Good product, but what else can you anticipate from APC? It's smaller than I expected, excellent length cord allowed me to move it out of the way.The software program that comes with the product is straight to the point and not confusing, excellent for organization clients. In theory this is 1 solid UPS, produced by a great company for a wonderful price, thats why I purchased it. New egg was excellent, I do have to say APC tech support was entirely leading notch when I did call them the 1st time they were amazing and returned calls when they say they will. I guess I got a bad unit. Although out of the box it had a excellent manage audit slip, this unit was NOT operating to spec. Its battery would occasionally would not charge when plugged into the wall leaving power schute to auto hybernate my personal computer (at the worst attainable moment) Whats worse is that it did the total opposite of what I bought this issue for.. randomly at occasions it just cut power to my whole program for no cause at all, the battery didnt even come on, absolutely nothing. I dont know what was up with this unit. I named new egg, they had been understanding and agreed to RMA even though it was past the 30 day limit. New egg was great, I do have to say APC tech support was completely leading notch when I did contact them the initial time they had been great and returned calls when they say they will. I just didnt have the patientce to attempt another unit. I actually think I hit the negative luck lottery, from what I understand APC is a good company, I hope other prospects dont have the same experience I did.

Fantastic at keeping my rig operating when the 20 amp breaker tripped. See other thoughts Not so good to find out the battery backup crawling with ants in the course of the winter. They must like warm batteries. I had to throw it simply because of all the ants

It's operating properly, the moment once again content with APC. I'll most likely be ordering a second to replace my aging APC UPS on my main method. This newer model has a far more compact and rounded appear compared to my other one, a great improvement. None I'd like if it had perhaps two additional outlets, but they almost certainly don't add too numerous so as to not overload it.

Bought this to use on my storage server, I have 4 harddrives, a single core AMD sempron and onboard video. I get about 17 mins of runtime. Alarm does get annoying. Did not acquire this unit from Newegg, Bbuy had a sale on them for ์.

Worked for many months. Each of them. Surge protection does not perform nicely...I routinely have brown-outs and it does not shield the personal computer from the low voltage and the pc crashes. With total electrical outage the computer practically goes down Each and every time. This goes for Either of the TWO battery backs I purchased! 9 months old and the first battery died. About 14 months the second battery died. Also one outlet which is not surge protected nor battery backed up does not operate. I bought two of these backups. In the past APC made high top quality items. NEITHER of these two units are "trust worthy" of guarding your computers. APC did make the initially unit fantastic, but I had to spend the shipping to them. Prior I generally suggested this business for the high quality merchandise. All of my trust has been lost. Typical crashing of my computer systems is not suggested. I will not purchase any a lot more of their merchandise. The second unit is now employed for an extension cord. (the second one with the poor battery)

Good create high quality, Low value. APC assistance has often treated me effectively. When running off battery alarm will continue to go off till the battery is dead. Only 8 total outlets. I get 6 mins of run time on my Computer ( 21.5" HD, two 4850's, two Sata HDD's and a phenom 920) I use them at perform primarily even though. Purchased these from bbuy at a lower cost although.

Product works great, and comes with a 3 year warranty apposed to the declared two year warranty I was expecting. None More affordable than buying from APC and came with free of charge shipping.

Great form factor. Charged overnight, disconnected from major, ran seven seconds and died. Lather, rinse repeat. Returned. Trying Tripp-Lite. Exact same unit at function fails in the course of power hits. Move your operations offshore at your customer's peril...

Inexpensive. Generally works. APC tech support is fantastic. Occasionally it works....but at times it doesn't. It operates far more typically then it doesn't, but when it fails when, that is too a lot of occasions for a UPS and defeats the goal in getting a battery backup. As a single instance, but not an isolated incident - the other day I had two quick power outages inside 5 minutes. The initially lasted only a second or less. sufficient to see the lights blink. Almost everything on my UPS rebooted. With everyone back on-line 5 minutes later I lost power again for in all probability ten-20 seconds, this time it worked just fine and kept every thing up. From the other reviews I see I'm not the only person to knowledge this, my guess is a QA concern with this model. APC normally tends to make some quite fantastic stuff.

When it operates, it can maintain my Mac Pro and router on battery power for ㅇ minutes. Shutdown software program operates perfectly. I should have a faulty UPS - every single couple of weeks, it cuts off all power output to devices plugged in & sounds a extended solid alarm tone. The power outlet that the UPS is plugged has no troubles (power didn't go out), pressing the circuit reset button on the UPS does absolutely nothing, and unplugging the UPS from the wall doesn't work either.As soon as the tone starts, power is cut to my laptop or computer, causing it to shut down instantly. Right after rebooting, the computer software tells me that the UPS nevertheless has 100% battery. Waiting to hear back from APC regarding fixing this - hope it goes smoothly.

