I chose this display to allow decent viewing of online video, DVD, BluRay and general application software. Turned out to be a better value than expected. I have already recommended this display to several friends. Control buttons are small and somewhat difficult to get to is my only negative comment. Picture is beautiful. Placement of this large screen gives more distance from my eyes so a big plus. Plans to replace the SD video capture card in my PC with HD will only improve my satisfaction. Great value.

Great monitor but I miss the automatic brightness. Picture is very good and no dead pixels. I did not hook the speakers up so I don't know about them. The worst thing about it is the dust sticks to the bezel ... now that is a big problem, LOL Fast shipping as always. Thanx TD

As with everything Asus I have ever bought, this product meets my expectations well. However I did find out my video card can't keep up. When plugged into my laptop though the picture is clear and crisp.

I love this monitor. Asus's multimedia is the best!10/10! At first I was deciding on Samsung monitors, however, I realize Samsung is too pricey and found out that Asus produces great lcd monitors.A decent price for a fanastic lcd monitor, must buy!

Asus really hit the nail on the head with this monitor, the construction is solid and it had no dead or stuck pixels when I recieved it, also tiger shipped it in 3 days! Thanks , also all of the different port types is very nice, from vga, dvi, and hdmi... then their is the audio... decent for in the back of a monitor but if u want great sound gotta get an external set, but im happy with it! killer price too!

At 200 dollars, you can't go wrong with this 24 inch 23.6 technically monitor. this company has been around forever making motherboards and other PC products, and they just recently jumped into the monitor field. This monitor supports 1080p, so its perfect for blueray or widescreen gaming, and at 1920x1080, you have plenty of room on your desktop to manage multiple apps showing at the same time. The features are decent, dvi, hdmi, and some speakers which aren't that great but no one buys a monitor for speakers the biggest problem with this monitor is the color. It takes MUCH brightness,contrast,color tweaking to get this thing right. I initially was getting alot of headaches and eye strain with this monitor, because the color is just so bland. It comes default with brightness at 100, and the different presets modes are a joke. If you can get pass that and have an eye for tweaking with color and brightness, then this is an excellent deal.

More LCD's need a saturation option like this Asus LCD, its very useful especially for Xbox 360 or PS3 which tend to look bland colour wise on TN LCD panels.Xbox 360 looks pretty good on this. the setting i used for 360 720p Theatre mode, 100 brightness, 90 contrast, 73 saturation, 0 sharpness, Color Warm mode, Color temp neutral and on the xbox 360 i set the reference mode to standardOverall this is an okay to good LCD, I think other LCD TN panels can look a little better because the colours on this LCD look a bit weird or washed out at times but for the price and what you get its hard to pass up This review was modfied by poster @ 10-02-09 09:10 PM

This is a great 24" monitor for the price. It's a big upgrade from my 3 yr 22" Acer. I am very happy with my purchase. I definitely recommend this monitor to anyone who is not looking at spending more than $200 for a 24" monitor.

Great for my PC/PS3 usage, but an extra component/rgb input would've been nice. Works perfectly at 1080p, up- and downscaling pose no issue, and I haven't noticed any dead pixels or blurring. The built in speakers are pretty crappy, but the addition of a headphone jack is nice. For anyone that's stationed in Europe, like me, you'll be glad to know that it uses a normal PC power cable, and has a built in 110V/240V transformer. I couldn't find that info anywhere, and was extremely glad that it had it once I got it.

My boyfriend purchased this monitor for me to used in my home. It is exactly what I wanted and needed. I do some freelance graphic design, CGI animation, and 3D/CAD Design, so a great refresh rate and image clarity was a must. This monitor is perfect! Dont let the Name Brand fool you. There are many great buys by names you may not know so well...ASUS is such a name. While this monitor may not have all of the bells and whistles of others Comp USA officers, it fits my needs perfectly. Just one note of caution which applies to the purchase of all add-on monitors: Unlike other traditional monitors which come with your PC, you may have to fiddle with your Display settings before getting things to work just right. It has nothing to do with the ASUS or other brand name; as all monitors would require this. So, if your monitor doesnt light up and work perfectly out of the box, its most likely not defective. Just go into your PC Control Panel folder, then Display Settings, and configure your se

Light-years ahead of my old laptop's screen. Great colours and pixel resolution. Good for gaming.Some light bleeds along the top and bottom of the screen while watching movies. But I reckon sacrifices must be made to keep monitors this inexpensive.Great monitor for the price.

This is a monitor with incredible value for its price; we attached an Asus EEE Box in the VESA mounts and got a really decent little computer. The speakers are a bit feeble but sill produce sufficient sound for someone standing in front of the screen. The image quality is great, the stand holds well, the screen is responsive. I'm a big fan of silent systems and found that this LCD doesn't hum at all.

So far, it runs great. For the value it's hard to put another screen in comparison. I took it for the rebate price though, which is substantially lower than the one normally anounced.

DO NOT HESITATE on this one! Asus has proven once again they can cater to consumers looking for ultimate value in their products. Not long ago they were known for quality motherboards only...fast forward a few years now netbooks, video cards, monitors like this one and now threats of a Wii killer! I have been on the hunt for a monitor like this one and have looked at several (Samsung, HP, etc) and anything else comparable specs wise is easily $100 - $200 more. This is NOT a cheap looking or under performing display by any means, highly recommended!

I have been using a 17" Lcd for about 5 years..and before that was a 17" crt so this is a huge jump!! it's alot bigger than I thought it would be..got it on sale for $209 that's a steal for a 24" monitor. Very good monitor, looks crisp and clear and the HD monitors definitely beat the regular LCD's. Out of all the monitors I have had in the past, this one is the best by far, for the price of 299 you can't lose. Asus makes great products and you will be happy with this purchase.
