I bought this CPU as part of a Barebones Computer system.. I created a Windows Home Server. I told my online friends about the barebones system.. and they ordered the same item. Unfortunately, the motherboard is now on backorder.

Bought this one instead of the 4400 cause it was a few $$$ cheaper. Was surprised at how cool this CPU runs. Overall great performance for the price. But I should have bought one that includes a fan, it would have been cheaper.

This is way faster than the sempron 1.8Ghz that i had in my first build.Great for building on a budget.

so far I've built 4 PC's with these x2 5000 CPU's and they are quick and 2 pc's are a year old and one is 5 months old without a hickup so I would have to add reliable. definitely a recommend from me. oh yeah It kicks the crap out of my old xp2500 without breaking a sweat xp installs in a half an hour and boots in 48 seconds both times are half of the xp2500 machine I have.

Ill take AMD over intel any day. For me intel is too proud of thier product and it shows up in the price. I have a 5400+ and its been used alot over this past year, and she is still moving along. Save your money, ditch Intel and go AMD.

I built a PC with this CPU and other parts all from Tiger, several separate orders, and all but one arrived early the next day, with regular ground shipping. The one that didn't was because of a weekend order, and it arrived quickly Monday morning. I've had no problems running FL Studio, and I play a lot of Left 4 Dead with no problems at all, even when facing hordes (and that's a lot of processing). I actually have ordered two, because I forgot to lock my HSF into place the first time so the first one committed suicide, but that's my own fault. I replaced it with the same one.

They say you get what you pay for but in this case it's much much more. What a big diff. this has made. I'd never be able to go back to my old computer; I run so much faster and with such ease.

Installed this CPU in more than one PC. It has a great speed compared with other processors of same price-about 3 times as fast. What a deal. It even makes Windows Vista Premium look fast- a feat I did not think any CPU could do.

I have been running Intel mthboards for awhile but upgrade my wife's with an AMD and was impressed on how well it worked out. So I upgraded to one as well, for the price and power you can't beat it and I may never go back to Intel again...
