fantastic searching case case arrived by ups, not damaged but DOA case would not energy up,maybe energy supply damaged. Manufacturer Response:It is doable that the power supply was turned off by default at factory. If you have not already performed so, eliminate the front panel and check to make positive that the power switch is set to the on ( | ) position.

Excellent case for the money. Pretty quiet and the wife loves it. You have to have an incredible amount of patience to put this together (which I lack). I followed the directions inside since I have never ever put together a micro atx technique prior to. I ended up removing stuff following I installed it to put in other stuff! 1: Make confident you turn on the PSU when you remove the front of the case.two: Remove the PSU and set it aside while you are operating on it. Put it in last. three: Strategy out every little thing initial. Use the instructions as a guide, not a gospel. I think I would have saved a ton of frustration and time had I preplanned anything.

Ingenious style that makes it possible for u to fit a ton of gear in such a small box. It is the excellent size for your typical Television cabinet. It actually looks sharp as soon as it's all put together. The develop top quality is on par with your standard twenty dollar case. It's flimsy with LOTS of sharp edges. My biggest knock has absolutely nothing to do with the case itself but Newegg's exuberant shipping price for the item. I paid that plus the added for rush processing and the item nonetheless didn't arrive on time. If your applied to getting in a position to throw a pc together quickly you'll locate that won't be the case for this case. It'll take you an afternoon to get it together. So clear sometime in your schedule and get some band-aids. Even though its a discomfort to get back in get rid of the energy supply just before adding your gear and if you strategy on employing your own energy provide get a modular 1. Also if you strategy on adding optional 120mm fans on the sides do so before you put in your motherboard.Contemplating the develop top quality the case it is overpriced IMHO but it caters to a niche market place and your options will expense 3x this. With that stated I do recommend the case.

case looks amazing. energy supply DOA. i knew i was taking a risk ordering it. i will be buying a name-brand power provide and installing it into this case, not worth the trouble of an RMA. i'm not completely unhappy. i got this on sale with discounted shipping, and even immediately after getting a new power provide, i will have only spent about 贄. this attractive case with a high-quality power provide is worth that, i suppose. Manufacturer Response:You can do an RMA by means of us for the energy provide to get an exchange on the PSU if you are nonetheless below our warranty period. Oh man, the case is cool searching appreciate the brushed metal in the front and the contrast of the bright reflective black paint on the back. The thing looks just like one significant stunning DVD player. It's larger than I expected and really roomy inside. I have a pretty low tolerance of patience, but I'm developing this Computer portion by portion - and it's fairly uncomplicated to operate with, I feel. It's by no implies as major a mid case but it's surely Significantly bigger than an HTPC case. I was hoping I would of been an exception, but, nicely, the PSU is total junk. It's type of a luck of the draw thing. I recieved this case and a biostar Tseries board simultaneously and I had to see if the PSU worked right away (based on some of the reviews). I set the mobo and hooked just the energy up to the PSU. The power button on the board wouldn't perform so I did a screw-driver start up and it worked. Later though I hooked every thing else up fans and so on and I employed the case button to begin and BUZZAP-SIZZLE, then smoke. The capacitors gave out on me and hopefully didn't do damage to the board. So in sum, if you feel you'll be an exception to the rule of poor-craftsmanship when acquiring this combo just take heed and toss an extra more trustworthy brand PSU into your cart. And to any individual else out there that might of had a faulty PSU, effectively, now rather of ignoring you, I really feel ya'.

The only upside to this case is that some engineer tried his/her very best. The downside is that they failed miserably. This case is poor. It was brief on motherboard mounting standoffs and the front cover looks way too toylike and is fully plastic. It was also dented on arrival. I was able to conceal the dent by positioning it against a wall vertically. It was not worth the effort attempting to invest five hours with client assistance which is based in Asia, and who can't speak English. I ultimately just threw the junk case away. I would not advise this item to Anybody. Manufacturer Response:If you will need support with 1 of our merchandise, you can contact Apevia's United States branch. APEVIA Black / Silver X-MASTER-AL/500 ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
Comment:
It's extremely roomy for an HTPC case. This is my very first 1, but all the others I've observed won't fit a full sized mobo. It looks like one thing that must be in an entertainment center and I really like the power button clickiness. It has room for 2 challenging drives and 2 optical drives which is far more than any HTPC need to will need. The front panel and drives are a small weird to figure out. I commonly put drives in through the back, specially with the additional wide screwless stuff, so putting them in by taking off the front panel was distinct. There were a few too several cables on the power supply, but it wasn't too large of a deal. It's not supposed to have fan lights. That would be pretty distracting when you're watching tv. Also, some people today said the power supply was worthless, but it runs what I need to have it to. Here's what I put in it:Pentium D at two.8ghz (not overclocked)three gb ramtwo - GeForce 7300gtSATA dvd burnerSATA hard drivelow-cost television tuner

Comment:
Looks excellent. Front is brushed AL, sides are painted steel. The components are effectively created and sturdy. I believe the front-mounted PSU is neat and it's quiet. The optical drive door works without having a hitch. The price is excellent for what you get...assuming every little thing continues to function as it is now. The front panel power LED is too bright. The HDD LED is too dark. When I utilised the front panel USBs for an external HDD, the audio from the front panel was quite noisy (strange squealing noise). I'd like an further air vent on the left(top) of the case. The case feet included are sticker-applied, so you are kind of stuck once you pick your case orientation. I believe I keep in mind some other reviewers saying the front panel is a discomfort, but I did not uncover it tough or annoying. The PSU switch is off from the factory, and you have to get rid of the front panel to switch it on, so flip it more than when you are installing your optical drive and HDD.I Love the way the energy button really feel when you press it. *clicky*clicky*clicky* I want to press it over and more than. :P

