Cons:None to speack of

Pros:Keeps cool, even with stock fan.

I bought this processor as part of a bundle, with an MSI 890FXA-GD65 motherboard.Highest temperature of the cores keeps under 40°c, dipping as low as 35°C.Moved up from Black Box Athlon 5000+ / ASUS A8N-E

I bought this AMD processor for my 1st construct. It operates with no issues. Overclocked it to 4.00 and the temp was at 36 idle. Working with Thermaltake bigwater 760i to keep it cool. Games look fantastic on this build. don't know how considerably the cpu has to do with that but I am confident it can take some of the credit. Could not overclock cpu more than four. with out it getting unstable. This was a disappointment mainly because I was told that four.1 was reasonable with this cpu. To make things worse now that I have my ddr3 going at 2000 the best I can get the cpu is three.75. I did not deduct an egg mainly because of my lack of expertise with overclocking. Its most likely a thing I am carrying out. It normally is. My new build is wonderful. My wei score is 7.. the CPU score is 7.6.Asus crosshair iv extreme mtoherboardamd 1100tCorsair dominator 2x4g 2000mhz ddr3radeon 6979ocz vertex 2 ssdsamsung F3 1TB hhd

Cons:The only thing is maybe price, it's only $65 less then the 8150 FX

Pros:Fast x 6 , Easily overclockable
Comment:
Very fast AMD CPU, I was able to get a fast OC of 4.0 MHZ but if I put effort into it I could go higher. This chip is also great for multitasking and the games run smooth.

Cons:No noticeable difference to its quad core equivalent.

Pros:Fast.Very overclockable.

I have this on a Crosshair V. Great chip but I haven't noticed any advantage over a quad core. In short, if you are looking for a chip you can ultimately overclock well over its base speed, this one works wonderfully.

This is the ONLY Phenom II I have owned that overclocks really effectively!I was shocked that with moderate voltage on vCore and CPU=NB this thing will simply reach 4.2 GHz ྸ%).Corsair H50 Push/PullPRIME95 max load ឧCThats awesome and just what I was hoping. None really. The standard heatsink/fan will be fine for 15% overclock with great case cooling, but I suggest replacing it with any decent This is worth the upgrade from 4ǜ core Phenom II's. A lot far better than the 3.3 GHz stated performance increase indicates.

Good price for the item - results only marginally beneath the ideal of Intel's, and you won't notice the difference in anything 99.999% of the population makes use of on a normal basis - and you aren't spending a grand! Uncomplicated to overclock, and high efficiency out of the box. None I recommend the H50 water cooler by Corsair - works like a dream with this. OC'd CPU still runs under 30C under load!

Ok, I know I haven't had this incredibly lengthy, but it don't take lengthy to realise the power of this poor boy. I've been a faithful AMD user considering that the early athlons and although I was fairly disappointed with the 1st Phenoms that had a bad commence to them, I continued to remain with AMD. Well, this processor is AMDs major comeback. I do mainly 3D work in 3D Studio Max at house so I can't review on how it does in games, but for anybody who knows what the vray renderer is, this processor has cut my rendertimes, literally in half. And I was making use of a phenom ii x4 940 prior to this. But that two extra cores and bumped up speeds from three.3 to three.6 gave a big distinction. To all those men and women who say the two added cores is useless since most apps don't take advantage of them want to believe once again. Seems the people today who will benefit most from the 6 over 4 cores would be the ones who do 3D work. Overall, I'm 100% happy and don't regret spending the cash at all. Trust me, if you're into 3D function, it's more than worth it. It's a six core phenom at 3.3 stock and low-cost to boot. what could be soo negative about that? Following reading a lot of reviews I realised a lot of men and women talking about getting to flash their bios to get the two added cores recognized. I'm not certain what that was about. This popped suitable into my new ASUS M4A79T board that I just got, fired it all up and recognized all six cores with no bios update. Possibly I just misunderstood the whole BIOS update cause.

