I worked with GIGABYTE MB's in the previous and now I am a ASUS follower. Pure SATA 6Gb that won't rob bandwidth from GPU. Plenty of external connections USB, Sata, USB-3. No problems with the CPU Cooler and memory height, plenty of space. Found all drivers for the OS automatically (search the internet). The TurboV EVO is quite easy to manipulate (overclocking). Runs cool. Waiting for the progress LED's slows down the boot approach, but once passed, it flies. BIOS discovered the second set of memory but OS (Windows 7 64 bit) reported 8GB Installed, but only 4GB usable. I reseated the second pair and it worked perfectly. I had to tweak the BIOS to get the DDR3 1600 RAM to register 7-8-7-24 appropriately. User friendlyFuture proof with 6gb SATA and USB 3.It's an ASUSSo numerous BIOS/Software choices with this board it's seriously nice for the folks who aren't 100% laptop savy when it comes to OC and mods of any sort. I wish the manuals had been additional in depth but even this 1 is even much better than most motherboards I've noticed. Not really a con for the board just a basic mobo con I have lol Did a fresh develop with an i5 and 4gb of DDR3 memory.Turned it on and got a black screen with no beeps or something. Manual didn't say something about my difficulty. I re-plugged almost everything in connections and all and then it began up just fine. Haven't had a dilemma since!

I bought the P7P55D-E Pro motherboard back in early July. So far it's running flawlessly. The bundled computer software that comes in the box is cool also. This didn't impact me trigger I didn't have to use them but it would have been nice if the serial ATA connectors had been placed looking up instead of pointing out the side of the board. One particular tip I heard about from a pal that I will pass onto You. Just before installing the motherboard into the case, make positive you set up the Asus Q Shield initially into the case. The shield has cutouts in it so when installing the board, the various ports will fit into the shield's port cutouts. Otherwise, if you forget to set up the shield, you will have to remove the complete board and that could be a discomfort..:o)

Most consumers appear to have NOT gotten lemons... Purchased it back in October and by November I had swapped out RAM hoping that was the source of the instability. Nope. Nevertheless blues screens in Win7 and processes freeze in Ubuntu. RMAed it in December and a couple weeks later Asus sent it back loose in a plain brown box so I no longer have the box with the SN. No documentation on what(if something) had been carried out to the MB. The issue just craps out way too regularly. And thanks, Asus for that blue "DVI" (Asus VK264H monitor) icon that show up in the upper left when the program croaks, it does a nice job hiding the blue screen reason like "memory management" and "page fault in nonpaged location". The ethernet RJ45 connector is really fidgety, also. I had to turn on the connection monitor in the BIOS to warn me when it was booting up (and I do a lot of that with this machine) that it had no connectivity so that I could get up and stroll about the desk and jiggle the cable. My previous machines (Asus PK5, Asus A7V8X) utilised the similar cable with no prob lems. Luckily, I have this Asus P50IJ laptop that I can use to maintain functioning and my Asus RT-N16 router is functioning OK and my HTPC (an Asus P5N73-AM) is fine, also. Did I mention I've been a fairly loyal Asus client? Those products all function quite properly and it seems most other folk's P7P55D-E Pro MBs do, also. But mine doesn't, and Asus client service doesn't look interested in carrying out anything about it.So if you obtain one particular, hope like heck that you get a high-quality a single.(oh, and I ALSO personal an Asus SDRW-08D1S-U external DVD writer)Perfect of luck, people.

This motherboard is fantastic because it worked out-of-the-box for me. The MemOK! and overclocking functions of the BIOS are an exceptional plus to anyone interested. I'm not, but I'm making use of AI tweaker anyway for the G.skill Ripjaws.Secondly, it's a very good board for people who like accessories. You get plenty of expansion for the dollars. Third, I like the truth that the motherboard checks important method elements for failure prior to boot. This is a handy troubleshooting function to me.The IO panel cover is soft but firm and a lot far better than the thin piece of metal I usually get with other motherboards. ASUS did good on this.I upgraded from a micro-ATX variant of this motherboard, a P7P55-M. It was nicely worth it for me, guys. I went buck-wild and enabled XMP and C-states. So far, so fantastic. No hissing noises or something. It was straight and cool. The 90-degree-angle SATA connectors are kind of awkward for me, but it's all excellent. It almost certainly tends to make sense with a handful of applications, and it really depends on the computer system case. Nevertheless, I got frustrated for the initial 5 minutes because I didn't actually know how it was for some folks. Not a lot of 3-pin fan connectors, but this isn't actually a large deal. I didn't have any difficulties at all. I would suggest this motherboard to any individual.

This mobo is very flexible and i haven't had trouble with any of my components. The on board Audio is rather very good. The Sata connections are horizontal which is good for cable management. I had some complications with the Optical out on my board, not positive if it was a driver issue or what. Not positive if it functions as i haven't messed with it due to the fact day 1.

