Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Comment:
Looks excellent and its massive! I very easily fit all my HDs in as nicely as my MOBO and antec 1kW PS. Hot swaps are a cool addition and make it less complicated if your working on other computers. The leading slot for your CD Rom is blocked by the hot swap cables at the top. So the leading slot is unusable. Even although it is enormous I still had to have all my cables for the PS and the MOBO smashed down at the bottom of the case for greater air flow to components. Antec...you need to consider making a double wide ATX Case and 1 that has channels that can be very easily utilized to route your cables and get them out of the way. The wire management method could have been performed superior. At the best you have 4 fans that are on the back and on the leading of the unit. You need to have to be able to move these connectors out of the way of your MOBO in order to steer clear of getting it caught in the fans. Not a large deal but it seems Antec could have taken superior care to contain a channel that these wires could be routed to come near the PS. Similar with the three fans on the front. You have to fish the wires out of a side slot that they are shoved into. It leaves little room if you wanted to attempt to use this as a cable management method. Also I had 1 of my top fans not run at the begin. I decided to take the fan out and located one screw left the frame in a bind. As soon as I loosened the screw it moved freely and I left it be and slightly loose. Not certain what the massive point of the filters are. Taking into consideration it sucks air in at other spots it only stops some dust. My guess is the hype.

Filtered Fans, Lots of Fans,Hot swap bays nice for salvage of difficult drives on crashed systems,Hot Swap two 1ǘ" I use this 1 to back up consumers lap top drives,A lot of room to work and for cable management. These are minor issues to me so didn't take away a star,no filter for added side fan,no E-Sata though I haven't utilised one however anyway but nice to have for future toys, don't care for the bars over the five 1ǚ bays but they come off uncomplicated sufficient. Plastic on doors and the bars seems sturdy sufficient or on par with most plastic on instances guess time will tell, I appear forward to modding this case :-) I have a IDE and SATA to USB Hard Drive adapter but with the Hot Swap bays I no longer have to appear for all the cables and adapters.

Lots of space for airflow and plenty of fans to support with circulation Ɨ total) and room to add 1 on the side in front of the motherboard. The capability to open the 3 fan bays on the front is actual handy to swap out drives too (which the doors are lockable to avoid access if need be). When wiring up some of the fans near the top to the back panel, be careful the wires all clear the rear leading fan. I wanted to get rid of the "Top-loaded 2.five" hot swap SATA bay" considering that i don't plan on removing it and want to totally free up room, but it was too a great deal of a discomfort to get out (although it wasn't tough to hide the added wires from it). It was an straightforward fix and other than that, no issues. Good case with plenty of room and airflow plus a cool appear to it.

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Comment:
Really well developed case in almost each and every respect. It's sturdy, simple to work with, the front panel accessibility is great and it is gorgeously spacious for almost every thing. I moved away from a water-cooled Koolance program to this case and I am absolutely glad to be free of the hassles of a watercooled system. Obviously this does not cool really as well but it cools a lot more than enough, in particular with a great CPU cooler (I chose the Zalman CNPS10X Performa). With 7 HDD's, a Radeon 5970 (stock cooler) and an Adaptec RAID card the case temp is sitting at 23CኧF. One of the principal reasons I bought this case was for its incredible difficult drive capacity. Regrettably, the case style foiled my plans a small. With a full length video card like the 5970, you shed 1, or depending on the exact placement of your slots possibly even 2 challenging drive slots, as there is just not enough room. If the case was a mere two inches deeper it would be ideal. This has also foiled my plans of putting in a second 5970 due to the fact this would make it impossible to fit my existing drives in.I am also a neat-freak with my circumstances and even though there is slightly much more room behind the mobo plate than in other circumstances, it is also just a tiny bit too tiny. The case closes but its very tight and does cause the side cover to bulge a bit. Once more, just 1 extra inch in width with a bit much more space at the back and this case would be totally excellent. If you are not putting in behemoth video cards and you need lots of drive bays, this case is fantastic. I especially like the brackets that let you have up to four hot-plug drives, and the best-mounted hot-plug bay for notebook HDD's/SSD's is incredibly welcome. The USB three. port on the front is also awesome. Accessibility from the front is also excellent. I also like the fact that you can individually manage the fan speeds. However, if you have little children that like to tweak knobs the front fans are maybe a bit too easy to tweak.

This case has TONS of room inside. The operation of the fans and the capacity to very easily clean the filters are awesome. I like the power supply on the bottom of the case because it give you additional choices for power supplys when you begin to get the bigger powersupplys such as 1000 watt and above. NONE NONE

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:-Minimal Cable Management

Pros:-Big-Lots of Room-HotSwap Bays-Easy Access to Fan Filters
Comment:
Purchased this case merely as a replacement for my 4 external hard drives, rather than have 4 drives hanging around I placed them inside the case in the 4 (included) hotswap bays. Enabling AHCI on the motherboard is not possible due to my setup, which means I technically cannot hotswap, however taking them out with the PC off is perfectly acceptable.I put the drive in an external enclosure and I'm ready to go.Cable management was an issue, however the case has a bit of leway when it comes to putting cables on the outer shell of the case (thought the 2 sides bend to accommodate). For the price and MIR, you can't go wrong.

