I hammered this processor with ArmA two on highest video settings. With a liquid cooler and overclocked to about three.eight, this CPU did not get above 44 degrees when handled. Only scored a 7.three on Windows Knowledge. Guess a 4. is fantastic for the 7.9, maybe! I don't know what all the 6 cores can do, but it handles ArmA two, awsomely!

I'm a student and I do a lot of 2DǙD function (animations/vfx/etc.) I just upgraded from a method utilizing the AMD Athlon x2 three.2GHz and the results are clear. renders take only ten-20% of the time my old machine takes. value/performance is outstanding. none so far decided on this processor over the Phenom II x6 1090T to splurge a small. The efficiency is equivalent.

4125mhz all cores! runing it on an Asus crosshiar II 780a sli board. FSB﫺 for HT 2500mhz. had to bump the voltage to 1.50 but it's quite stable I'm operating agreements zelman hs/fan temps under no circumstances more than 38-40c. 6 cores, multi threaded madness. Low price tag. Stock cooler sucks, and it gets incredibly loud. Not substantially overclock headroom, but you genuinely dont need it. Employing ASUS M4A79XTD EVO, computer probe reported 55 degrees Celsius running prime 95 in spot significant fft's. I busted out an old Zalman cnps9700 w/ AS-five and it dropped the idle temps from 39 to 28. Below load right after 30 minutes temps dropped from 55 to 42. Start out off on some benchmarks running OC at three.7 on all cores. I went to 3.7 via bios. Anything about it is a pro.. I have it running incredibly simply at three.8 have had it all the way to 4.four. It is rapid and having the extra cores is excellent if your multitasking or video editing anything that makes use of the multi-cores. Handles the demo of Shogun two Total War effortlessly but does not use all 6 cores, as opposed to my i7 920 construct which makes use of all 8 "cores" and runs considerably greater FPS (between 40-80fps higher) with similar GPU and way much less load on the cpu. There's not a lot to say other than it's blisteringly swift! Really like this processor. Stock cooler isn't that fantastic, have some additional thermal paste on hand. Also, it might not be a negative notion to check into the 1090T as this a single is the similar just tuned up a tiny bit. I've had some issues keeping this CPU cool under load (all 6 cores @ 100%). I feel some of it has to do with the stock cooler not being that wonderful and the lack of enough thermal paste coming with it. I've currently planned on a new cooler ahead of I purchased this, no biggie.

Bought this to replace a Phenom II 4x 2800. I had a couple of hundred bucks to kill so I thought I'd try it... Is significantly faster on Fallout 3, Flight Sim X. I bought a new Vid card and SSD thinking that they were the bottlenecks: turns out it was the CPU... Total system, way faster.

I bought this in a bundle deal for about $300 so I have to give it some props as to the price performance ratio. But I got relatively little performance gain from a core i3 2100. But after overclocking to 4Ghz I did see an improvment. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good video editing processor. This will really shine for heavily threaded applications and with a better cooler I have no doubt I couldave got it to at least 4.5Ghz.