6 Cores, nicely priced, very easily overclockable to 4Ghz. None as of but. Upgraded to this from a Phenom II X4 940 BE and seriously didn't know what to expect, Boot up is quicker and load occasions are nonexistent. Can hit 4ghz easily and stable, absolutely nothing bad to say about this cpu.

Almost everything, it ate the Windows 7 install for a snack. The stock fan sucks. After 15 mins playing Battlefield Bad Company two the CPU temp was up to 53 degrees Celsius. I swapped it out with a 3rd party cooler and now it runs between 40-42 degrees. Other than that this processor is worth just about every cent.

Very Good and stable processor! simple overclocking, plays all my games without having no complications really rapid and smooth. If you are comparing this to Intel i7 920, 930 or 950 8 cores in reality it's only running four cores 'quad cores' mainly because intel processors have threads and what that does is they input a program on their chip to double there cores it's a software program controlled, so 4 cores + 4 software comtrooled cores. On the other hand we all know that AMD is 100% 6 cores raw energy! meat and potatoes pure hardware 6 cores! in computing environment HADRWARE is also quicker a lot more reliable less crashing than Software program! None! and here is a different thing to feel about I did my investigation on Processor Supporting memory the Intel i7's CPU can only deal with 1033-1333 DDR3 memory chips and for AMD 6 cores exact same 1033-1333 DDR3 so that indicates it does not matter if you buy DDR3 PC2000 or DDR3 1600 these processors will down grade to their own speed of 񟝹-1333Mhz' so don't wast your dollars on high end DDR3 PC2000 it's pointless, obtain DDR3 PC1600 is excellent adequate! Here is what AMD techs have tested about AMD Cores Vs. Intel Threads:ConclusionBased on the results of the Cinebench® and PovRay® benchmark tests, we discover that physical cores outperform enhanced threading software in specific applications. Though direct outcomes will always differ upon the system configurations applied, we come across that a microprocessor’s physical core count to not only be an important element to contemplate in the obtain of a new PC, but also enhances its longevity. My Gaming RIG:AMD 1100t overclock to three.8 stableAsus Crosshair IV Extreme AMD 890FX AM3 MotherboardADATA DDR3 PC20001TB WD 64mb cache dual processor difficult drive 7200 rpm1 EVGA GTX 580 SC video cardCooler Master HAF 932 full towerThermaltake 850 watt 80+gold PSUDVD writer lightScribeAsus DVD playerWater Cooled CPU བྷ View Sonic 1ms gaming MonitorAMD rock ON! usually and forever be AMD fan.

I got this OC to 4100Ghz at 1.45v Prime95 stable. I can push it furthure but will need to increase voltage therefore increasing heat. I am running this on an older AM2+ Motherboard so not getting the full potential of the CPU, but huge performance increase in Battlefield 3 compaired to my Phenom II 940 at 3.7Ghz. My peak load was 92% not I get max 72% in 64 players maps on Battlefield 3. No more studder during major action in the game. An Awsome buy for under $200.

Insanely rapidly! Don't get me incorrect, you do require to use programs that know how to use multicores. World wide web exploder is not 1 of them. Nor any net browser for that matter (they use only two cores), so don't expect too significantly out of surfing the web. Converting avi's to DVD is Wonderful. Converting CD to MP3's is much better but limited to the speed of your CD-ROM. wasn't 8 cores or 16, or 32. This was twice as rapid converting with Nero 10 than my Quad Core Q6600, thats all I expected, and it created me happy that I made this acquire. Had my Q6600 for 3 years waiting for some thing this quickly. Sandra benched it at 63. my Q6600 was 34.6

More rapidly than any CPU I have ever employed, but I expected that.Runs cool with my corsair hydro none works excellent for me. Purchased this when they announced the sandy bridge processors had issues with the chip set.I also used a corsair hydro h70 rather of stock cooling and idle I get temps about 18C during extreme gaming and other processor high end stuff I dont come close to maxing out and I get like 30C.I check my temps with core temp.
