Has plenty of speed for what I do. Software program installs swiftly. Multitasks properly, has good OCing capacity. In contrast to others' opinion of the stock heat sink, I think it's a superior style. Longer fins and less mass transfer heat faster. With good case airflow, high temps will not be a problem. Also, it's almost certainly much less pricey to make which helps preserve the cost down. Win for everybody! None ATM. Fan looked a little affordable, but it functions fine.

excellent inexpensive processor. will overclock 500 mhz on near stock voltage. runs cool employing cool and quiet. works in am2+ and am3 boards. none if you maintain in thoughts it's a spending budget processor mine is running at 3.69 at 1.45 volts. employing a hyper212 plus with smartfan set to turn on at 40 deg. C, most of the time the fan by no means turns on. will stay below 37 deg. C with the cooler operating passively! and my case only has typical airflow. paired with a gtx 460 it will game no challenge.

Low voltage, high speed, uncomplicated overclocking, comes with heat sink and fan. No additional cores to attempt to unlock, but I knew that when I ordered. This CPU + 4GB of 1333 RAM + 7200RPM drive = rapidly Linux Mint and openSUSE efficiency without having high temps or needing a high-wattage PS. MSI motherboard with on-board switches for overclocking brought the speed to three.84GHz with no increase in monitored temptemperature (ㅡC in my method). I'm incredibly pleased.

Okay low temps 22 degrees overclocked at 3500 with bus at 250 X 14, I overclocked that way to overclock the ram. I overclocked with ease to 4.02 or 4.03 and it booted and ran fine until i ran the windows experience then it crapped out blue screen, I know if I spent hours, I would almost certainly be able to maintain it stable but increasing volts and all, but I didnt really feel like it. 3.8 ghz was fine, but it wasnt as stable, then I decided on three.five simply because at that speed, the ram operates at 1000 rather of 800 and the 3.5ghz is a slight increase. I had an x2 6000 90 watt not the 125 watt which is rare and the ram stats had been much greater, but you could overclock any higher than 3.2 ghz, I have an x2 240 65 watt and it performs the identical or slightly less than the x2 260. I can play all games as usual. Amd is all that and a bag of poppycock. Amd is nice is what I am trying to say I like the reality that it has low temps uses low energy and does what I have to have it to do.The x2 6000 can be overclocked to three.two, and it flys as far as memory stats are concerned. it just utilizes a lot more energy stick with amd and keep your dollars to remain off the park bench due to the fact this country and world is going down down down.Safe your pennys Amd all the way please believe

1MB per core L2 cache. Stable and low power at 65W. Running Kubuntu and Windows XP nicely. The stock heatsink fan is quiet. The instructions for installing the heatsink was hard to read since of the light print. I bent some of the heatsink fins when I pressed the cam lever over to lock it into place. I could not discover heatsink installation directions on the AMD internet site. If it is there, it is properly hidden. :( I looked at some youtube vids to see how it is done.

Great little processor. Runs fairly cool and is incredibly quick in Win7. the included HSF is also incredibly quiet for being stock. Wish it was a quad core

Easy to put together, quite quickly, Effortlessly handles 32 Bit OS and 64 Bit Great Graphics card for normal use. Case Arrived Damaged, small bit of BIOS Setting upon start out up. HDMI out put would be nice

Replaced a AMD Regor 240 2.8GHZ processor with this one. Noticed a slight improvement in performance while playing Battlefield 2142. None I was just seeking for a little greater boast in performance and I got it.

Seriously reliable CPU specially for a budget construct. I over clocked this bad boy by growing the FSB from 3.2Ghz to 3.6Ghz with a stock fan. There are a lot better CPUs out there and if your willing to invest a bit a lot more you can simply buy a quad core but overall this isn't a poor investment at all. I havent had any troubles with it therefore far

Built an HTPC using this cpu. Handles windows 7 (64bit) like a champ. This is way more then enough processing power for everyday tasks like web browsing, email, etc.
