When I replaced it with this bad boy temperaturs dropped to a tiny beneath 90F. Stays on extremely effectively. Setting this thing was a discomfort but the results were worth it. The bracket clips that come with it are rather tiny, but sturdy, it is just requires some effort to get them in the appropriate spot. I sm shocked that Ŭ helped take a lot of heat of my Computer even when OC'ing all the time. Recommend employing Silver grease instead of the ceramique that comes with it. |

Northbridge fan went out on a motherboard. This was extremely simple to set up and dissipates the heat extremely well. None The fins are relatively tall, which got in the way of my video card. But it's not a huge deal as the fins can be bent out of the way. It's not truly a flaw. |

I purchased this to replace the sorry excuse for a heat sinc that was on my south bridge on my Intel mobo. After I replaced it with this, my temps went from 80C to about 50C and the thermal paste hasn't even set but. So I am expecting one more degree or two out of this. I ended up possessing to cut it down a bit because it interfered with my graphics card. (gotta appreciate dremel) I really want intel would place much better heat sincs on their mobos; a quarter would have in all probability worked much better than the heat sinc on the south bridge that came with the board. |

It works very well to absorb and dissipate heat. Connection to the motherboard is fully customizable and incredibly secure. Hard to get the arms into the proper spot. Nice that it's customizable, but difficult to get it in the right spot. Not sufficient to deduct an egg, although. Such customization tends to make up for it. Beware when replacing a heatsink-fan setup with this. I did so on a slightly older motherboard with much less than impressive final results. The heatsink got burning hot (which is great. It's carrying out its job completely properly), but the Northbridge was apparently so heat-inefficient that passive cooling just wasn't adequate. (Note that this is not the Heatsink's fault, just a warning to be careful!) |

Just in case! -Barely fits with my video card in there-Does not sit perfectly square on my chipset -Teeny components. A push pin flew apart when putting it with each other and I still can discover portion of it. I was worried till i realized they were good and gave me an extra! If you have great airflow, you could almost certainly get away with this. My A8N-SLI like most had provided me too many issues with the chipset heatsink/fan combo. Of course ASUS fought me just about every time to replace it and I'm on my third time replacing it (twice with the old fan model once with the new model) I decided to try this out. Aluminum heatsink for fast heat dissipation. Fanless. Installation is swift and effortless. Large, incredibly big. The size could be a hindrance for some setups. SILENT!! The N/B fan on my MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI was dying a slow and noisy death. I replaced with this and will in no way appear back. Straightforward install. None.
