Cons: price (pricier than other mobos, but you get what you pay for)

Pros: Easy install, ASUS quality, no compatibility issues, future proof
Comment:
Installation of ram, and core i5 760 a cinch. easiest upgrade i've ever done! after a few stints with other mobo manufacturers and chipset makers, I'm back to what is reliable and good.

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: PC Probe II causes system to hang on shutdown

Pros: Mem check is nice, easy OC'ing
Comment:
So far has been stable with i5-760. Still looking for a fix to the PC Probe II issue, looks like I might have to go back to an older version.Hardware monitoring works well, memory check is nice feature. Have not completely tested the OC ability of this board yet. So far everything seems to work great though.

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: None

Pros: Solid Build, solid brand
Comment:
The Gigabyte P55A-UD4P board was out of stock so I had to switch to this board. Both are solid choices, overclocks well. Not much more to add really, highly recommended to those looking at a i5 processor.

Bought as part of i5 760 Build. Works fine and no issues with overclocking.Would recommend a cheaper board if you are not using the extra features.

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: takes time to POST

Pros: LED to show bootdevice, ram, VGA, or CPU errors. I've never had these before. No crashes or BSOD so far, runs wellFeels sturdyLots of ports, havnt tried USB 3.0 yet
Comment:
Overall I am satisfied with this product, the troubleshooting LED's are great since Ive never had those before. It does take some time to POST. No comment on USB 3.0 yet since I don't have a device and also never used express gate.

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: The BIOS update  defaulted my RAID0 setup to IDE, and could not boot, thought my hard drives were erased. The somewhat high price (but you get what you pay for)

Pros: Full Feature Motherboard (with SATA3, USB 3.0, MemOK, etc.)Not "crippled" (so you can use SATA3, USB 3.0, and Crossfire at the same time)Nice layout with the "icicles" and the "starry" heatsink
Comment:
I am very satisfied with this motherboard. It's running cool at around 30C. Plus, it has a good upgrade path. I could Crossfire my 5770 later and/or add more RAM. I recommend this motherboard if you want a future-proof computer (USB 3.0, SATA3).

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: I would have liked more controllable fan headers on the board

Pros: USB3 and SATA6GB without compromising PCIe 2 slots4 black SATA cables includedQ-connector
Comment:
A great motherboard for those thinking about dual GPU later on. It looks great and performs great too. With the auto overclocking features, i can get my i5 750 up to 3.8 GHz on air with no problems, and probably quite a bit higher when I go manual. The placement of the PCI slots gives you extra room for air intake on dual graphics card setups and gives you room for a PCI and PCIe 1x cards with both dual slot graphics cards installed. The board also gives you almost full speed (500 MB/s vs 600 MB/s) SATA 6G and USB3 without sacrificing the limited PCIe 2.0 on the Lynnfield platform. The only thing I'd change is the number of controllable fan headers, but that's what fan controllers are for.

Comment:
Had a few problems with this board. Looks good and performance is good too. I felt Msi Boards are built better than Asus. Express Gate is not working in my system YET. Loadup times are high. I might just replace this board with MSI.

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: Push pin cooling mounts - but I'm nitpicking

