Bought one after reading all the good reviews about this product. Inserted a Hitachi 500G hard drive without a problem. Runs right the way after assembled.Much better than the WD my book 500G version I owned(how bad the WD my book was? That will create a super long topic).So it seems Antec is professional on making cases and know what they are doing.Highly recommended!!! |

First one I got had a busted LED activity light. The replacement has been running fine. Not much to say really. It does what it's suppose to. Very easy to set up and matches my P182 case. The LED is white but would be nice if it was blue to go with my case. |

I bought this with a : "Western Digital SE16 320GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB 8.9MS" opened it up, putted the HD, closed it up and it worked like a charm on the first try. It wasn't too hard to set up. I use it for external picture storage so I'm not demanding a lot on the device. Really recommended for 3.5 inch HD storage, for the price, awesome ! |

This enclosure is very attractive. It is slightly bigger than the drive itself, and is made of mostly black brushed aluminium. Easy to install the sata drive, and connects via usb. I have noticed that when active the enclosure gets very hot, probably well over 60C. Best to let drive idle to cool off. Other than the lack of heat exchange, it is a very nice drive enclosure. |

Fanless drive enclosure works well, very quiet operation. The power adapter is fairly large, though it has the large part skewered to the side, so it tries to reduce the footprint on the outlet.eSATA would be a feature I would like to see added in the future though.Very happy with product so far. |

This thing looks great, for the price i would recommend to any one looking for a cheap hard drive enclosure. The only down side is that it doesn’t have an esata which is not a big problem but it would be a plus, other than that i’m happy with the buy |

I bought a couple of these and even though they are not as small as you can get for external enclosures I think they look way better than a lot of them out there. Rubber feet on one of the sides allows you to even stack them if you wish to do so. |

For the price, dont even look around. Get this enclosure. You wont be disappointed. This is the most well built enclosure Ive ever purchased. Drive does not heat up. Enclosure is pretty much silent even with the noisest drives. |

bought this for a drive that had a broken sata connector, and even if it didn't work anymore with a sata cable, it works in this enclosure.when lying flat, the rubber feet absorb all vibration, but when using the vertical base, some vibration from the HD is transferred to the desk it's sitting on. Purchased for use as a network storage device, I bought this with a 500GB Western Digital Sata hard drive. So far I am very happy with it. The rubber base absorbs some of the vibration of the drive within, and it's made of solid aluminum (except for the front bezel) so it should keep the drive relatively cool. As someone else mentioned, it does take quite some time to format the drive, so be ready for a bit of a wait. Compared to the other brands of enclosures I have used, this one is very much elite. |

I just got this along with a 500GB WD drive to do backups at home for my PC and my gf's portable.Installation in very simple: just slide the HD in place to connect SATA and power, secure with screws, and plug-in the board to power when closing the enclosure. Plug using the USB cable provided, and off you go.I'm backing up my files using Vista's Files Backup as I type this: the enclosure is nice and cool, and virtually silent.I like the clean and sober look, and the "batman" activity light ;)Happy with my purchase so far!!! |

Installing a Sata HD in this enclosure is a piece of cake and very straight forward. The case is solid and the drive mounts very secure with no flimsy pieces.I sort of assumed (like other cases) that I would have a choice of using either a Sata or USB connection to my computer -- no such luck, only USB is possible... but it works without any issues. |
Done with usual Antec quality. Looks good and performs well. Mot much more you can ask from a drive enclosure.
