This has been in a cobbled up Dell Dimension 4550 that I upgraded a GPU in since 2007. Constant power, never ever had issues, and was a incredibly inexpensive fix for the tail end of an AGP box's life-cycle. None I had to carve up the back of my case to get the power provide flush with the switch on the back. 99% of aftermarket PSU's have these, but like I said I was cobbling some upgrades for a Dell maching intended for home email/internet browsing and creating it a thing it's not.

Worked excellent for a couple of years with my 9800gt which only needed one gpu power supply. 500 watts must have been enough for my 460gtx but it blew out by the second day. Proper following installing the card I couldn't get any signals from the video card. Soon after pulling my hair for a even though it turned out that 1 of the lines wouldn't provide any power. Given that the empty wire was dead, I utilized a GPU power splitter to tap off of the one supplying my hard drive. Factors worked great when testing out GTA4, Crysis, and Saints Row2 but inside a minute of operating furmark my computer completely died. Now I'm back to the lousy 300watt Dell OEM supply and onboard video.

Absolutely none, plugged it in and didn't power my computer. There was sufficient voltage to light the LEDs, but not enough to even power the case fan. I had to use another 500 watt power provide to get my pc working.

It worked great, for 4 months. It was affordable, and even cheaper soon after the rebate. It only worked four months.Once you cut out the upc for the rebate it becomes non-returnable.I'm out the funds for a power provide that only lasted four months. Guess I need to have spent a little much more and gone for better excellent.Forget the rebates, they void the warranty. Manufacturer Response:You can do an RMA through us for the power provide to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. Worked fine at very first. Affordable. Died right after 26 days. I was playing an old game (Neverwinter Nights 2) and the system shutdown and never ever came back. Have had it for three years and generally use the laptop or computer about 5 days a week for about 5 - 6 hours a day. Runs quiet. Just upgraded my computer system except for Case and Power Supply. Has several plugs, a little bit of every thing and 500 watts. Only has 2 sata energy plugs. Bought an adapter for a couple of dollars and I am set for the future. My case has fantastic air flow. Never any heat troubles.

Low-cost - operates Puts out a lot of electrical noise. I can hear it over my household intercom method. I don't know how to judge the "electrical noise" level of a PS before purchasing it. This one operates - but I might have to replace it. I emailed the organization for any thoughts - NO REPLY from OEM. Never a great sign Manufacturer Response:If you need help with the power supply, you can get in touch with Apevia's client service at service@apevia.com or call at 鿍) 718-0789. It worked proper when i turned on the pc. Every little thing turned on with no a hitch. Its bland in color, and not that aesthetically pleasing. If you are making a computer to exactly where you can see inside of it, this could not be the energy provide for you. Its bland and it is just the fundamental aluminum box with a fan on the back and on the bottom with all of the essentials inside.

Affordable cost but... It may possibly be inexpensive but you pay return shipping if it fails. ş was professionally installed and died soon after three months. Š lasted 1 month. š failed immediately after two days. All failures occurred although PC was standing idle and program is not overclocked.I didn't return š and bought a different brand with overall better evaluations and fewer 1 egg ratings. Norman at Apevia was quite accommodating and useful but he didn't know why the units continued to fail on the Dell Dimension. He personally tested the rails on the return units ahead of shipment. The unit's specs were within Dell's acceptable range and supplied much more power than the new graphic card necessary. Mystery unsolved but the aggravation wasn't worth the cost paid (original expense plus return postage on 2 units).

I previously wrote a evaluation stating that the energy supply died specifically 1 week after the warranty expiration, nonetheless, Apevia is offering to replace it anyway. I believe it is downright decent of them to replace a component that is not under warranty. If the new PSU works properly, I will be getting from Apevia in the future. It did die which is not optimal... but if they replace it with a working unit, it's all superior.

Affordable, lasts a long time A small noisy. I purchased this PSU in February 2008 and use it fairly much each day in my key machine for playing games (Team Fortress two, GTA3 via four, HL2, L4D, L4D2, and so on) and just general PC stuff, both in Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP. I've had no issues with it at all. It's now October 2010 and I really feel quite great that I got steady use out of it for nearly three years. It hasn't been applied lightly.

The reviews are really useful. Read them, specially the bad ones. Good for a fast laugh. Might die, explode, fry, frizzle, sizzle, detonate, or any of a number of issues computers usually DON'T do. I'd hate to be the guy that has to go by means of all the negative reviews and post a copypasta manufacturer response. I'd hate to have his job.

This is a very good, standard power supply. Its noise level is about right for the price: not too loud and not definitely silent either. It has a separate GPU energy plug, which is good While the cables appear well created and lengthy, there are only two SATA connections. You'll most likely will need an adapter if you have a couple of devices in your laptop or computer.