USB 3., SATA six. GBPS transfer prices. This MOBO can take a i3,i5, or i7 1156 cpu. I began off with an i3 and will be upgrading later. This board enables for either SLI or Crossfire. I will be buying another video card to run in SLI later. I was a little nervous right after some of the poor critiques, but have had none of the issues the other purchasers had so far. This MB is expensive. There are no Screws offered to attach it to the stands in my case. Also, I could not get the RAID to operate. I believe that is just simply because of the settings, there is a menu I could not get into. I will call ASUS Help later in the week when I have time to clear that concern up. I am deducting 1 egg for the above factors. Otherwise this is an great board! Don't neglect to connect both the 24 pin and the eight pin power adapter. The eight pin is in a weird location close to the cpu and not effortlessly visible.

As a initially time builder, I spent a lot of time researching motherboards and choosing out the proper one. I ended up purchasing this one since it comes from a reputable firm, is user friendly, and is extremely rated by other websites for overclocking. The laptop or computer began up on the second try when all my elements had been installed. The very first error was my fault as I forgot to connect a second power cable to the best of the motherboard. The reason I mention this is simply because this motherboard has several LED lights that light up when you make a error and helps you diagnose the dilemma. This is really helpful for 1st time builders. The CPU LED lit up red which assisted me figure out my error. The user manual explains troubleshooting effectively and aids the installer understand what all the LEDs imply or personal computer beeps upon POST.Ton of ports (more than most will need) and comes with a lot of functions. BIOs is effortless to comprehend for 1st time builders and those with common tech understandi At 1st, the MOBO only read the G.Talent RAM as 1333. I had to manually modify this setting in the BIOs to 1600. Even so, it did recognize all 4 GB on the first POST.No other memory difficulties have been identified. No USB problems have been encountered as mentioned by other posters. No issues with noise and worked appropriate out of the box. I have not yet overclocked my CPU as I wanted to take a couple of weeks and run the program stock to make positive no other problems had been identified. Easy to overclock. I imply Uncomplicated. You can just set the factor to auto and it operates extremly well at jacking every little thing up so it's balenced. If you're like me and often feel weird about voltages, it looks at everythign in there and speeds things up accordingly by it's own assumption. Has a couple of nifty extras with it as properly. The onboard sound card is also decent for MOBO audio-use it if your low on purchasing a stand-alone card. Wonder what they had been pondering with placement of some of these ports. 90 degree SATA in distinct is a chore to get to. THe plugs are incredibly soft and issues can fall out if you're not cautious, half my cables fell from their sockets when I was tying them up in the case-that's never ever happened to me just before. It's a tiny annoyance. Also had some complications receiving BIOS to recognise some difficult drives-just took a bit of moving about. For the income and the extras, it's a good board. If you're on a spending budget or just want a board to overclock and don't care about added tech savvy stuff on more costly boards, this is the 1 to get.

Excellent selection of attributes integrated, overclocking is decent, BIOS is painless and mainly uncomplicated to navigate, parts fit well and with no conflict (first construct woot!) 90 degree SATA connectors are not ideal, specially with the already unintuitive positioning of the SATA ports Great mobo all round, if a little frustrating in some isolated situations. I consider complaining about the price tag, but all in all, it's almost certainly worth it. Would advise

Properly laid out motherboard, plenty of room around the CPU for substantial heatsink, easy to OC, and so on. Operates nicely and rapid. It is not a accurate USB or SATA 3. support; each the USB and the SATA three. ports are connected to a PCIe x1 lane. The maximum throughput for the PCIe x1 is 5Gb/s; the USB and SATA 3. on the other hand is 6Gb/s. You loose about 150MB/s speed. I must've waited for the LGA-1155...

I've read Quite a few posts where people today are getting problems with the right amount of RAM not showing up in BIOS/Windows.If it says ŘGB total, 2GB Usable..."****RESEAT THE PROCESSOR!****I had to do this twice! When on the day of the technique construct, the second when I installed a new CPU cooler. It fixed the dilemma both times! Newer processors control the memory channels and as a result if the processor is not seated effectively, you can get false readings.General, this is an Exceptional motherboard! Don't get me incorrect. It is just quite picky about the way you seat the processor. Picky about how you seat the processor. Newegg is flippin' great!

Booted up initially time with no difficulties. I'm making use of a Hypermaster 212 cooler and there had been no issues lining it up. 8x, 8x overall performance with dual cards. But that's a chipset limitation so not seriously a con. Running a Critical Realssd on the sata 6 connection. Following reading one more overview here, I was worried about a blue screen talked about. It did happen to me but it only occurred soon after I downloaded a Windows update that contained a driver from Accusys that does not belong on the program. I deleted it and have been operating for over a week with no difficulties at all.
