This was for a new build and I usually like intel but I thought I would try AMD and it is a great processor for the price. Its fast runs great. on a budget you cant go wrong.

I am sure this is a great CPU, however, it arrived with just about no packing other than a brief wisp of paper. Little more than the invoice. No pellets or airbags!

4 GB of ram, and a 2.9Ghz prossessor, make this board shine. Took me about an hour to put everything together, and the system booted right up.

I got this CPU in a bundle deal with a TA780G M2 board. No problems with the chip or the included fan. Decent performance for casual gaming and the scientific apps I use in my business.

I have 3 of these and no complaints, although I wish I seen the quadcore one for $100 , would have bought that instead, other then that Im loving it.

This was the first amd processor that I have purchased. Bought it along with a barebones kit from TD. Installation was smooth, came with heat sink, and fan, very please with the performance.

I had a AMD athlon 64 single core for years and loved it. Now its two in one. Its works well. Fast and strong. Sure there are other cpus out there and faster or stronger but also alot more money, and what do you really need it for? With my new computer I just built using this cpu, I go online, mess around with music, photos, watched movies, and I play games. (left 4 dead 2, fall out 3, GTA, etc) what else does one need to do??? So in other words, buy it.

The processor is only picked up as a single core by the motherboard it came with, came with no customer service number, and there is no hardware to install with it or on amd's website.

No issues with this CPU at all. Functioned perfectly from day one. No problems at all!

Have built 2 systems using the cpu, one vista and one xp pro. Both run fairly fast and temps below 28c at idle and never over 37c running photoshop or simular apps with stock cooler. Can bog if user gets click happy but always seem to recover well. Second cpu had a small dot of adhesive that dripped around the edge of the pcb onto one of the pins had to clean off to get cpu to seat flat on mb. Would buy again and recommend to budget pc builders.

This is great if you want to use windows 7 64 bit. I haven't tried it with games or video. Win 7 can slow the cpu down to 5 % which makes it run cooler with less fan noise.

I work with virtual machines a lot and do some sims on my comp, no gaming though. I have had windows 7, vista, and server 2008 running at the same time without this CPU even burping. Had to get a memory upgrade, but this CPU is solid.

This was a replacement for a $110 screw-up on another AMD CPU. (My fault) Both CPUs were A-OK, and worth the money spent. They went into the socket easily, and performed as advertised.
