AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 3.0GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Comment:
6 core utilization is working great in Win 7 64-bit. I only use this program to run my games, such as COD Black Ops, Napoleon TW, Left For Dead 2, and so on. In common I've noticed I can max graphic setting in any game now, even when still using the identical video card. That is not anything I could do with my old Intel Duo, I would locate myself scaling back at occasions to get acceptable frames rates... but this CPU + an upgraded motherboard and I've noticed a large improvement. I am so incredibly pleased with the efficiency now. Absolutely nothing but eggs for the CPU. The stock fan is very loud. I had to go down an egg b/c the fan is too little for the quantity of heat generated by the Phenom two. It's a little 80mm fan that tends to make a lot of noise even throughout idle, so it's running pretty high RPM's already. It's the loudest fan in my case. When running games that need high performance, the fan is even louder- it sounds like a modest hand-held vacumn cleaner. I can even hear it when I'm wearing headphones! The 80mm fan is capable, but I consider the chip-maker wanted something that could fit any size case, so they opted for this tiny thing that tends to make a ton of noise. After working with the stock fan for a even though I decided to acquire the ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm heatsink/fan combo sold right here on Newegg.

Value! six Cores! Speed! This replaced my Intel Q9400, and boy did it speed issues up! Couldnt be happier! Havent discovered any yet. I see it has speed concerns when operating single-core tasks, as far as speed. But coming from an old Intel Quad core, I havent observed it at all. I purchased this with the Asus Evo MoBo combo, and it runs like a dream. I discover most people running idle around 25c, which I havent noticed in my setup. I removed the thermal paste from the stock heatsink and employed Antec Formula five, and I am operating an common of 38c idle. Havent tested load temps however. I plan on upgrading my heatsink, as properly as going with Arctic Silver paste, so I need to join the 25c club quickly. All in all, why would you waste funds on Intel 6 cores when AMD does it for less? Incredibly content with this guy!

This chip is excellent. I have absolutely nothing terrible to say at all. Stable from factory, and after a couple of minutes of BIOS settings, it's operating at 3700+ Mhz stable, with nary a crash. Turbo mode looks cool, despite the fact that I haven't tested it however. Exceptionally quick chip utilizing DDR3 memory for a excellent price tag. None! I don't know how precise the onboard thermal sensors are even though, because the temps on the cores only go up to low 40s under complete burn-in load. Program is watercooled, so that may have something to do with it, but I've in no way noticed temps that low underneath load. Significantly less than a 10C distinction from idle!

So I purchased this negative boy hoping to overclock it a little. I went from three. to three.5 simply. I've observed people today going up to 3.8 and 4 but something past three.five wouldn't perform for me but for the price tag? Yeah, i'm happy spending 200 bucks on three. let along 3.five. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118019 Get this with it and some Arctic Silver 5. Runs like a beast and not even remotely close to too warm. Um, I guess it won't cook your breakfast or clean up immediately after the youngsters. Get this. No, seriously, get it. Don't waste money on the BE. This issue overclocks very easily with the appropriate motherboard and you can get 3.five to four. out of it. Just get it.

Six physical cores @ three. GHZ ( three.5 with turbo core )Stays cool at stock settings ( idle at 21C with a high of 31C )Runs any game without having a hitch.Fits into any AM2 or AM2+ socket with a BIOS flash, so no need to have to acquire a new motherboard. No unlocked multiplier ( but this also isn't a black edition, so I knew that coming in )No hyperthreading.Nonetheless lags a bit behind Intel ( also a 1Ǚ of the value although ) All in all, this processor won't let you down. The 9MB of total cache will allow for simple and smooth ALT + TABing. If you're looking for a wonderful budget CPU, but don't want to sacrifice all of your overall performance, this is the excellent midrange CPU for your upgrade.