Pros: Good overclocking capabilities and BIOS, Sata3/USB 3, Good PCI-E slot placement, good built-in audio chip, PLX chip doesn't sacrifice PCI-E lanes to support USB3/SATA3, LOTES CPU socket/plate, SLI/CF support
Comment:
I purchased this board to replace an EVGA P55 FTW that has been giving me fits over the past two months. My intention was to use this board in combination with 8GB of G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL modules and my i7 860 to achieve a 3.7 to 4.0 Ghz speed overclocked. So far this board has not disappointed. First off, the BIOS is excellent. There is a built-in OC utility that works well, with the only caveat being that VCore and VTT voltages might get auto-set a touch too high. It also has a built-in Memory checker that can be activated on boot to ensure your DDR3 is compatible. The BIOS has a nice feature of saving up to 8 OC profiles with names and these profiles can be backed up to a removable media device. Very nice feature, normally on X58 boards. The built-in audio VIA VT1828S chip works well with DTS and Dolby Digital receivers via SP-DIF and the surround sound works as advertised in Windows Vista and Windows 7, as well as with XP.The Asus TurboV EVO software has been updated and works great for those on-the-fly OC endeavours and also can save profiles to dynamically switch your OC. I also have found the smartfan capabilities to work well. Very quiet on low load, and then the fans go full blast or 80% based on the profile for fans you choose.I also like the PCI-E slot placement. The second PCI-E graphics slot has two slots distance from the top slot, and this works great to keep the top card cooler because it's not starved for air. Otherwise I found ZERO layout issues with any connectors for power, SATA or USB.So far after a day or so of tweaking I've achieved overclocks as high as my EVGA P55 FTW, and the board has been rock solid stable. Right now I'm running at 203x19 for a 3.86Ghz overclock, with pretty good voltages and temps on the i7 860 with hyperthreading enabled.I would say my only concern is the use of pushpins to anchor the VRM cooling, but they seem to be of good quality, and the cooling hardware did not seem loose or "wobbly". I would purchase this board again for a P55 based I7 or I5 system.Make sure you are using the second-latest BIOS (not 0808, the one before) to get maximum enjoyment. I really wonder why anyone would choose the far pricier Maximus III board over this.Highly recommended, 5 stars, and this is coming from a Gigabyte fan, and someone who never gives 5 star reviews.

Cons: Issues recognizing drives

Pros: USB 3.0 and SATA 6GBDecent for OverclockingStable
Comment:
Overall a very nice motherboard. Does not sacrifice as much as the Gigabyte boards do to incorporate USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB. Able to overclock i5-750 to 3.8 GHz with ease.Only issue i have is my SATA hard drives not being fully recognized on boot. Haven't been able to resolve issue.

a Decent board for oc'ing and i5, does really well, stay's cool and works well.got my i5 running at 3.8 with little effort, the 4ghz required more work and too much voltage for my air cooling(212+).so far dint run into any issues, the black IO shield is really nice, with a black case, just wish the pcb was all black too but overall nice board.

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:documentation can be a little weak in places. Express Gate did not work out of the box.

Pros:solid Asus quality
Comment:
Bought this along with an i5 750 and some other goodies. I have always used and bought Asus mobo's. They have never failed me. This board is feature right with OC'ing capabilities that I cant even fathom to comprehend.. However, I am going to take on the challenge. Nice options for boot. The only complaint I had was on Express Gate. I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that EG came installed on chip on the mobo and that simply selecting the option in bios would boot me to this Linux environment. I was mistaken. Even after installing EG from the Asus site (download zip), I got nothing. After reading a bit, it noted something about working on certain Sata Ports at which I simply gave up trying to figure it out as it was not that important. I am sure it works fine, just have to take the lazy hat off.

Cons:If it wasn't on sale, I think it can be pricey

Pros:A solid and stable board, and have no trouble with it so far.Lots of great features. Looks nice too!
Comment:
Bought this board when it was an extreme deal. Using this to build my i5 750. Great at over-clocking the i5 and RAM, easy to config. More features than you'll need for a casual gamer. The USB3.0 and SATA 6GB is definitely a plus. The shiny chipset heatsink looks awesome. Runs stable, great job ASUS.

Nice Motherboard!
Comment:
Bought this for my desktop. Worked great out of the box. Got an i5 in it. Looks nice no problems with it. Had to hold down the memOK Button for the 4gb 1333 corsair ram I got in it. Overclocking features are nice and fairly simple. Got it overclocked to 3.8ghz stable with a corsair h50 liquid cooler. Over all a very nice board. Only problem I had was my 8 pin power connector from my power supply is mounted on the bottom of my case and the connector piece is on the top of the motherboard. So The cable can just reach. Might just be the power supply cable though. It is a kinda old power supply. Great value would recommend to my customers.

Great so far
Comment:
I bought this MB for my first home assembled PC. I had to return the 1st one because the tech support thought that it had a bad controller, but I'm not sure now that it wasn't a faulty OS load. The second board works perfectly after I correct the OS load. Everything works as advertised and made the build really simple. I love the OC software included with this. I've got an i7 860 processor running stable with all 4 cores at 3.66 Ghz,
