price vs overall performance, this cpu does alot a lot more than I expected. My phenom 9850 benchmarks higher, but playing games this cpu will play something my old machine could play. this was a budget build with an ati 6850 and it has turned into my key computer. for the cost none truly, I knew what I was acquiring. and it did every thing I figured it would, judging from my old athlon 6400+ which has the 1 meg cache like this regor chip. I fairly well knew what it would do just before shopping for it. In general excellent cpu if you dont have to have cutting edge. stays awesome for me for hours of crysis at a time which is surprising due to the fact as pointed out elsewhere the stock cpu that comes with it it crazy small. then once more this cpu only puts off 65 watts worth of heat. with smaller circumstances with low airflow it could get a tiny hotter.

I have had this nearly a month. I am extremely pleased with this CPU. I am working with it in my HTPC. I wanted a ឱ Watt CPU for power/heat causes and this is plenty fast for a HTPC. I had a mATX AM3 board just sitting around for the project so this was a extremely inexpensive way to go for me. It is more quickly than the old AM2񴍠+ setup I had just before by really a bit.....and it draws much less energy and produces less heat! I only disliked the heatsink, I utilized the one particular from my 6000+ This CPU feels a lot faster than my old AM2 6000+. My HTPC boots four seconds faster and once I type my password, it is 2 seconds quicker. I know, not considerably but the old AM2 board died and I wanted a newer CPU with the AM3 board!I am extremely pleased with the acquire.

Purchased this chip in combination with an asus 785 board and they perform rather properly with each other. As talked about above I was much more than disappointed with the heat sink so I utilised a significant aftermarket copper heat sink with the fan disabled.The board/cpu/heat sink fit nicely into the antec p180 I bought the week ahead of and together they make an practically entirely silent program (you can hear the low RPM hard drives spin or hiccup from time to time).

You can't go wrong with this processor, excellent boost more than my Athlon 64 3500+...but keep in mind with this upgrade I also went from PC3200 to DDR3 1333 soo that helps also. :^D

It fit in the AM3 motherboard. Following considerably trial and error, I determined that this was the trigger of my new create's failure to post. Newegg issued an RMA, is shipping a replacement and I will give an updated overview when it arrives.

Price, performance, reliability, ease of install. Not a prime finish powerhouse. When developing a gaming computer or excellent all around desktop, examine evaluations and benchmarks. Low energy usage.Fantastic efficiency for a home Pc that isn't a gamer.Cheap. None, for what it is. Was a rare non-Newegg obtain. Rebuilt my Mom's old Pentium D with this, on an ASRock 770DE (which WAS from the Egg!). It is significantly more rapidly.Actually could take care of some games, but my Mom "may" play Flash and/or 2D games at times.

Great processor and easy to OC. I have it operating at three.six with the stock cooler and it idles at 30c. Runs swift and cool. If your looking for a great dual-core it run great. Only 2 cores and none to unlock, but you get what you pay for. If your searching for one thing fast and inexpensive for standard browsing and media streaming this is a well than capable CPU. If your seeking to play games or run video/editing apps I would go with a quad-core.

The box was sealed and not broken anyplace. I got this factor opened it up looked good and got the processor out of the package..looked at it ahead of install and six or so pins had been bent.....checked the package no dents or dings ,checked the plastic the CPU came in nothing..had to be damaged at the AMD factory...no sweat this is the first issue from AMD that let me down. UPS hadn't even updated there web page saying it was delivered ahead of I filled for a RMA

Cant wait to get it. About the contents of what comes with it, is there some form of thermal paste that comes with or do I have to acquire sep. I am constructing my own pc but employing some parts and case from old comp which is a HP a305w. The element is just the power supply which I hope is compatible with BIOSTAR A770E3 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard. Once again its from my other HP which is a 525w.

Wonderful price tag and very good efficiency. Runs cool at low wattage. Excellent efficiency in games like SC2 and HL2: Episode 2. There are better gaming chips but this one particular handles what I will need it to so far. None. No bent pins. Paired with an Asrock 870 Extreme3 (a Good mobo), Gigabyte 9800gt 1GB and 4GB RAM. Budget gaming/audio production rig, and quite pleased with efficiency beneath Win XP.

Good for any budget build. Works nicely with office software and older/simpler games.Dual core @ 3.two ghz! I hasn't granted me any wishes however :/ A quite nice upgrade if you nonetheless have an old single core laptop or computer. Price tag to performance ratio is amazing!

I can run at full voltage with no approaching the thermal threshold with anything I've run so far. It uses less power than the 3 core cpu I sold to get this. Not seriously impressed with what I guessed would be a dramatic heat reduction for the wattage drop from 95w to 65w. Non existent truly except for getting in a position to run at complete voltage but I shouldn't have to be concerned about that anyway. Comprimises for an itx box...not priceless. Cute or not itx systems have thier drawbacks. Waiting for the hardware fairy to drop an ssd in my lap and make every little thing better.

In a position to overclock to 4.02 GHZ 100% stable. Only 2 cores. This + ATI 5870 and games run quite nicely.

runs fast and cool , this new stepping appears to fix cool and quiet . eats thu my games just fine , and very good bang for the buck new egg , recommend you go back to your o;d packing approaches , recieved cpu form NJ warehouse boxed with paper rather of peanuts . I swapped this CPU from a athlon 2 quad at two.9 Ghz . The added cashe and clock speed realy aid VS additional cores . running XP pro so I dont need to have a quad . Older games dont know what to do with a quad anyway :D

Fantastic cost, rapid processor. None yet Temps hold at 94 degrees for those who like degrees rather of celsius. Working with ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro 92mm Ceramic CPU CoolerSeems like smaller fan/heatsink but, AMD warranty is only covered by working with OEM fan/heatsink.

Runs cool, runs quicker than you may anticipate, good value/performance None in reality - see beneath I threw the processor under the bus in a prior post and got an RMA. In reality the dilemma most likely owed to a jumper setting on the MB. The processor is operating fine just like just about every other AMD processor I've ever owned.

If you are questioning how quick this chip can be, let me tell you I can't see too a lot difference in between this 1 and my x4 B50 @ three.1 black edition. I can play any game without lag. No crossfire necessary, one radeon 4850 @ 1GB is additional than adequate. N/A What are you waiting for? get it! most of the present games doesn't take benefit of additional than two cores.
