Bought this to replace and old WRT54G I've had for years. I've moved to a new place, and had to place my system much farther from my router. No matter what I did did, I couldn't get my trusty old 54G to run past 6 - 7 Mbps download speed on my 15 Mbps service. Tried 3rd party firmware, and even replaced my wireless adapter. The new adapter got me up to ~10Mbps. But once I got this router in place, and a manual few tweaks to the wireless settings, and now I'm pushing between 15 - 27Mbps. Great router!
