Good features for the value. Newegg's response amazing. DOA board Appears there are a lot of these from ASUS, but this is my initially practical experience with an ASUS DOA out of a dozen boards.

Great on board graphics Manual has incorrect front panel info. Board has major ram/boot/reboot/sound/network card concerns (I have knowledgeable all of these so far) Check asus forums prior to you purchase this one particular. Purchased as a combo deal. Thought it would be a affordable way to replace an older Computer. Has been a huge headache so far. Hoping that updating bios will aid, but forum posts on that don't appear promising.

It's made by ASUS.. it's much less than ์. Perhaps Congress should have Asus on trial proper next to Toyota. Lead to this is the very first Asus I've ever had so significantly trouble with. Seems as though Asus too has chosen profit more than quality. Not only was I sent 2 DOA, but the third one died on Saturday Feb. 20, 2010 about a week of acquiring it installed. I'm not over clocking, I am utilizing vital ballistix ram and an AMD 240 Regor. Can not get this issue to start up, the motherboard just flashes and sits, dead as a door nail. Even although this motherboard was sent out on Feb. 07 it apparently isn't covered under warranty any longer?? Will be ordering a Gigabyte or MSI mobo after this. Considering that I can't wait forever for Asustek to cover the replacement beneath warranty and AMD to replace the dead processor.

It runs newer technologies on a budget board. Driver CD is generic and not created for this board in unique, but really all NFORCE powered board. My sound hasn't worked out of the box. I will try a newer driver from nVidia but I'm skeptical. I know I bought the board for a price range Computer, but it ought to at least have appropriate supporting drivers. At the moment without an net connection where this personal computer is setup so updated drivers have turn out to be specifically laborious.

Wonderful Cost/Performance ratio. The Bios is really function filled at this price point; and the system has many nice extras, like four Sata ports instead of the usual two that most boards have at this value point. The Bios also appears to have some overclockability built in, but I haven't utilized it so I can't speak to its usability. Uses Nvidia Northbridge and Southbridge. Only two PCI slots, One particular PCI Express x1 and one PCI express x16 slot; so not as a lot upgradeability. I've had it for more than a month without a hiccup or dilemma. I would recommend this board to any smaller program builder.

WOrked great appropriate out of the box,I bought it to replace a ecs board that was acting up under win7.So far no issues all drivers worked fantastic.I haven't tried overclocking however but I have no need to have for that actually.I may get yet another to fire up my dual core amd.Yes if you will need a board to do basic stuff on your computer system this will rock. None,if you read the specs you will know what you are finding before you purchase it. I didnt even have to reformat or nothing installed old hdd and it took suitable off,I was suprised at that.

It will indeed take AM3 processors, regardless of the board saying right on it that it is a "Socket 940" and the manual (printed in Feb. 2009, ahead of a number of BIOS and hardware revisions) only listing "AM2/AM2+" as compatible CPUs. Onboard video gives decent 3D performance, much greater than the Intel GMA chipset you often get stuck with in small computers.Capable of booting off USB devices, such as memory sticks. This is a very useful feature. It means you don't have to install a clunky, slow optical drive.Linux-friendly, except for the firmware RAID. Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS 32 bit started ideal up & installed with out situation. Onboard sound worked appropriate away, and the proprietary Nvidia drivers let you use the 3D acceleration of the GeForce 7025 chipset. Nonetheless includes a parallel port and legacy serial port, as effectively as PSǘ mouse and keyboard connectors. Why? Who is seriously nevertheless utilizing those? I would rather have had an eSATA port.Includes the firmware RAID controller that every mfg. appears to really feel obligated to put on each and every motherboard these days. Seriously, who is going to run a RAID on one of these? As usual, no Linux drivers exist for the RAID controller. Demands computer software to use it in Windows, in contrast to a true RAID.The connector for the program front panel devices is nonstandard. Pins for power and ground of method power LED are correct subsequent to every single other, not spaced two pins apart as on 99% of other motherboards. I had to rewire the power LED connector from my situation to match.1-egg deduction for the unnecessary, obsolete connectors in lieu of eSATA, and nonstandard pinout on the front panel connector. No connector for a three.five" diskette drive. Nevertheless, Windows XP SP3 had no difficulty installing with out me supplying a driver for the SATA controller. Very good issue as well, as XP will only read a driver off a three.5" diskette at install time.I did not purchase this board to overclock, so I can not comment on the robustness of the OC characteristics. Ditto for RAID, except the shortcomings noted above.Although ASUS lists a slightly different SKU for the compatible AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor, the one sold at Newegg (model ADX250OCGQBOX) will work.I received hardware revision 1.04g, BIOS 0804. A newer BIOS is available on ASUS' web site.

