Lots of vents. Spot for further 120mm fan in front and 80mm fan on side ࿰mm one particular blows appropriate on the video card). Quiet 92mm fan in back. Lots of area for three.5 tough drives. Hmm. Handle looks kinda ugly? Yup, that's fairly considerably it. Good case. Fit in my entertainment center when most mid tower situations wouldn't. Seriously nicely developed. I put in a diverse power provide so I can't comment on that.

Comment:
As an entry level case it is outstanding. The manage on the top is hassle-free, the top USB and audio ports are extremely handy, and lastly it has a spot for an extra fan in front of the HD bays. This is an entry level case, so it ought not be docked for having thinner metal, smaller regular PSU and so on, it is what it is, an entry level case. So that becoming mentioned it is thinner sheet metal, it has a low cost PSU, and it comes with a single standard cooling fan (rear). I guess I could also add that it only has two front (top) USB ports and no eSata or 1394 ports. This case is effortless to open and close, straightforward to add additional peripheral to and it is a really sharp searching case. If you are making a pc for somebody who wants uncomplicated to access (front / top) USB ports this is as great as it gets.

Cons:Hard-Drive Cage is very BASICmATX Motherboard (not ATX)Low Capacity (300W) Power Supply

Pros:Looks GreatSuper Convenient Sturdy HandleSurprisingly good fit & finish on the plastic components**TOP** mounted USB + Audio
Comment:
To be honest I was shopping for a low, low, low cost case for a really basic budget build. But I've actually developed kind of crush on this case. It's a really convenient case if you don't mind going with a mATX motherboard and for a budget build, the light-weight power supply really isn't a problem (100W CPU, just say 50 for the motherboard, 10W here & there each for a few fans, SSD, DDR3, and a moderate level gaming card) -- really not a problem. The quality of the metal is just slightly thin, but still fine and actually the fit & finish is surprisingly good and it's actually a good-looking case, classy power button. And that handle is super convenient. AND the USB & Audio Connectors are mounted Top, Front (with a little door) -- you'd be surprised just how convenient that is for a floor-based case. And although the power supply is cheap inexpensive; it didn't *look* like it was inexpensive. The fans are your regular PC not-whisper-quiet, but the first thing the new own said (no lie) is "oooooooh, that's quiet!") [clearly upgrading older technology].So, there's plenty of room for drives (although I wouldn't want a ton of hot, old drives in a smaller case with that tiny power supply). The real issue is that the drive cage is SPARTAN, NO FRILLS, no sliders, no latches, no hinges, nothing -- all permanently riveted... so you it's all screw-driver & tiny screw work -- that said, there's pretty good room to work in that area. But this case is first on my list of good-value-for-money cases (especially, of course, on sale) if you just need a box -- all the rest of it is just a bonus.I'd read some on-the-web reviews talking about lots of smashed shipping damage (not from NCIX), but I didn't see a hint of that; decent shipping box & packing, not a scratch on it. Good quality cord.

Comment:
It is light. The handle is solid and the more than all create of the case is good for this price tag range. Lots of characteristics for a spending budget case or mid level gaming/LAN box. A small bit plain. No windows. Power provide is barely adequate. If you are not into glowing blue lights and image window size openings then you will be content with this case. I added a 120mm fan with blue LED to the front and the glow seriously jazzed up the rather boring front bezel. A power provide with a blue LED would do the exact same for the rear and would be visible by means of the back and the best vent. I can see myself shopping for lots of these for midrange gaming builds.

Rolled edges, plenty of space, sturdy handle, solid. Fantastic front USB and headphone location with a sturdy cover. bought it for my wife and it looks cooler than the case I got for me a couple weeks ago. I feel New Egg is wonderful, UPS on the other hand kinda stinks. Persons have mentioned the metal was flimsy, if it was thicker they would have mentioned it was to heavy. A person stated sharp edges? its all rolled inside my fingers were blood cost-free.

Quite nice lightweight case for Simple build. A lot of airflow with 1 fan added to the front blowing more than HDD. Had to add a master cooler to the CPU due to overheating...overall... None that I can believe of. Has been in use for over a year. No Problems.

