It was a decent card when it worked, it was modestly priced (for the time) when I got it. Long story quick: I got the card, it broke just immediately after I sent in the rebate form. File a aid request with Asus support. They did not respond at all till I gave them an angry telephone get in touch with two weeks later, and then I could have sworn it was an automated message. Sent it in for repairs, and got it back. Now, six month later, it's broken Once again, and I have to go through the whole song-and-dance once again just to get it fixed. I am Under no circumstances getting yet another Asus solution again. It actually is not worth the money you (could) save to obtain a shoddy item from a business with awful customer service. (To be quite sincere, I think I've spent much more dollars on sending it in for repairs than just getting the subsequent card up.)

Nice cooler that vents heat outside of case.HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs.Quiet.Great performance for most games at most resolutions. Not the fastest card you can get. Card is fairly major, so make confident you have the clearance for it.

Cost to graphics upgrade is excellent over my HD3850 I had installed, specially with the MIR. Runs Team Fortress 2 at high settings in 1920 x 1080 with out a difficulty. Overclocking doesn't function with ATI Catalyst Handle Center but does with ASUS SmartDoctor. Overclocked to 950񳇌 with errors.Doesn't require enormous power supply, I am running an Antec 380 W 80 plus.Bought mine when it was 贵.99, checked the subsequent day, went up to 贿.99. With paying the Ū.99 for fast processing and the ย MIR, only price me 账.98. ASUS SmartDoctor on CD doesn't work with card, not a huge deal since you just download it from ASUS's website. Paid Ū for the MIR so I only get ย back, not seriously a large deal but Ū is 10%.

*It wasn't DoA. Terrible driver support, you can't update to any drivers that are not shipped with the CD. Windows 7 64-bit would freeze on boot up in something but protected mode if you try to update. This implies you essentially have to put up with the awful drivers provided and hope that there's an offchance a random update will work.As soon as the card was "up and running" issues got worse. Overall performance for this card is awful, plain and basic. I was knowledge FPS deltas anyplace from 5-75 fps. 75 would be when staring at a static scene. 5-25 in most scenarios involving movement. Crysis was literally unplayable at 1080p...it couldn't even detect my monitor at that resolution. Everquest two was unplayable at modest settings, there have been frequent texture caches that would halt the system for about three-7 seconds then it would play catch up. Frequent stuttering in Psychonauts, STALKER, and even SC2 beta. I installed my old MSI Radeon 4850 in the similar sys...booted up the first time devoid of conf *After wasting 14 hours straight of my life attempting to install drivers, a DoA card would have been preferable.

Excellent value for your cash, low energy specifications, exceptional performance. Some men and women have reported crazy higher temps, I get 42C idle 72C load, which is very equivalent to my prior card. No Eyefinity on this card - I personally couldn't care less. My final card was virtually silent on idle - this a single's fan is faintly audible. Soon after a couple of minutes I stopped noticing it although. This is the finest bang for your buck card available these days (July ཆ)... as lengthy as you're fortunate adequate to keep away from finding the uncommon faulty card with a heatsink problem.

This issue is the very best point that ever occurred to me for 贡 bucks. I play a handful of MMORPGs (Aion, City of Heroes, and so forth) and man this card gave me a entire new gaming practical experience. I set both games to max and this thing can handle them. In Aion the high population areas get some lag, but I'm assuming thats additional of a network thing. I don't know. I didn't uncover out this sooner. The title says it all. I don't think you can get a lot more bang for your buck with this vid card.

These cards (the 5770's in general) are, in my opinion, the cards to beat suitable now in terms of price to efficiency for gaming. Obviously there are faster cards, but thinking about expense as an attribute, I don't believe there are "better." None Well known cards, AMD did nicely hyping these, very good sellers.

Got it for my first construct this vacation. General I can say that I adore it. the regular clock will take anything you throw at it, easily. Overclocked, the thing blasts by means of Starcraft II on ultra at far upwards of 85 fps. There were a couple of things that have been inconvenient, but absolutely nothing substantial. Really great card. Two items caught my focus. Neither are deal-breakers, but they are frustrating. The initial, it did NOT play nicely with my mid-size case. Simply because this card is huge and type of oddly shaped, the simple-access latches in the case in fact irreparably stuck it in the PCI slot! I ended up removing the latches and employing very good old-fashioned screws. I'm perfectly fine with that. Secondly, the drivers and SmartDoctor gave me a bit of a fit on very first install. They just didn't function. At all. So I reinstalled the drivers and anything functions like a dream now. Like I said, neither are deal-breakers, just some thing to be weary of. Considering about buying yet another to Crossfire together... Realizing that I truly don't need to have two... Considering about carrying out it anyway...