Stable energySuperior wattage for the price Annoying beep?Basic Computer software. Did the job last night when I lost power. I have one particular on my WHS and networking gear and a single on my property theater setup. The computer software shut down my server safely with no interaction whilst keeping the network gear running for at least an hour. The other kept my cable STB from loosing all the settings and my HTPC stayed on standby till the power came back.

Works superior so far. Power outage this morning, wasnt on the computer but booted it up just to see and almost everything worked fine. Very good UPS for low power technique. 4 battery backed up outlets, and 4 surge suppresed outlets. Would buy again. I found it somewhat tough pushing the plugs into the outlets. Could just be a fluke. Not too much of a con. This is too good to be true but the software it comes with says my personal computer has 33 mins of run time. I locate this difficult to think as I have a 400 watt PSU, 7200 RPM HDD, HD 2600 XT vid. card, and a dual core cpu. I don't believe i had a monitor plugged into it when I read that stat so I guess that would cut the back up time substantially. On another note this was a Black Friday steal at office depot for only ศ.99 no rebates or anything! The battery replacement is alot additional than that. I should have purchased two or three and sold them if I knew they had been promoting for ์.

Excellent backup device, See cons below... Lack of Wall mount makes this a deal breaker! Come on APC you have allways had wall mounting holes, why adjust a very good factor?

Price. Thats ALL. 1. Poor battery 2. Replacement battery is 100mA much less three. Replacement battery expenses as much as the unit. four. Alarm sounds at random. I'm an electrician who studied as an electronic tech. The fault is in the programming in the proms. Just do a search on the net of "alarm still sounds right after battery replaced".I couldnt even fix mine. Ive fixed almost everything else ive EVER touched in my profession.

Low-cost No Vista support included. Software included with unit does not support Vista. You can muddle your way through APC's site and discover the software program to download for Vista, but you have to register prior to you can download. Registration requires your telephone number. No thank you.

This is a good UPS particularly when you can get it for under ุ. It has a user replaceable battery and Ɣ) UPS outlets Short battery time with larger systems, Just sufficient to safley get to a stopping point save and shut down. I'm working with this as a perpherials backup. I have my modem, router and ooma telephone program on it so this unit will last for hours in outages so my telephone and net / network will nonetheless be alive. whilst working with a larger UPS for my PC so do your worse power outtage.

I ordered this for my new computer, and we had a power flicker just a few hours after I set it up! It worked perfectly. There is software included that will let you check the status of the battery and tell the unit what to do if it loses power (such as turn off the computer). Very useful! Two things to note: 1) Make sure you connect the battery! There's a note on it to do this, but just in case you get in an unwrapping frenzy, you have to turn it over and slide the cover off in order to do that. 2) Only 4 of the outlets are powered by the battery- the other 4 are JUST surge protection. So if you want more than 4 items plugged into the battery, you may want to upgrade to a different model! It works perfectly for me though!

I originally bought this to hook up to our home server that died during a power outage, but we never ended up buying a new server (yet). So I haven't tested this out with a PC or used the program to auto shutdown the PC, look at power, etc. (which is awesome). But I do have this plugged into 2 routers and a modem and it's been working perfectly since it was plugged in. We've lost power a couple times (not for too long though) and still able to use the internet (on my laptop) throughout the whole outage.Definitely a great UPS, and APC is known for reliable products.

Cost, versatility, reliability None that I can believe of. I had some PC's that had been having their USB ports blownout with power surges. All of that stopped when I implemented these. Great item!

Works fantastic. Power goes out and the personal computer as effectively as router and modem stays on! Tells you that the battery requirements to be replaced from time to time when it works perfectly fine. If this takes place simply totally discharge the battery by unplugging the unit and then plug it back in at 1% power. Forces you to use hibernation mode when you would rather choose other choices.Make certain your pc has a 450 watt power supply or less or this unit will be very good for creating sure you can save every little thing and effectively shut down your laptop or computer.

Currently using this to protect my PC, monitor, modem and router which is using around 170Watts. Runtime on battery is about 12mins. Keep in mind only 4 of the sockets are battery protected. This model does not show you the current load (in wattages) like other ones do. Also, there is no self-test option, you have to physically unplug from wall to test it.