APEX TX- 381 Black Computer Case
Comment:
Fantastic (cheap) case that fits both a normal ATX power supplies and every full sized gaming card I own (if you're prepared to sacrifice a HDD slot). I'm a modder and an overclocker. For my initial make in this case, I had a Allendale 2Ghz @ 3Ghz with a Nvidia 9600GT and it ran like a champ. My second construct in this case was a Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz with a Nvidia 8800GTS and although it ran great, it produced me uncomfortable due to high temps. At full load after 24 hours with ORTHOS it was borderline (about 74C) with a 120mm fan in the front, 90mm in the back, 80mm in the side panel and a 120mm fan in the PSU. What I'm obtaining at is this case can deal with fairly considerably anything save for maybe SLI or Crossfire. I hated that stupid silver power button. I popped it out, employed black vinyl dye on it and let it dry. Once dried, I took a toothpick and scratched out the recessed power sign. Since the power LED is behind the button, it gives it a awesome backlit impact. As I mentioned ahead of, the PSU that comes with the case is a "throw away", I wouldn't trust it with any of my kit. The side panels are a bit flimsy, but I use the case as a LAN box and I haven't managed to destroy the panels however. Watch out for the fan on the side panel, it interferes with many of the "tower" coolers such as the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro. I had to track down a "thinner" fan to accommodate the heatsink. The only other gripe I have is the short cables (USB & audio)... They are just barely lengthy adequate to fit my motherboard (ASUS P5Q-VM). This is my second critique of this case, the very first was when I initially bought it a year ago. I thought an additional critique was in order as I've built two systems in it at this point. Take into account a modular power supply, there's not significantly space to hide cables and preserve fantastic airflow. It's also difficult to work in if you have big hands... Not necessarily a con given that it is a mATX case after all.Don't let my cons fool you... Overall, this is a great case specifically when considering the cost. If you're hunting for a fantastic + low cost mATX LAN case, you've located it. Strategy your develop well, route your cables and you'll have a LAN box to be proud of.

by far 1 of the finest instances out there for the funds, extremely affordable for what you get, and is best for that customer make or mother in law computer none really certain you could want a blow hole vent or an aluminum case, but for a micro tower case with a leading handle you cant really complain, and its very light even with a full compliment of hardware

Cons:Power supply provides too little current

Pros:Nice Small Subtle CaseQuite a bit of Space for a Small caseGood airflowCarrying handle
Comment:
Just bought my third one of these and I'd though I'd share my experience. The case is great. For a lesser price it obviously won't be made of the thickest metals but for there price including a power supply, it is a good buy. Lots of room on the inside for everything you need. Subtle and doesn't draw too much attention so it's great for that mini server sitting in the corner. The BAD: If you have some weak system on a LGA775 socket system or other older setup, the power supply is great. I have my old AM2 Sempron web server running for the last two years no issues.BUT if you have a more modern board such as an AM3 or Sandy, this power supply probably won't reach the recommended current output for the motherboard. And since the power supply is obviously a cheap brand, it probably won't even supply whats on the label. So be prepared to throw a different supply into it!I recommend to NCIX that they sell the model of the case WITHOUT the power supply. Other suppliers carry it! This way you save $10-20 on a power supply you don't need and you can put that to a nice cheap Coolermaster or Antec Power Supply. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-12-12 07:34 PM

APEX TX- 381 Black Computer Case
Cons:Cheaply made/Faulty design

Pros:PriceTop handle
Comment:
4 clips which hold the top handle on to the case were broken when I received the item. NCIX built the PC so I am assuming it was damaged in shipping. Seeing that there was no damage to the shipping box I have to conclude that its a result of a cheap case/faulty design that it would break so easily. A search of Newegg reviews reveals the problem is common. Despite this I would still say for the price its a good value.

APEX TX- 381 Black Computer Case
Cons:flimsy metal cover, front "floppy disk" plastic covers fall out easily only 2 SATA power connectors.