Graphics look good. No stuttering or artifacts Crashes devoid of warning. At very first it would just crash during heavy game play. As time went on although, it would crash just when surfing the internet. I installed new drivers as they came out to no avail. Some individuals had encouraged down-clocking. I tried it and it didn't function either. I was genuinely hoping that AMD obtaining ATI would bring about an improvement in ATI stability. So a lot for that.

The pros are driver simplicity, performance, and worth. It hass DDR5 ram... Took my desktop/gaming graphics from four.sixǛ.four all the way up to 7.4 which is beautiful. And it only expense me 贄? Sufficient stated. I haven't ran into any cons but. Some people today do not like the size of the card. Yet again, I have an ATX situation so it fits properly with about a excellent inch to spare. For 贄, you cannot beat this card. I've currently thrown full settings at it in Borderlands - which has quite complicated graphics. It's night-and-day from the ATI HD 3300 chipset native to my mobo... I like the card. I have two of them in Crossfire mode with two monitors connected. I have a 7.four score in Windows 7...way up from the 5.three with two BFG 8600 GTOC's!! The picture has Alone in the Dark as a part of the package contents, but wasn't included. Why wasn't it integrated I don't know, but I will try to get an answer soon. That is why there is an egg missing from my assessment. I wish that there were two goldfingers per card. I have an ASUS M4A79T Deluxe Mobo which can run Ɣ) cards in Crossfire mode!! I knew this prior to my obtain though, it was hard to pass up the deal with rebates on both cards, and Newegg.com ships more rapidly than anybody else. I am a customer for life! ASUS M4A79T Deluxe Mobo, Corsair Force Series 40GB SSD(SataII), three Hitachi 1TB HDD(SataII), Windows 7 64 Pro, 8GB G.Skill DDR3-1600, Antec 900 Case BTX config. with air cooling, and an Aerocool Touch-2000 Fan control. Too a lot of extras, but my rig rocks! I am just waiting for a fantastic deal for a Blu-Ray burner and I will be happy with this create.

Very good card for the money. Can't beat the energy for the value point. Integrated overclocking is good, but I identified MSI Afterburner to be a better utility to OC and monitor temps. The included cooling unit was loud while it did its job. I couldn't take the noise and bought an Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro to quiet it. While a fantastic card for the cost, it just didn't cut it for me in Rift running 1680x1050 at Medium settings w/ no AA on.Lord of the Rings On the internet was OK at medium settings but struggled on high.WoW Cata (no longer play) ran excellent. Replaced this with a EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1563-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB (also from newegg)

Operates effectively, excellent fps. I was able to max a couple of games. Some game you need to lower settings.Forget dx11 if you want to play games/run benchmarks.I had some trouble with drivers. I installed the most current a single from AMD and I have many artifact, needed to reduced core speed to 625mhz. It wouldn't launch any game devoid of flickering/artifact.I uninstalled the drivers and installed earlier version and it worked xD PHEWWW This is not my card, but my client card so it had to function ! I'd go for a 6850 rather of this one, the price tag distinction is worth it ! Believe me !

Installed just like any other PCIe card...except, see other thoughts.I like the truth that ASUS has protective coverings for the PCIe connections and the Crossfire connection.Good cooler.Unlocked voltage.Included a crossfire cable as effectively as a 2x4 pin molex to 6pin PCIe power adapter, and an HDMI to DVI adapter. Documentation was fairly skimpy. No Eyefinity attainable due to removal of displayport connector, but I knew that prior to I purchased it. This card was purchased for a crossfire configuration, and it appears to be operating well in that aspect. I haven't utilized it on it's personal, but imagine the efficiency to be equal to other 5770 cards.I like the fact that ASUS wanted to make the card sturdy by such as a metal bracket in the style, but it make it very hard to safe in a tool-less case that makes use of a clip to hold the cards in spot. Now, I have to either modify the bracket or my case's clip to tightly safe it.