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Comment:
This case is awesome, there is so significantly space, you wont have any trouble fitting something into it. Fans are silent even though set to high, and the filters on the front three are uncomplicated to take away and clean. Plenty of holes on the motherboard tray for routing wires to exactly where you require them. No three.5 to two.5 adapter for the drive bay. I would like to in a position to mount my SSD in it instead of mounting it to the bottom of the case or having it in the best hot swapable hub. Some folks have stated that the USB three. cord is to brief but if you route it by means of the leading and next to the IO Shield and use the best expansion slot it will reach perfectly fine with length left over to make it hidden.Over all there is absolutely nothing about this case that would make me take an egg off. Best case ive owned by far.

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Fleet swaps take up a fair amount of space so you couldn't just run them the whole way up the 3.5" rack.Installing replacement fans and attaching them to the controllers looks like it could be a pain.

Pros:Very quiet when fan speed controller turned to lowest setting.Very cool when fans turned to highest setting.Tons of room for adding 3.5" drives.Air FiltersSexyGood Cable Management
Comment:
Very nice case, still plenty of room to maneuver even with gtx 580 x 2. Usb 3 cable could've had a better route to run to the mobo. This case looks amazing in the dark with honeycomb lit patterns projected on the walls. I went with blue / red fans because I couldn't find quiet, red fans with leds. A++++ overall for my first antec case. Running this at full fan speed beside my old Thermaltake Armor with 2 fans disconnected (so 3x 120mm, zalman 9700, 1x 250mm [2x 90mm unplugged atm]) it is about half as loud as the armor which is pretty impressive since I have 6 x 120mm, 2x 140mm and the cpu fan(stock, waiting on venomous x) going. Could be the zalman 9700 cuz it is quite loud, I'll know soon enough.

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Id like a cm for space in back side for wire routing.one screw on one fan was not installed properly (easy fix)

Pros: Lots of fansLots of spacehot swappable drives
Comment:
7 fans in total. The front 3 fans are Red LED and full speed ajustable. The back 2 fans are Red LED and low/high adjustable. the top 2 fans are low/high adjustable.lots of space for those large video cards. fits a 6970 with ease.I liked the wire routing capabilities, just wished there was a cm or so extra space in the back side.I hate doors on cases. I loved the front fan doors though. I simply removed the top most covering for a dvd drive bay as I was not going to open and close that little flap everytime i wanted to use the dvd drive. It simply pop off at the hinge and that was awesome! I love the hotswappable connections which you can move around in the case. simply slid a drive in and click it was in place. I love the top hot swappable ssd drive for when i get a new ssd one day.Thank you antec!

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: As others have mentioned, the space for cable management on the side is quite limited, there for i was unable to route all my wires behind there.

Pros: Huge, has a lot of space for expansion. The airflow with all the stock fans is quite impressive and silent with all of them on low. The LED's on the fans are nicely lit up. Got it for 100$ on sale!! (:
Comment:
This is a great case for airflow and expandability down the line. If your looking for a medium sized case with incredible cable management, this case is not for you. But if you want high airflow at a inexpensive price, look no further.

Antec DF-85 Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Right side bit too tight for all the cables.Disk activity LED very difficult to see if it is flashing or not, esp. at an angle.USB 3 front panel cabling somewhat awkward. All minor issue though, I would give it 90%, or 5 stars.

Pros: Spacious, Quiet, Cool.
Comment:
Bought this case on sale and can't be happier. Quiet, cool (both temp-wise and looks-wise) and spacious. Didn't even need to put the fans full blast, but I am sure the adjustable settings will come in handy in the summer. Also love the cable management although some cables like the USB 3 to the front panel is not long enough to benefit from it.

I am amazed with this product. The seven fans it comes with keep my rig temps low and my basment suite warm. The hot swap bays made moving my drives from my old rig to this one a brezze as I didn't have to fumble with screws or take off the side panel.

Cons: Cable routing space is limited behind back panel.

Pros: Tons of spaceExcellent CoolingFan speed controlsQuiet operationEasy to work withLooks coolSupports CPX standard power supplies
Comment:
Wonderful case with tons of space and room for upgrading. Looks cool and operates cooler. Very quiet as well, especially with fan speed controls for every fan to customize your noise to cooling ratio. Allows space for my ANTEC CP850 CPX size Power supply, as well as my Noctua NH-D14 heatsink. Tons of room for any kind of build except for long motherboards above the ATX standard, and plenty of room to upgrade down the road. I plan on reusing this case for years to come.My only issue was the space for cable routing between the motherboard panel and the back panel was tight, only offering about a half inch to fit all the cables I was routing out of the way.