Pros:Low cost, good looking case, VERY quiet, psu included.
Comment:
Got this case because it was on sale for $39.99 at NCIX. Great looking case, with a handle so I can take it to different locations in my home. the 400w psu is probably the biggest factor in my decision to purchase this case. it works great but the only thing I am concerned about is that there is only 2 SATA power connectors, both of which are being used for my DVD drive and hard drive. So IF i were to get another dvd drive or hard drive, how am I supposed to power it? Thats one downside to this PSU. the front plastic covering for the floppy drive slots fall into the case if you push it with little force. these are really small minor things that shouldnt repel you from buying this. The case is great looking, lots of hard drive slots, the fans are quiet and the psu is quiet. It comes with all the necessary screws and instructions. One thing I really like is the location of the headphone and usb ports, which is at the top front of the case. Its very convenient since the tower will be sitting of the ground. I got this case as a part of a $300 budget pc and couldn't be more happier about my purchase, as this case was the right choice for my low cost pc build.

Great fit of mobo, sturdy case. Bays for tough drives is a little flimsy. Uncomplicated to bend and not as great resisting vibration. Bought three different micro ATX cases in the last couple of months, this one is the finest of all of them. May well buy another one if I need to have it.

I have produced numerous computers with numerous diverse situations and absolutely nothing beats this one. The deal with on the leading is solid and Incredibly handy(no pun intended). It has auxilery audio and usb hook-ups in front with a little door so they don't get dirty, it has just the correct quantity of bays, a side port for a fan, and adequate space for a range of motherboards and devices without getting too big and bulky. It even comes with a decent power supply! None Newegg could charge twice as much for this case and I'll still purchase it without having hesitation.

Little, light, quiet and has a nice manage; Plenty of room for many HDD's; No cooling troubles for a budget construct; Looks excellent. Included fan & standard intel cpu fan do plenty to preserve my budget create cool & quiet. As several state: PSU is inadequate, but quiet, the side cover panels are thin. In truth the entire case construction is rather thin, and a bit sharp; So don't place a massive weight on leading or throw it across the room (probably won't survive) and be a bit careful with your fingers. Not much to the directions, but didn't seriously require them. Anticipate to replace the PSU according to your develop and you'll be pleased. I don't believe it can be beat for the money. I would certainly obtain this case again.

Built 2 different computers in theses situations, really like em, rolled edges so no cuts, face pops off simple sufficient but isnt loose when attached. Vents have huge holes for better air flow. PSU appears solid enough. fan that came with case is OK, moved it to the front (see cons)to cool my two sata drives front fan mounts are a good feature, but one is 80mm and im not certain about the other, so mounting the 90mm fan that comes with the case was somewhat odd but nonetheless functional with no any obstructions. would deff. purchase this case again and once again.

I bought a second one of these cases for a different build and I am nonetheless ecstatic about operating with it. 1 of the ideal characteristics is that the motherboard is mounted on a couple rails that run from the front to the back of the case. This means that you can virtually hide all the wires and cables on the back side of the motherboard and the drive cages. This made for the cleanest seeking create that I have ever created (and I have created a lot) Power provide barly adequate for mid range gaming rig. If you are using a card above the 8600GT or 2600XT you are going to require to get a much better PSU. But I would still acquire the case. If they ever offer totally free shipping on these I am going to purchase ten of them.

Might have had a thing to put here if I had kept the case. The case arrived with the leading broken. Not sure if it was due to the poor packaging. I returned it and got a additional high-priced case which turned out perfectly. Newegg was great about the rma and their customer service is a ten in my book! I returned this and bought a various case due to the fact my feeling was that if the best broke that quickly in transit, it could not stand up to every day wear and tear when becoming carried by the handle.

The way they have the motherboard mounts and backplane, it's a lot less complicated to plug in your SATA cables for the side mounting style motherboards. Full case vendors could take a lesson on how they did it. It's the only MicroATX case I could locate that could take 4 HDDs. It's nice it comes with a PSU if you are a cheapo. The PSU it comes with is low cost and that's why it comes cost-free. Good luck if you put something in there besides 1 drive and a motherboard if you use that. As stated prior to, it is what it is, a low cost case without having something additional. This is like developing a computer back in the 90s. Nostalgia rocks. If you strategy on putting an ATI 5870 in there, forget it. Like I mentioned, it is what it is. If you searching to create a thing to awe your friends and family, there are other cases out there. This was purchased to be a rapid, out of the way, somewhat portable server. For what I have built, it works excellent. Just make certain you get a good CPU cooler due to the lack of air movement. Yes you will have to take away the plastic cone if you have a superior sized cooler in there. I advise a Zalman.