Comment:
For an HTPC with 500W energy supply, it's dirt inexpensive. The appear is one of a kind, and in contrast to most cheap case/PS combos, the energy supply doesn't sound like a hair dryer. Energy supply died inside 3 days. Could just be a bad unit, it does happen. Apevia is swapping it out for me. The power button is a pretty poor style. It's made to pop out of the socket into the case (no idea why), and the clasp that holds it in location just doesn't cut it. Push it even a hair too tough and the whole switch pops into the case, and you have to pull the bezel to put it back in spot. The energy supply is mounted inside the case, with the AC outlet facing the back side of the front bezel, and basically an extension cord running from it to the back of the case. IT SHIPS WITH THE Energy SUPPLY SWITCH IN THE OFF POSITION. I don't contemplate that a con, virtually all power supplies with a switch ship that way, but you have to pull the front bezel to get to the switch. It appears most men and women don't realize that and call it DOA.

low profile, parts fit fine. Power supply put out 1 volt much less on all leads. Someting also wrong with case switch. Finish looks like it will scratch straightforward. Moter board would now energy up all the way with a great power supply in case. I removed parts from case and powered everything on table. Sent back with RMA.

Fantastic cost, especially because it comes with a 500W PSU. This case has lots of room for a full ATX board and a full size video card. Decent airflow, but I added a 120mm fan to the side of the case for a bit additional. The paint on the metal parts of the case will scratch off if you aren't cautious. I knew about this ahead of time and still managed to scratch it a few times, but this isn't a major deal. Cable management is a bit tough due to the fact of the location and orientation of the PSU. The PSU with my case arrived in working condition. Don't forget to turn the PSU switch on before powering up your PC and freaking out mainly because you believe you got a faulty 1. The power LED is a genuinely bright blue, but that is uncomplicated to remedy by unplugging or covering it. The fans in the case are not LED fans, which is very good considering that this is an HTPC for the living room.

Looks good! Almost everything fit! Cooling! Not a fan of little fans! Removed installed fans, installed 1 120mm on side, cut hole in top cover, and ducted so CPU fan draws in outside air for extra cooling. MB controlled, so silent & cool! (both with filters) Modulator PS would be good to get rid of unneeded wires! Replaced with one I had laying about! On lamp is Quite BRIGHT as other people have mentioned! Piece of tape works here, not a biggie. Take some extra time and Program how you are going to install points, and it works! (Still doesn't run as cool as my CM 690, BUT not as significant and not the air-flow)

1)It fits ATX mother board and full size video card2) low in price and come with a 500W power supply what can you ask for?three) the black completed is fairly excellent if you don't scratch itfour) Sufficient room for two ř.25 drive and 2 difficult drive ( 1 verticle and 1 horizontal5) both leading and bottom are operational.. so u can access the port for the motherboard a lot effortless. 1) not actually a HTPC case, it merely a "older desktop style" case rather than a mid tower. HTPC are really should have a far more receiver look... this is not. ( Individual selection) two) too deep to be a HTPC due to the fact most of the the men and women will not have a 20" deep Tv stand for a LCD Tv (if you are making use of on all new funiture, not a upgrade from your old major Television; I rather to have it wider than deeper) 3)Blue LED is super bright.... possibly ask your mom/ gf for a deep nail paint to tune it down.4) only 2 SATA power outlets I have two optical drive and 1 challenging drive (that could be fixed by obtaining adapter) 1) make sure you checked your screws and inserts... they offer 9 inserts for the MB which is typical but only 6 screws that will fit in the insert. I pretty much stripped when I utilized the wrong screw. great factor that I have saved some extra screw from my old function shop2) Small fans are not truly for massive air flow motion...but they are very... if you planned to face the back side against a wall.. superior flip the fan as intake and add a 120mm fan on the side.

Quite nice design. Looks are nice and the finish on the case is appealing. Incredibly thrifty use of space in the case, impressive layout for a ATX style. Apevia has problems finding their hands on great power supplies apparently. This my 3rd Apevia case in the last 2 months and the power supplies are just dreadful. It's not worth returning since I honestly don't want yet another one from them (not to mention the inconvenience). This last PSU I took apart and I'm astounded at what I saw. It's apparent they have a talented designer, but the whoever assembled it did a horrid job. There is solder literally everywhere. Short circuits that just had to of destroyed the few IC's and possibly most of the transistors in the circuit. Even if you manage to get a working condition PSU, I can attest that Apevia's PSU's are not up to handling a modern day setup reliably. I don't risk it with the stock PSU's anymore, it just leads to extrememly hard to track troubles. While they are thrifty is space usage and the PSU placement is fascinating, it is way too complicated to get the front cover off of this case. Which is essential to get to the PSU screws. I wish they would have left the PSU out of the deal, taken ฤ off the cost of the case and thought the front cover removal method by way of a small much more. It's a nice case otherwise with no foreseeable ventilation issues (unless you're just packing the case full). My suggestion would be to pass up the junk PSU and order another 1.
