to stick with Linksys.I've had the WRT160N for 2 weeks. I didn't install the supplied software. Just plugged it in, logged into it, turned on security, set all my required settings & it's worked like a charm so far.

Cons: Funky shape isn't stackable.Wall mount has cables going in from the top.

Pros: N works well with a macbook pro
Comment:
We upgraded from a dlink G router to get a faster internet and NAS connection. Better range and reliability (on top of the troughput). I wish the 1G version wasn't so much of a price premium.I haven't had any power saving/dropout issues with my unit (bought in Dec2008).