Cost-effective six core. All round this cpu performs substantially much better than lynnfield Weak single core efficiency. 125 watt TDP Massive up from brisbane 4000+. it is stable 3. @ 2.8 at 1.08 voltage and three.ʃ.five at 1.28. Cant compare to sand bridge now but it is nevertheless very good for all folks (maybe not for excessive challenging core gamer or people employing this for specialist function)

If you have the funds attempt and get the black edition so you have an unlocked multiplier, but thats really the only difference. stays at 39 Celsius beneath load in a space at 75 degrees F with stock cooler. Value, for specific; 6-cores for this small money is amazing. (Imagine what this would have expense even a couple years ago?) AMD has expanded on the Deneb core, and I think they did a fairly great job. Even in thread-limited applications, this processor performs much better than an equally clocked quad-core. (Handbrake is so satisfied now, even even though utilization never ever goes substantially above 67%.) The stock heat-sink is very similar to the 1 that came with my X2 6000+, it has a nice copper base with 4 heat-pipes. It also happens to be low-profile which is a plus for cramped environments.Turbo-Core is a neat feature, as extended as your motherboard cooperates and supplies appropriate voltage. (It will take it to the specified maximum, which is really a bit above idle) Even so, if you are like me and your motherboard feeds this CPU 1.five volts when Turbo-Core kicks in, you are better off disabling it. After some trial and error, I manually set the core voltage to 1.30v, and my motherboard still more than-volts it at load; quite strange. The only real con I can come up with is that there isn't proportionally much more cache when compared to the Deneb core. When encoding Xvid movies (Xvid only being able to use two threads, permitting for three encodes at a clip) I have to set the affinity for every single instance in activity manager or I get abysmal frame-rates due to cache-thrashing. Considering about in, 2MB was an odd amount for Agena's L3, 6MB was odd for Deneb, and sticking with 6MB for 6 cores is about as excellent as just obtaining 1MB of dedicated L2 per core. I know it would be additional pricey, but this chip actually should have double the L3 cache. I suppose items like enormous caches and four-concern wide instruction pipelines will have to wait for Bulldozer and 32nm. So no eggs off, just some stuff I had to do in the bios to get things set to a comfortable level. I truly have no plans on over-clocking this, I would have saved up a small additional and bought the BE if I wanted to mess about with all that stuff. I would really rather this build final as extended as doable. I can feel of no cause why this computer system, in some form or another, won't still be operating powerful in 10 years.A single last factor, (again a weird motherboard problem) even at ӭ.35v, this was reportedly heating up to 65C at load by the motherboard CPU sensor. Working with hardware monitor, the cores all reported drastically reduce temps, but just to be secure I decided to use the gift card Newegg graciously sent me to obtain greater cooling. Right after obtaining to re-seat the sink I ordered (it is sort of cheap, universal deal that is an absolute pain to set up correctly) the on-die thermometers reported about space temperature at idle. The motherboard sensor is nonetheless rather a bit off.

I cant anxiety how great of a processor this is for below 200 bucks. I got it as aspect of a combo deal with the Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H motherboard. Had it up and running within minutes. Mine idles at around 29 degrees, and the highest I've had it at is 38 degrees. So no concerns there. Windows Practical experience Index has this at about a 7.five for me. The scale only goes up to 7.9, so I'm happy with that. All cores were unlocked and recognized upon installation. None. Utilised to be an intel guy, now I'm definitely an AMD fan. Look up benchmarks on this issue; it outperforms numerous of the intel i7s (and at half the price). Get IT. ---AMD Phenom II X6 1075TGigabyte 880GA-UD3H 6GB Corsair DDR3 1600PNY 460GTX XLR8

Price + six cores, straightforward/stable overclocking (do your investigation 1st). none that I can at the moment consider of. I have owned this now for about 1 month. I have turbo shut off in bios (so all 6 cores are regularly on) and I have it O/C to three.6 with the windows 7 parking feature turned off (once once more so all 6 cores are regularly on and ready for information). Because I play World of Warcraft, which is primarily a cpu intenstive game - this chip with my present settings rock. video card = GTX 275 set to Ultra settings in WoW, averaging 70+ FPS everywhere.