Affordable and stable so far. Connectors such as sata and ide are conveniently situated. Plenty of space about cpu socket to accommodate huge shuriken scythe cooler. 1.Motherboard connectors for led, power, hdd are mislabeled in the instruction manual. Technique would not post till I connected them in reverse of the instructions. This has also been stated on another web page's product's critique. Didn't anticipate this from a massive business like Asus. two.No situation fan connector Fantastic motherboard for an old athlon x2 4800 that is now in service as an htpc in my family space. 1 egg off for cons listed above.

Genuinely fantastic specs and value. Got two DOAs, decided to just get a return and try a different vendor immediately after wasting about a month waiting for it and it's replacement. ASUS rocks, but not their bottom end stuff. All of that sucksss. It's why all the HP Pavilion Slimlines and several other PCs I have noticed fail.

I'm loving it, the onboard graphics did what I necessary until I got my ASUS GT220. No situation's with anything I busted it out, put in the CPU,and RAM, began it up, and BAM it was prepared for an OS. From what I've read about this motherboard is that it in fact doesn't assistance AM3, but I don't know from private experience so I'm not judging. If it doesn't properly that that'd be the only con. I bought this by means of a newegg combo that came with the motherboard, CPU, and RAM.My present computer system specs:This motherboardAMD Athlon II x2 260 ʃ.2GHz4GB of G.SkillASUS GT220 1GB DDR2

WOW! Speak about speedy shipping, ordered Thursday morning at ten am, received Friday at 12ᚷpm. No difficulties installing. I produced the royal error of reading the manual front to back--sorry, but it's correct. Fired up precisely on time-30 mins total from out of box, even with a corrupt MBR on old machine, tough drive came correct back up and repaired. Fantastic speed on this for a low end board, I am impressed-NewEgg, absolutelly impressed. Would obtain from you once more in a heartbeat. Exceeded my expectations. No complications with jacks whatsoever, migrated elements from a T-5254 Emachine, jacks went suitable in. All I can recommend if you have troubles Read the manual. Not one glitch right here placing technique together.

Not significantly cash and I've accomplished 3 builds with this board. All have the x2, two.9 AMDs and they all are running devoid of a issue. Video does an adequate job for the average Pc user. Would not use for a game user. Its a little shy on USB ports but does have several headers on board so its no major difficulty If you are looking for a budget price tag and yet do a very good job for most applications, board is a good value.

easy to use attributes goes together and fires up great purchased this in a barebones kit with amd phenom 9750x4 and at each and every startup it says cpu not compatible press f1 to continue immediately after that all is fine? lots of threads on forums about this issue but no repair for it however. even updated all drivers and bios and this does not assist-be warned . most likely a very good board for dual core machines but would go a different route for x4 or x6.

And to the guy who said that it has foxcon components- Hate to break it to you, but foxcon fabricates nearly all motherboards.

I was making a Computer for my mom (so no will need for high end) and chose this one particular because I had a 6000+ CPU laying about.Fantastic sufficient video for my mom's needs. Though the 6000+ is listed on the compatable CPUs, it isn't.Apparently, there are some that don't operate... Picked up a new dual core CPU for dirt low cost and Mom's happy

5th ASUS board to date. No troubles with any of them, this getting the newest and shortest owned. Uncomplicated Setup, decent directions, fantastic little boards with lots of capabilities. Only real complaint, is retrofitting in older instances, the IDE/ULTRA DMA cables provided are generally too brief or have odd device loops (distances) that make them hard if impossible to use in retrofits. Photo for this one shows onboard motherboard LED, mind did not have one. Not a big deal
