Most of this is in comparison to my Turtle Beach X1. First impressions after taking out of the box is that these are built very well. My X1's are broken on one side and it didnt take much to do it but with these I can tell just by holding them that it wont be an issue. If you manage to break these then its safe to say there was excessive force. It includes many of the needed cables for Xbox/PC use and I actually see many reviews note this as a bad thing. My Turtle Beach came with pretty much the exact same cords and they are necessary for a versatile headset. The one downside is that you will potentially need an adapter if you use HDMI on your Xbox since you cant have the HDMI and the component/composite plugged in at the same time (note that you can actually remove the plastic jacket on your component/composite connector and it will fit). For a clean install you need the "Xbox 360 HDMI Audio Adapter" (google that) which is inexpensive. As far as sound quality these are adequate. When using for PC use there is no noticeable hissing (if you hear hissing play with the voice volume control). On the Xbox however there is no hissing until you plug the headset into the controller and you get a slight audible hiss. Once you have any type of sound its not noticeable at all but its worth noting. Another thing I found was that when comparing my X1 and the Sx directly my X1's can go MUCH louder. The Sx still goes pretty loud but its certainly capped well before the X1's are. This could be a good thing though as it will prevent overdriving of the speakers but a little more volume could probably have been afforded.Comfort-wise these things were much better than the X1s. While the cord is heavy and the VCU (Volume Control Unit) is large there is a lapel clip which you can use to reduce the weight. The earpieces move in many different diretions which should help it shape all types of heads and I found it very comfortable on my head and my ears didnt sweat at all (they do a bit on the X1 after long gaming sessions).Overall for $39 (got them on sale) I would say these are good value. Nothing spectacular but a very competent headset for those looking for a PC/360 crossover.

I've been using Turtle beach X1 and X11 since I bought the xbox.X1 died due to one of the arm broken due to the flimsy build quality and cheap material it used. I thought to myself maybe I was not gentle enough with the headphone. (very calm person myself never throw the headphone on the ground violently due to bad game...etc)X11 died when I tried to smooth out the millions feet cord tangled. The power light suddenly went out and never came back no matter how I tried.I enjoyed both sound quality of the Turtle beach; however, their weakest point will be the constant static noise due to the powered-amplify.After my X11 broken down, I thought it's time for me to try something new, I was looking everywhere for reviews and posts for replacement. Almost bought the Tritton Detonator; however, some reviews said it is easily broken especially the mic.I picked up this Sharkoon headphone because it is 50% off. $29.99 is pretty good for a xbox headphone. Glad I tried.Although it is made of all plastic material, you can feel and tell the build quality of this headphone is very good. You can tell it's gonna last longer comparing to X1/X11/X12 if you try to twitch the arms of both headphones; you can feel the turtle beach headphones arms really flimsy and move like they are gonna break. On the other hand, the Sharktoon is pretty solid. Background static noise is always an issue when it comes to X1/X11/X12. However, the Sharktoon doesn't have the problem or very very minimum. After long hours of game time, the background static noise will cause headache at least in my case. The wire used on the Sharktoon is thicker than X11. From my experience with headphones, thicker/wider cords mean less tangled or easier to un-tangled.The sound quality and the mic is decent for games. Tried Skyrim/MW3/GOW3/FORZA, all sounds pretty good.Overall, I feel this is a steal for $30.00. Although X12 has slightly better sound quality due to the 50mm drivers, I would pick the Sharktoon because of the build quality and low to none background static noise.
